Abstract

This study discusses the application of montage media to improve the speaking skills of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 07/III Sungai Abu, Kerinci Regency. The cycle process which includes four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection becomes part of the implementation of this research. Based on observation, interview and documentation techniques, the data obtained is then processed through data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study found that the application of montage media to improve students' speaking skills was carried out in the following steps: (1) the teacher used a storytelling strategy (2) the teacher prepared tools and drawing materials from various references according to the sub-theme of learning material in the form of newspapers, magazines, Or pictures from the internet. (3) the teacher divides students classically from groups consisting of 4-5 students per group, in pairs then individually. (4) the teacher gives rewards such as a shining star symbol. Whereas the results of the learning process on speaking skills are shown from the results in each cycle that has been carried out, the achievement is with an average pre-action of 44.42%, the first cycle has increased to an average of 54.80% while the second cycle has increased significantly to 80.57%.

Abstract

The problem occurs in the learning process, where elementary school students are less motivated to understand material in the form of stories without pictures. Therefore, the researcher conducts this study to develop digital fairy tale media that is applied to second grade of elementary school students. This research is a type of research and development (R&D) or research and development according to Bord and Gall. The steps taken in this research and development, namely: research and data collection, planning, initial product development, initial field trials, revision of trial results, field trials, product enhancements that have been refined, field implementation trials, product improvement final, cementation and implementation. The research subjects were elementary school students. The product produced in this research is digital fairy tale learning media which was developed to add a variety of media. The results of the study show that the digital fairy tale learning media developed using the Bord and Gall model has been declared valid. Based on the material assessment it obtained a percentage of 75% with valid criteria, language assessment obtained a percentage of 95.45% with very valid criteria, and the media assessment obtained a percentage of 86.45% with very valid criteria. From students obtained through product trials in small groups, namely obtaining a score percentage of 90.52% with very valid criteria, and large group field trials obtaining a score percentage of 95.40% with very valid assessment criteria, and has a level of effectiveness of 93.63%.

Abstract

This study examines IT-based HR development strategies in Islamic higher education and boarding schools in Indonesia, focusing on the Faculty of Tarbiyah at Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Thaha Saifuddin, Jambi. It also explores the integration of IT in primary school teacher of education training programs. The research employed interviews, surveys, and document analysis using a case study approach. Participants included faculty members, administrators, students, and teachers/administrators from selected Islamic boarding schools. The findings show the faculty's progressive integration of IT-based HR development strategies. These include Learning Management Systems (LMS), online training modules, virtual classrooms, and educational apps. These tools improve instruction, student engagement, and administrative efficiency. The study also highlights the inclusion of IT in basic school teacher education training programs. Incorporating IT skills into the curriculum is crucial for prospective teachers to effectively use educational technologies in their classrooms. This research enhances the understanding of IT-based HR development strategies in Indonesia's Islamic higher education and boarding schools. It guides educational institutions and policymakers for better integration of IT in teacher education programs, promoting effective HR development strategies, and improving overall educational quality.
