Abstract

This research examines the utilization of broadcast media in disseminating Islamic religious values through a case study of the program "Islam Itu Indah" on TRANSTV. The research method used is qualitative descriptive research with a case study approach. The main findings of this study include an analysis of the program's effectiveness in spreading religious values, public response and participation, and factors influencing the utilization of broadcast media in this context. The study aims to analyze the utilization of broadcast media in disseminating Islamic religious values through a case study of the program "Islam Itu Indah" on TRANSTV. The research method used is qualitative descriptive research with a case study approach. Data were collected through program content analysis, interviews with stakeholders such as producers, media observers, and program viewers, as well as observations of the public's response to the program. The results of the study indicate that the program "Islam Itu Indah" is effective in conveying religious values through broadcast media. The public's response to this program varies, with the majority expressing appreciation for the positive and inspirational portrayal of religious values. Factors such as high-quality program content, selection of credible speakers, and effective promotion strategies contribute to the success of this program in disseminating religious messages. However, there are also challenges faced, such as competition with similar programs, changing audience preferences, and criticism of religious representation in the media. Thus, this study not only provides an overview of the effectiveness of the "Islam Itu Indah" program in spreading religious values but also highlights the complexity and dynamics in utilizing broadcast media for religious purposes.The practical implications of this study include recommendations for developing more innovative and audience-relevant program content, more effective communication strategies to reach a wider audience, and efforts to enhance the production quality and promotion of religious programs in broadcast media. Therefore, this study makes a significant contribution to understanding the role of media in conveying religious messages and formulating more effective strategies for media utilization in a religious context.

Abstract

In the last decade, the number of Muslimah-preneurs active on social media has significantly increased, especially on Instagram. Muslimah-preneurs, or Muslim women entrepreneurs, utilize Instagram to promote their businesses and build an identity as entrepreneurs committed to integrity and Islamic values. The Instagram account @auliyafadlilah serves as an intriguing example of how a Muslimah-preneur constructs a complex virtual identity. This study focuses on the identity construction of Auliya Fadlilah as a Muslimah-preneur on Instagram, the mediatization of religion in her content, and the commodification of religion for marketing purposes. The study aims to explore the virtual identity construction process and identify commodification practices resulting from the mediatization of religion on Instagram. A qualitative method was employed, using Michel Foucault's technologies of the self framework, which explains how individuals transform themselves to achieve their desired perfection. The findings reveal that the construction of a Muslimah-preneur's virtual identity, the mediatization of religion, and the commodification of religion are interrelated and mutually reinforcing on social media. Auliya Fadlilah utilizes Instagram to shape her identity as a successful and religious Muslimah-preneur. Through posts and captions that highlight Islamic values, personal stories, and business achievements, Auliya constructs an inspiring and trustworthy self-image for her followers. The use of religious language and symbols strengthens this identity and fosters emotional connections with her audience. Mediatization of religion occurs as Auliya employs Instagram to disseminate Islamic teachings and values, making them more accessible to a wider audience. The commodification of religion emerges as a consequence of this mediatization, where religious elements such as halal products and endorsements aligned with Islamic values are commercialized to generate financial profit. The simultaneous interplay of virtual identity construction, mediatization, and commodification of religion creates a demand for products and services aligned with Islamic values.

Abstract

Era new media menuntut lembaga pendidikan Islam untuk mengadaptasi strategi komunikasi digital guna mempertahankan eksistensi dan daya saing. Yayasan Al-Furqon Sampora Cendikia menghadapi tantangan dalam pengelolaan media sosial dan sistem komunikasi internal yang belum optimal. Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas pengelolaan media sosial dan manajemen komunikasi organisasi melalui pendekatan partisipatif dan kontekstual. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama dua pekan pada April 2025 di Desa Sukamenak, Kecamatan Margahayu, Kabupaten Bandung, melibatkan 17 peserta dari berbagai elemen yayasan. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup ceramah interaktif, workshop aplikatif, pendampingan individual, dan evaluasi reflektif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta dengan skor pre-test 45,2 meningkat menjadi 78,6 pada post-test (peningkatan 73,9%). Implementasi langsung menghasilkan peningkatan aktivitas posting dari 2-3 menjadi 5-7 postingan per minggu, engagement rate Instagram meningkat dari 2,1% menjadi 5,8%, dan followers bertambah 34%. Terbentuknya tim khusus pengelola media sosial dengan SOP yang jelas menjadi output konkret program. Keberhasilan ini berkontribusi pada transparansi, akuntabilitas, dan modernisasi sistem manajemen organisasi nirlaba di era digital

Abstract

Cancer remains a persistent global health challenge, often accompanied by profound emotional and spiritual distress, particularly during intensive treatment phases such as chemotherapy. This study presents an in-depth analysis of the effectiveness of various forms of spiritual interventions, including individual spiritual counseling, spiritual support groups, and religious meditation or dzikir practices, in sustaining the psychological well-being of patients. Employing a qualitative research design with a phenomenological approach, this study explores the subjective experiences of patients undergoing these interventions. The theoretical framework is grounded in Kenneth I. Pargament’s theory of religious coping, which emphasizes faith and religious practices as adaptive mechanisms in confronting life’s adversities. The findings of this study are expected to offer contextual and applicable insights into the role of spirituality in enhancing mental resilience among cancer patients, and to generate practical recommendations for healthcare providers on integrating spiritual dimensions into a holistic care system.

Abstract

This study analyzes the political communication strategy implemented by PKS Depok through their Instagram account. Discussing the importance of social media as a means of political communication in reaching potential voters. The research methodology in this study is qualitative with content analysis of PKS Depok's Instagram posts, focusing on the selection of orange, emphasizing the value of togetherness, and participation in social activities. The results of the discussion show PKS Depok's efforts in building a strong visual identity by using orange as the party's identity, as well as emphasizing togetherness and social activities as a way to build emotional attachment with voters. The implication is that this strategy can improve the party's image and community involvement through social media, but more attention is needed to diversify content in order to convey the party's programs and vision in more detail. This study uses a descriptive method with the aim of describing and identifying phenomena related to PKS Depok's social media posts systematically and objectively. A qualitative approach was chosen to collect and analyze data in depth, so that it can understand the experiences and perspectives of research subjects in a complex context. Data were collected through observations of PKS Depok's Instagram posts and literature studies related to the research theme. The author acts as a follower of the PKS Depok Instagram account, observes relevant posts, and analyzes data using qualitative techniques. The data findings are described and concluded as the final results of this study.
