Abstract

The transition period for new nurses when entering the workforce and joining a nursing unit is an important period. The role of the head of the room as a first-line manager is also very important in planning, organizing, leading, directing, supervising and evaluating the process of implementing nursing care by new nurses. To explore the relationship between the unit head's leadership model and retention program with the turnover intention of new nurses in the Hospital. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive phenomenological approach. The sampling technique used is systematic purposive sampling (Systematic Purposive Sampling). The population of new nurses for the period January-March 2021 was 100 people. The research sample is the population of each serial number 1, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100 or a total of 11 samples. This sample will undergo in-depth interviews and FGDs, for 6 weeks on June 14 - July 26, 2021. We use qualitative content analysis and cross-case analysis techniques with the nvivo 12 plus software program. The result of this study Identified and explored the experiences of new nurses towards the leadership model of the head of the room, retention programs and turnover intentions at Private Hospital X, South Jakarta. The results of the study found: transformational leadership models, career ladder programs, orientation programs and professional development programs have an influence on preventing turnover intentions of new nurses.

Abstract

The growing reliance on e-learning platforms has highlighted the importance of interaction design in shaping student engagement and learning outcomes. Poorly designed digital learning environments often lead to low motivation, decreased participation, and reduced retention rates. Ensuring that interaction design effectively supports student engagement is essential for optimizing online learning experiences. This study aims to examine the impact of interaction design elements, including navigation structure, multimedia integration, and user experience, on student engagement in e-learning environments. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining a usability assessment of e-learning platforms, student engagement surveys, and instructor interviews. Findings indicate that intuitive navigation, interactive multimedia, and real-time feedback mechanisms significantly enhance student participation and learning satisfaction. Statistical analysis revealed a strong correlation between well-designed interaction features and improved student retention rates. The study concludes that incorporating user-centered interaction design principles in e-learning platforms enhances engagement and contributes to more effective learning experiences. Future research should explore adaptive and AI-driven interaction design models to further optimize student-centered digital learning environments.

Abstract

One of the main causes of infant mortality is low birth weight babies. Low birth weight babies are high risk babies and are susceptible to various problems such as the risk of respiratory infections, low blood sugar levels (hypoglycemia), eating disorders, too many red blood cells and the risk of experiencing hypothermia. Hypothermia in babies with low birth weight is caused by very thin subcutaneous fat so it is influenced by environmental temperature. In general, babies with low birth weight must be treated with an incubator or using the KMC method so that their body temperature is maintained. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge of the Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) method among mothers and the increase in Low Birth Weight (LBW) Babies in the NICU Room at Mayapada Hospital, South Jakarta. This research is quantitative using a correlative analytical descriptive design with a cross sectional approach. Conclusion: shows that there is a significant relationship between knowledge about the Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) Method in mothers and the increase in Low Birth Weight (LBW) in the NICU room at Mayapada Hospital, South Jakarta.
