Abstract

The background of this research is the high conformity of truant behavior in class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Cipeundeuy. The purpose of this study was to find out the conformity of truant behavior before being given service, the implementation of the service and the effectiveness of group guidance services using the Cinematherapy technique to reduce the conformity of truant behavior in class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Cipeundeuy. In this study using the Mix Methode with the explanatory sequential design. This design is the use of two quantitative and qualitative research methods sequentially (sequence). The population of this study was 100 students using a purposive sampling technique, namely 8 students who had a high conformity category based on the results of the pre-test. Quantitative data were collected using a conformity questionnaire for truant behavior, then for qualitative data using observation and interview techniques. The results of this study indicate that the majority are in the medium category, namely 72%, and the implementation of group guidance services using cinematherapy techniques is effective in reducing truant behavior conformity, which originally was in the high category to become low after being given group guidance services using cinematherapy techniques for two meetings.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether problem solving techniques can reduce students' aggressive This research aims to find out whether problem solving techniques can reduce students' aggressive behavior in group guidance services. Aggressive behavior is behavior that aims to injure or destroy. The research was located at Karya Pembangunan Ciparay Middle School. The research method used is a Mix method with a Sequential Exploratory design. The student subjects were selected using a non-probability sampling technique with a purposive sampling type, namely with the criteria of class VIII students and a high/moderate aggressive behavior scale, totaling 6 students. Data collection is through non-test instruments in the form of interviews and observations, and test instruments in the form of questionnaires. The research results can be seen from the t-test calculation carried out with the help of SPSS 23.0 which states that the average before service was 94.83 and after service 50.83 which shows a significant decrease, while the sig (2-tailed) value is 0.000 or < 0.05 so it can be concluded that problem solving techniques have a significant relationship to reducing aggressive behavior in students.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to assess the effectiveness of group guidance using a shaping approach to reduce academic procrastination behavior among students who fail to complete academic assignments. Group guidance that uses shaping techniques aims to help modify negative behavior into positive behavior by changing initial behavior into final behavior, thus showing the expected or desired behavior. This research uses a Mix Method or a combination of quantitative data and qualitative data using the Explanatory Sequential Design research design. Quantitative data processing techniques use questionnaires, while qualitative data is processed using observation, interviews and documentation studies. Using a purposive sampling procedure, the subjects in this research were ten students. Based on the findings showing that the research hypothesis was accepted, group guidance assisted by shaping techniques succeeded in reducing students' academic procrastination behavior, obtained t-count = -21.124 with a significance level (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. Specifically, there were variations in the level of academic procrastination behavior before and during group guidance treatment.
