Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to explore the collaboration between principals and guidance counselors as a strategy to optimize the supervision of counseling services in schools. Through the literature review method, this research collects and analyzes various relevant literature sources. The research population includes journal articles, books, and other research reports. Data were collected from academic databases such as Google Scholar and national libraries using appropriate keywords. The results of the study indicate that effective collaboration between principals and guidance counselors can improve the quality of counseling supervision, overcome the challenges faced by guidance counselors, and strengthen support for students. This collaboration can also create a more inclusive and responsive school environment to student needs. Furthermore, the study finds that the success of this collaboration heavily depends on open communication, a deep understanding of each role, and a shared commitment to ongoing professional development. The implications for the field of education suggest that strengthening the collaboration between principals and guidance counselors should be a priority in efforts to enhance the effectiveness of counseling supervision. This can be achieved through professional training and development, as well as the creation of school policies that support such collaboration. Thus, schools can provide more effective counseling services for students. Keywords: Collaboration, Principal, Counselor,Supervision, Guidance, Counseling Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi kolaborasi antara kepala sekolah dan guru BK sebagai strategi untuk mengoptimalkan supervisi layanan konseling di sekolah. Melalui metode tinjauan literatur, penelitian ini mengumpulkan dan menganalisis berbagai sumber literatur yang relevan. Populasi penelitian mencakup artikel jurnal, buku, dan laporan penelitian lainnya. Data dikumpulkan dari basis data akademik seperti Google Scholar dan perpustakaan nasional dengan menggunakan kata kunci yang sesuai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kolaborasi yang efektif antara kepala sekolah dan guru BK dapat meningkatkan kualitas supervisi konseling, mengatasi tantangan yang dihadapi oleh guru BK, dan memperkuat dukungan bagi siswa. Kolaborasi ini juga dapat menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang lebih nyaman dan responsif terhadap kebutuhan siswa. Selain itu, penelitian menemukan bahwa keberhasilan kolaborasi ini sangat bergantung pada komunikasi yang terbuka, pemahaman yang mendalam tentang setiap peran, dan komitmen bersama untuk pengembangan profesional yang berkelanjutan. Implikasi bagi bidang pendidikan menunjukkan bahwa memperkuat kolaborasi antara kepala sekolah dan guru BK harus menjadi prioritas dalam upaya meningkatkan efektivitas supervisi konseling. Hal ini dapat dicapai melalui pelatihan dan pengembangan profesional, serta penciptaan kebijakan sekolah yang mendukung kolaborasi tersebut. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of classical guidance services in preventing bullying behavior in students. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of action research. The sample consisted of 88 students in grades VII and VIII at SMPN 4 Tambang who were selected through purposive sampling techniques based on the highest bullying behavior scores. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that classical guidance services delivered communicatively with the help of PowerPoint presentation media and supporting videos about bullying behavior, are able to improve students' understanding of the forms of bullying, as well as foster an attitude of empathy and mutual respect. In addition, students' active participation in discussions and reflections shows a positive change in attitude. This service has proven effective as a preventive effort in creating a safe and bullying-free school environment.
