Abstract

One of Perum Bulog's efforts to maintain price stability and food availability is distributing its products through the "Rumah Pangan Kita" (RPK) partnership. However, in 2022, it was recorded that most of RPK's partners would no longer run their businesses. It is suspected that this happened because the income obtained did not match the expectations of fundamental food traders. This research aims to analyze the influence of the RPK partnership factor on the income of fundamental food traders, which is calculated through Return on Asset analysis (ROA) in Malang. The sample used in this study consisted of 30 respondents and was analyzed using multiple linear regression methods. The results showed that the variables of cooperation and commitment had a significant influence on the ROA of grocery traders in Malang. Other variables do not have a significant influence. The implications of this research highlight the importance of strengthening cooperation and commitment within the RPK partnership program to improve the profitability of fundamental food traders. Moreover, the findings suggest that communication and openness, while not significantly impactful in this study, should not be overlooked but optimized as supporting factors to enhance the overall partnership effectiveness.

Abstract

In response to the growing demand for sugar that surpasses national production, enhancing sugar production capacity becomes imperative. This study, conducted in Watugede Village, Puncu District, Kediri Regency, East Java, from March to April 2019, explores the partnership dynamics between sugarcane farmers and sugar factories. Employing in-depth interviews and purposive sampling, the research assesses sugarcane farming feasibility, highlighting a favorable R/C ratio of 1.2 and a BEP unit of 37,837 kg, indicating the economic viability of sugarcane cultivation with revenues reaching Rp. 65,615,000. The agribusiness collaboration model identified is a subcontracting pattern between PG. Tjoekir and sugarcane farmers. Additionally, utilizing Porter's diamond model, the analysis reveals conducive factors supporting farmers' market access. These include favorable environmental conditions for sugarcane cultivation, a rising demand for sugar, and access to market information. In conclusion, fostering partnerships and improving farming practices showcase promising avenues for bolstering the sugar production sector.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of health consciousness and consumer perceived value (CPV) in shaping organic food purchase intentions among urban consumers in Malang City, Indonesia. Amid rising health awareness and growing demand for organic products, this research explores how functional, emotional, economic, and social value dimensions mediate the link between health consciousness and purchasing intention. A quantitative approach was employed, gathering data from 90 purposively sampled individuals with prior organic food purchasing experience. Using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), the findings reveal that while health consciousness does not directly influence purchase intention, it significantly enhances perceptions of functional, emotional, and economic value. Among CPV dimensions, functional and economic values have the strongest positive impact on purchase intention, whereas emotional value shows no significant effect, and social value is found to be insignificant. These results highlight that consumers primarily pursue organic food for utilitarian benefits related to health safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness rather than for social recognition or emotional gratification. The study underscores the importance of targeted marketing strategies that emphasize tangible product benefits and consumer education to boost organic food consumption. Implications include the need for policy support and certification transparency to bridge gaps between health awareness and sustainable consumption behavior. This research contributes to the literature by clarifying the indirect pathways through which health consciousness influences purchase decisions via CPV constructs.
