Abstract

Rabbit (Oryctogalus cuniculus) is a livestock that has great potential as a pet or ornamental animal, producing meat and skin/hair (Raharjo et al. 2001). The development of rabbit farming in Indonesia has been growing in the community because it is easy to maintain, relatively does not require large capital, the business cycle is relatively fast, produces a variety of products, there are not many competitors, can utilize narrow land and can use agricultural waste as feed. This study aims to analyze the impact of the feed given to rabbits, to analyze what content is in starfruit leaf flour and to facilitate the selection of alternative feeds such as leaves. The research method used was to analyze how the effect of the ratio of regular feeding and using starfruit leaves (Averrhoa carambola L.) on body weight in rabbits (Oryctogalus cuniculus). Abstract

Based on the results of a needs analysis survey conducted on biology teachers at SMA Cerdas Murni and students of class XI IPA. Biology teachers, teachers rarely use PowerPoint when teaching in class and only use visual media in teaching and learning activities. Teachers also use traditional teaching techniques, such as lectures, in their lesson plans. Students are only given homework through printed LKS, which are less interesting and participatory because they only contain questions and are not colored. This study uses the R&D (Research and Development) method. The 4-D model development design created by Thiagarajan (1974) with the stages of Define, Design, Build, and Disseminate is used in this study to build the product. For class XI IPA students of SMA/MA, this study produces Electronic Student Worksheets (e-LKPD) on the respiratory system based on problem-based learning using the Padlet platform. The test subjects used were class XI IPA students of SMA Cerdas Murni. The selection of class XI as the subject of the study was because the Respiratory System material is found in class XI Biology learning. Data collection instruments in the form of a questionnaire for analyzing the needs of biology teachers and students, documentation, validation sheets. The results obtained that the effectiveness of the pretest and posttest results were obtained with an N-Gain percentage of 0.76 with an effective category and the N-Gain score obtained was 76% with a high category. Both aspects of validity, practicality and effectiveness with a large percentage indicate that E-LKPD based on problem based learning with the Padlet platform for respiratory system material is feasible to be used in learning activities. ABSTRAKBerdasarkan hasil survei analisis kebutuhan yang dilakukan terhadap guru biologi SMA Cerdas Murni dan siswa kelas XI IPA. Guru biologi, guru jarang menggunakan PowerPoint saat mengajar di kelas dan hanya menggunakan media visual dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Guru juga menggunakan teknik mengajar tradisional, seperti ceramah, dalam rencana pembelajarannya. Siswa hanya diberikan pekerjaan rumah melalui LKS cetak, yang kurang menarik dan partisipatif karena hanya berisi pertanyaan dan tidak berwarna. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode R&D (Research and Development). Desain pengembangan model 4-D yang dibuat oleh Thiagarajan (1974) dengan tahapan Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk membangun produk. Untuk siswa kelas XI IPA SMA/MA, penelitian ini menghasilkan Lembar Kerja Siswa Elektronik (e-LKPD) pada sistem pernapasan berbasis pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan menggunakan platform Padlet. Subjek uji coba yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Cerdas Murni. Pemilihan kelas XI sebagai subjek penelitian karena materi Sistem Pernapasan terdapat pada pembelajaran Biologi kelas XI. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa angket untuk analisis kebutuhan guru dan siswa biologi, dokumentasi, lembar validasi. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa keefektifan hasil pretes dan postes diperoleh dengan persentase N-Gain sebesar 0,76 dengan kategori efektif dan skor N-Gain yang diperoleh sebesar 76% dengan kategori tinggi. Baik aspek validitas, praktikalitas maupun keefektifan dengan persentase yang besar menunjukkan bahwa E-LKPD berbasis problem based learning dengan platform Padlet untuk materi sistem pernapasan layak digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research was conducted in the courtyard of Lau Dendang Village, Medan, North Sumatra. Which is carried out from October to November. This research was conducted to study the manufacture of compost using the vermicomposting method which utilizes organic waste such as rotting vegetables and to determine differences in growth rates from applying compost and water to mustard greens. The results of this study indicate that the application of compost from rotting vegetable waste has an impact on mustard plants which produce stem height, number of leaves and leaf width, in the application of water the resulting impact also develops well, but not as well as in the application of compost fertilizer. So it can be concluded that the application of compost has more influence on the rate of growth and development of mustard greens because it can increase the fertility in the soil.

Abstract

Croquettes are a spicy appetizer and a kind of continental dish made from carbohydrates and animal protein, with the addition of vegetables. This dedication is carried out in Sampali Village, Deli Serdang Regency. The aim is to raise awareness or empower the community through training seminars that utilize sweet potatoes as a staple ingredient to replace potatoes in making croquettes. The stages of implementing this dedication include observation, planning, action, and evaluation. The method used is the PAR (Participatory Action Research) method with the aim of building community awareness or empowering the community through critical education by dialogue, public discussion, and adult learning. The results of this activity include increased knowledge of students and the community with the innovation of students in making croquettes from sweet potatoes filled with meat and vegetables, making it a potential business for students and the community. The selling price of sweet potato croquettes is 5000/3pcs.
