Abstract

Low Back Pain is pain that is felt in the lower back area starting from below the ribs or waist radicular pain is localized and both are often accompanied by pain from the legs to the legs. Actions to improve low back pain prevention behavior by providing ergonomics demonstration. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of ergonomics demonstration on low back pain prevention behavior in apple chip making workers in Bumiaji Village, Batu City. The research design uses a Pre-Experiment design with a One-Group Pre-Post Test Design. The research population was 240 apple chip making workers and the research sample was 71 respondents with determination using simple random sampling. The data collection technique uses an instrument in the form of an observation sheet for low back pain prevention behavior. The data analysis method used is the Paired T Test. The results of the study showed that before being given the ergonomics demonstration, almost all 57 (80.3%) respondents had low back pain prevention behaviors in the poor category and after being given the ergonomics demonstration, almost all 58 (81.7%) respondents had low back pain prevention behaviors in the good category. The results of the Paired T Test proved that there was an effect of ergonomics demonstration on low back pain prevention behavior in apple chip makers in Bumiaji Village, Batu City, with a value of p = (0.000). The conclusion Ha is accepted, meaning that there is an effect of ergonomics demonstration on low back pain prevention behavior in apple chip making workers in Bumiaji Village, Batu City, meaning that ergonomics demonstration given for 20-30 minutes for 1 treatment is able to improve low back pain prevention behavior from less to good.

Abstract

Digital literacy is the knowledge and skills of users in using digital media. Exclusive breastfeeding behavior is the knowledge, perception and attitude as well as real actions of mothers and their environment towards exclusive breastfeeding. In overcoming obstacles by finding the best solution so that they can continue to provide breast milk for up to 6 months. The study aims to determine the relationship between the role of digital literacy as a source of health information and family support for the success of Exclusive Breastfeeding practices. This research design uses a quantitative method with a cross-sectional epidemiological study approach. The population in this study were all mothers who had babies aged ≥6 Months - 2 Years with a maternal age range of 20-35 Years. The sampling technique used was a quota sampling technique. Data collection was in the form of an online questionnaire in the form of a google form link. The result of this research is the total 130 respondents, 91 respondents succeeded in providing exclusive breastfeeding while 37 other respondents were unable to provide exclusive breastfeeding to their babies. The test results showed (p = 0.646) that digital literacy did not have a significant role in the success of exclusive breastfeeding practices. While the results of the Chi-square analysis test on family support showed a value (p = 0.088) that family support also did not have a significant role in the success of exclusive breastfeeding practices. Other supporting factors are needed that must also play a role so that there is real action from the mother to provide exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract

River water is one of the main sources of community needs in rural areas, including in Seruyan Regency. This study aims to assess the feasibility of utilizing water from the Seruyan River Basin (DAS) for public health. The research method uses a qualitative approach with data triangulation and water pollution index analysis based on environmental quality standards. Data were obtained from field observations, documentation studies, and in-depth interviews with residents, community health center officers, village officials, and environmental agencies. The results show that the water pollution index of the Seruyan River Basin is in the light to moderate pollution category, with water quality not yet fully meeting quality standards for household clean water needs. Residents still use river water for bathing, washing, and daily activities, despite frequent complaints of skin problems and digestive disorders. Interviews with health workers confirmed that skin disease complaints are quite high in the riverbank area. It was concluded that the use of Seruyan River water is unsuitable for direct consumption without treatment. Improvements in water quality management, public education, and local government policies regarding clean water provision are recommended.

Abstract

Cigarettes are a major cause of health problems, particularly serious lung disease. Smoking habits among adolescents are increasing and can pose long-term health risks. Effective education about the dangers of smoking is crucial from an early age. The use of direct visualization media is believed to improve students' understanding and awareness better than conventional methods. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of direct visualization about the dangers of smoking on the lungs in improving the knowledge and attitudes of students at SMAN 1 Kandat. This research was pre-experimental study with one-group pretest-posttest design. The research samples were 95 eleventh-grade students. The Samples were chosen with accidental technique sampling that selected based on discussions conducted by all examiners and guidance counselors at SMAN 1 Kandat. The main instrument was a valid and reliable questionnaire to measure knowledge and attitudes before and after visualization intervention with simulation. The study showed a significant increase in knowledge, from the “poor” category (86.3%) before the intervention to “good” (88.4%) after the intervention. Attitudes also shifted from predominantly negative (76.8%) to more positive (89.5%) after the intervention. The Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test showed a significant difference in knowledge and attitudes before and after the intervention (p < 0.05), so there was a difference in knowledge and attitudes before and after direct visualization. This study found that the use of direct visualization as "shock therapy" was more effective in increasing students' knowledge and modifying their attitudes than conventional educational methods. This innovative strategy is recommended as a component of school health programs to foster awareness and preventative behavior among adolescents.
