Abstract

The escalating environmental problems has become a real threat for human, economic growth, and the environment itself. The sustainability of a business shall not be prioritized to profit only; it must also be achieved for environmental and social wellbeing as well as for dynamic changes. Green entrepreneurial orientation is a concept that carries strategic measures for environmentally-friendly business and sustainable business performance improvement. Further, green entrepreneurial orientation and green innovation are crucial concepts that must be applied by micro, small, and medium-sized entrepreneurs, particularly since MSMEs have more freedom and flexibility in innovation compared to larger companies. This research aims to analyze the effects of green entrepreneurial orientation on the performance of tempe chips business in Sanan of Malang City through the mediation of green innovation. The respondents of this explanatory research are 42 owners of MSMEs that are members of Sanan Tempe Chips Industrial Center Association in Malang City. The research instruments were assessed using validity and reliability tests, and the data was analyzed using Partial Least Squares. This study finds that green entrepreneurial orientation affects firm performance, that green innovation influences firm performance, and that green innovation mediates the influence of green entrepreneurial orientation on firm performance.

Abstract

Purpose: To determine the direct influence of employer branding, social media, organizational attractiveness, and corporate reputation on the intention to apply for a job. Additionally, the study aims to investigate the indirect effect of employer branding on the intention to apply for a job through social media, organizational attractiveness, and corporate reputation. Research methodology: The research was conducted on university alumni in Malang. It employed a survey method using a questionnaire as the data collection tool. The study involved 210 respondents from both public and private universities in Malang. A Likert scale ranging from 1 to 5 was used for measurement. The analysis was performed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with PLS software. Results: The study reveals that employer branding significantly boosts job application intentions, with social media serving as a mediator that amplifies this impact. Organizational attractiveness, emphasizing product quality and workplace environment, emerges as the most influential factor. Corporate reputation also positively influences job application intentions and mediates the relationship with employer branding. These interconnected factors offer valuable guidance for enhancing recruitment strategies. Limitations: The study has limitations, including its focus university alumni in Malang. Contribution: This research can be seen from several aspects that are relevant to both theory and practice in the fields of human resource management and organizational marketing, particularly related to employer branding and recruitment.

Abstract

Kewirausahaan merupakan salah satu pilar utama dalam pembangunan ekonomi, namun tantangan dalam mengembangkan jiwa wirausaha di Indonesia, terutama pada sektor usaha kecil dan menengah, masih cukup signifikan. Salah satu hambatan terbesar adalah kurangnya penanaman mindset kewirausahaan di tingkat pendidikan dasar, yang berakibat pada rendahnya minat siswa untuk terlibat dalam kegiatan wirausaha di masa depan. Melalui program pengabdian masyarakat ini, dilakukan strategi untuk menanamkan dan mengembangkan pola pikir kewirausahaan kepada siswa kelas 11 di SMP Negeri 11 Madiun. Kegiatan ini dimulai dengan workshop yang memperkenalkan konsep dan prinsip kewirausahaan, serta diikuti dengan sesi praktik pembuatan produk rajut sederhana. Pendekatan praktis ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kreativitas siswa, sekaligus memberikan gambaran nyata mengenai proses penciptaan nilai dalam kewirausahaan. Selain itu, siswa juga diberikan pemahaman mendasar mengenai penggunaan media sosial sebagai alat promosi, serta bagaimana memanfaatkan media tersebut secara efektif untuk mengembangkan bisnis di era digital. Edukasi ini mencakup sosialisasi penggunaan media sosial dan pelatihan pembuatan konten yang menarik dan relevan dengan tren saat ini. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kesadaran dan minat siswa terhadap kewirausahaan serta kemampuan mereka dalam memanfaatkan kreativitas dan teknologi digital sebagai modal penting dalam membangun usaha. Diharapkan, program ini dapat menjadi model yang efektif dalam menumbuhkan jiwa kewirausahaan di kalangan siswa sejak dini, yang pada akhirnya akan berkontribusi pada peningkatan jumlah wirausaha muda dan penguatan ekonomi lokal di wilayah Madiun
