Abstract

Background and Study Aim. Electrolyte drinks are ion replacement drinks in the body that also help as additional energy.  Moreover, it is said that this drink is not a drug because it has not been clinically tested so that it is included in the list and also complementary drinks have benefits and side effects for its users, of course, supplement drinks that isotonic drinks affect dehydration and isotonic drinks can normalize body fluids that have been lost during exercise. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in the usefulness of Pocari and Mineral for fluids in the body after prolonged exercise.Material and Methods. This research is an experimental method. The population in this study were Tanjungpura University Sports Students Semester 5 with a total of 18 people divided into 2 groups so each group contained 9 people. In this study, the sample was given physical activity treatment through running 1200 meters. Furthermore, Pcoari and Mineral drinks were given to see the effect on pulse rate. Data analysis was assisted using SPSS 26.Results. The results show a significance value of 0.173 > 0.05 so it can be concluded that the data results of pocari water and mineral water do not experience significant differences. These results provide information that provides the same impact on pulse rate after physical activity. However, the mean value results show that mineral water (162.56) is smaller than pocari drinks (175.00).Conclusions. This result has important implications, especially for athletes or individuals engaged in similar sports activities. Consumption of mineral-containing isotonic drinks may be an effective strategy in supporting the body's recovery after physical exercise, thereby improving overall sports performance.

Abstract

Background and Study Aim. Physical fitness is a crucial component that supports optimal performance in sports, including futsal, which demands a combination of endurance, strength, agility and speed. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of high-intensity circuit training on improving the physical fitness of futsal players.Material and Methods. The research design used a one group pretest-posttest design method, with participants as many as 8 futsal athletes selected using purposive sampling technique. The study was conducted under partly cloudy weather conditions with real-time temperature of 25.3°C, humidity of 94%, and wind speed of 19.4 km/h. This exercise uses 14 fitness equipment, namely triceps, leg press, front pull down, calf raise, butterfly, leg extension, bench press, sit-up, back-up, standing rowing, squat, back pull down, bicep, and leg curl. Exercises were performed in 3 sets per session with maximum repetitions (1 RM) and rest between sets for 4-5 minutes. The program was implemented for 12 sessions, with full intensity 3 times a week. The instrument was carried out using the Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test Level 1. Data analysis was assisted using the SPSS 26 applicationResults. The results showed a significant increase in physical fitness after the treatment was given. The mean pretest and posttest values were statistically different (t = -4.190; p 0.05), with an average improvement of -1.36250. High-intensity circuit training proved to be effective in improving the physical fitness of futsal players, which includes an increase in aerobic capacity and physical strength.Conclusion. This study provides scientific evidence that high-intensity circuit training is an efficient method to improve the physical performance of futsal players. These findings can serve as a reference for coaches in designing relevant and measurable futsal sport needs-based training programs.

Abstract

The study aims to obtain data on the average pulse rate before and after running 5 laps to determine the level of dehydration of a person. The pulse is a form of the heart's ability, which is located in a certain area. The pulse rate can be used as a reference to determine heart rate, rhythm, and heart strength. The method used is to calculate the normal pulse rate, then the sample runs 5 laps of the soccer field, after the test the sample returns to calculate the pulse rate by holding the artery area and counting it for 1 minute while standing and calm. From the research conducted on a sample of 16 active PKO students, there are women and men, from the average data obtained, the results of the pulse rate is higher after running 5 laps, namely 168 times per minute, compared to before running 5 laps, with an average of 102 times per minute.

Abstract

Background and Study Aim. Coaches play a critical role in athlete development, yet coaching education in the Philippines remains fragmented, decentralized, and under-regulated. Despite the growing success of Filipino athletes on the international stage, the absence of a national framework has resulted in inconsistent certification standards, limited access to continuing professional development (CPD), and uneven opportunities for career progression. This study aims to address this gap by proposing a unified National Coaching Education Framework (NCEF) for the Philippines. Material and Methods. The study employed a policy-oriented approach that combined a structured literature review with comparative policy analysis of international models such as Canada"™s National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP), the United Kingdom"™s Coaching Certificate (UKCC), and Singapore"™s Continuing Coach Education (CCE) Program. Thematic analysis was conducted across academic literature, government reports, and institutional documents. Results. Findings reveal four critical issues: (1) fragmentation and lack of standardization in certification, (2) limited access to CPD, (3) inequities in affordability and regional accessibility, and (4) a disconnect between academic preparation and applied coaching practice. Based on these insights, the proposed NCEF introduces a tiered certification system"”community, developmental, and elite/high-performance coaches"”supported by mandatory CPD, ethics, and safeguarding standards. Conclusions. This framework contributes to the professionalization of coaching in the Philippines while aligning with international benchmarks. It also provides practical implications for policymakers and institutions, offering a pathway toward a more equitable, accountable, and sustainable coaching system.

Abstract

This activity aims to improve digital financial literacy in MSMEs in Tapak Gedung Village through training and mentoring programs. This activity is motivated by the low level of digital financial literacy in Indonesia, especially for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The 2022 National Survey on Financial Literacy and Inclusion (SNLIK) conducted by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) shows that financial literacy in Indonesia has only reached 49.68%, while financial inclusion is at 85.10%. This gap indicates that although many people have access to digital financial services, their understanding is still limited, making them vulnerable to illegal investments and online scams. The methods used in this activity include socializing the importance of digital finance, providing hands-on training on using financial applications such as Paper.id and providing ongoing mentoring to support implementation. An evaluation was conducted after the training to measure participants' understanding and application of the knowledge gained. The results showed that participants showed an increased understanding in using digital financial applications, especially in recording transactions, managing cash flow, and real-time financial reporting. In addition, MSME players also began to realize the importance of investing in legal financial institutions registered and supervised by OJK. In conclusion, digital financial literacy training has a positive impact on the financial management skills of MSMEs. With increased knowledge, small business owners can manage their businesses with more confidence, improve competitiveness, and navigate the challenges of the digital economy more effectively.
