Abstract

Posyandu is a community-based health facility that provides services for 5 main activities of Maternal and Child Health (KIA), Family Planning (KB), Nutrition, Immunization and Prevention and Control of Diarrhea which are carried out from, by, for and with the community. In 2022, the number of visits by mothers and toddlers at the posyandu in the Lingkar Timur Health Center work area was 85%, while in 2023 the coverage of visits by mothers and toddlers decreased to 68%). The low coverage of maternal participation in the posyandu can be seen from the toddler weighing data. Several factors that cause the low coverage of maternal participation in the posyandu include: maternal knowledge, posyandu activities, toddler nutritional status, motivation, maternal attitude and distance to the posyandu. The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between knowledge and motivation and visits by mothers and toddlers to the posyandu. This research is an observational analytical study with a cross-sectional approach. This research was conducted in the Lingkar Timur Health Center Work Area on June 1-24, 2024. The number of samples in this study was 50 toddlers in the Lingkar Timur Health Center Work Area. The sampling technique used the total sampling method and the analysis used the chi-square statistical test. The results of the research showed that there was a corelation between knowledge and visits by mothers of toddlers at the integrated health post with a p-value of 0.016 and there was a correlation between motivation and visits by mothers of toddlers at the integrated health post with a p-value of 0.004. The researcher suggests that the Lingkar Timur Health Center increase the knowledge, understanding and motivation of mothers of toddlers about visits to the integrated health post by using appropriate promotional media such as leaflets, posters and others through counseling to each integrated health post.

Abstract

Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2021, the incidence of caesarean section worldwide increased to 21%. In Indonesia, vaginal delivery reached 81.5% and caesarean section 17.6%. In Bengkulu Province in 2023, 64% of deliveries were carried out by CS, 36% were normal deliveries. The most common CS action in Bengkulu City is 45%, and at Ummi Bengkulu Hospital, the incidence of caesarean sections has increased in the last 3 years. This type of research is quantitative with a longitudinal study method (Nursalam, 2016). The population of this study was all mothers giving birth at Ummi Bengkulu Hospital from January-December 2023 and January-June 2024, totaling 4586 people. The case sample was mothers giving birth with caesarean section due to indications of complications. Calculation of secondary data samples, calculation of total samples using the g-power calculation concept of 1293 respondents. From the caesarean section prevalence test, it is known that the number of caesarean section prevalence is 23.59% with a 95% CI range of 21.35-25.98. These results indicate that the number of caesarean sections at RSU Ummi Bengkulu from 2023-26 July 2024 was 305. This shows that the prevalence of caesarean sections is relatively high. There is a significant conclusive relationship between caesarean sections at RSU Ummi Bengkulu: preeclampsia (OR 6.55, 95%: 1.19-35.9, p-value: 0.025), premature rupture of membranes (OR: 9.81, 95%CI: 1.02-94.60, p-value: 0.0297) and fetal distress (OR: 1516.63, 95%CI: 588.5-3908.5, p-value: 0.0001). The researcher suggests that RSU Ummi Bengkulu collaborate with various parties to reduce indicators related to the occurrence of caesarean section, which is known to cause maternal and infant death, in order to reduce the incidence of AKI. This study is also a reference material that can be used as information media to conduct research development that has the same research outcomes. Expansion of the use of covariate variables to see the causal relationship of independent variables that are connected to dependent variables so that the dominant factor of caesarean section is known.

In 2017 there were 20 million cases of abortion in the world each year and 70,000 women died from abortion each year. Abortion cases in Southeast Asia amount to 4.2 million per year. In Indonesia, the incidence of abortion is 10-15% of 6 million pregnancies each year or 600,000-900,000. Artificial abortion is ± 750,000-1.5 million annually, 2,500 of which end in death (World Health Organization, 2020). Based on an initial survey that was conducted in December at Ummi Bengkulu Hospital, there were 20 pregnant women who experienced abortion, pregnant women with ages <20 years and >35 years were 3 (15%), pregnant women with parity 1 and more than >3 were 5 (25%), pregnant women with age >35 years parity >3 have a history of abortion amounted to 3 (15%), pregnant women with age >35 years parity >3 amounted to 2 (10%), pregnant women with parity >3 have and history of abortion amounted to 1 (5%), pregnant women with age 20-35 years parity 2-3 do not have a history of abortion amounted to 3 (15%). The method used in this study is quantitative, namely research used to determine the relationship between two variables with a longitudinal study approach. Univariate results A small proportion of abortions have age at risk, a small proportion of abortions occur in primiparous, multiparous pregnancies and most in multiparous rande pregnancies, a small proportion of pregnancies with a history of abortion, most have pregnancies without a history of abortion. bivariate results There is a significant conclusive relationship with abortion at Ummi Hospital bengkulu in 2024. In order to make input to pregnant women, mothers should control their pregnancy by doing ANC, avoiding things that have a negative impact on pregnancy, and maintaining mental health in accordance with the provisions of the government in order to avoid the incidence of abortion in future pregnancies.
