Abstract

Visual narrative or visual storytelling can also be understood as telling a story using pictures. Just like the meaning, visual narrative is structured in two stages, namely the narrative stage and the visual stage. At the narrative stage, we must start by compiling a story that has a clear plot or line starting from the opening message or introduction, content or main information and ending with a conclusion or conclusion. This stage may sound cliche, but the stage of composing the story is the most important part in preparation of visual narratives. If the narrative can be completed well in the sense of being able to contain a message and having a narrative structure that is easy to understand, visualization will be easier because it already has a reference. In fact, with a good story, we can choose various visual media that are appropriate to their function. Since the popularity of social media as an alternative medium for information and interaction in the digital world, various public institutions, both government and non-government institutions, have joined the timeline on social media. In contrast to personal or brand accounts, social media accounts belonging to public institutions are more oriented towards disseminating public communication content such as disseminating policies, study results, or social campaigns containing appeals.

Abstract

Pembinaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga (PKK) merupakan Gerakan pembangunan masyarakat yang tumbuh dari bawah, yang pengelolaannya dilakukan dari, oleh, dan untuk masyarakat. Gerakan ini meliputi berbagai pembinaan, bimbingan, pemberdayaan untuk keluarga agar dapat hidup secara mandiri, maju, dan sejahtera. Tujuan dari Gerakan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Sasaran Gerakan PKK ini adalah keluarga di suatu lingkungan pedesaan maupun perkotaan yang perlu untuk dilakukan peningkatan dalam hal pendidikan, pengetahuan, keterampilan, serta membentuk kepribadian yang berlandaskan Pancasila dan Undang-Undang Dasar 1945 (Rudianto & Simanjuntak, 2020) (Posumah & F.L.Damopolii, 2021) Perkembangan zaman dan teknologi saat ini, mengharuskan masyarakat untuk memiliki banyak keterampilan dan kemampuan, saalah satunya adalah kemampuan berkomunikasi dan berbahasa. Kemampuan berbicara, membaca, menulis dan mendengarkan adalah unsur-unsur bahasa yang sangat penting dalam menguasai suatu bahasa (Simanjuntak & Mubarak, 2018).

Abstract

Literacy is the ability to read, write, and understand information in various contexts. Literacy can also be interpreted as the skill of processing information and knowledge for life skills. Literacy is a skill that needs to be trained and not a talent. Literacy has a very broad scope and is needed in everyday life. Types of literacy: Reading and writing literacy, Numeracy literacy, Science literacy, Digital literacy, Financial literacy, Cultural and civic literacy Benefits of literacy: Helping to access knowledge, Understanding lesson materials, Succeeding in the learning process, Cultivating students' character, Forming noble morals until adulthood, Helping to understand the rights and obligations of citizens, Helping to achieve financial well-being, Helping to participate in the environment, the surrounding community, In this modern era, the term "literacy" has become an increasingly important topic, given its crucial role in everyday life. What exactly is literacy? Literacy is a person's ability to read, write, and understand information in various contexts. Literacy skills are not only limited to reading and writing, but also include various other aspects needed to adapt to the development of the times. Literacy in communication can also be seen from literacy in the context of communication, which means the following: Elizabeth Sulzby provides an academic perspective that defines literacy as the language skills possessed by individuals to communicate (reading, speaking, listening, and writing) in different ways according to their goals.

Abstract

Writing is a fundamental skill that is crucial in both academic and everyday life. One strategic writing skill is writing persuasive paragraphs. Persuasive paragraphs require not only the ability to construct well-formed sentences, but also the ability to construct logical, convincing, and relevant arguments. Through persuasive paragraphs, one can convey ideas more effectively, while simultaneously practicing critical thinking skills in developing reasons and supporting evidence. However, many students still struggle to compose good persuasive paragraphs. These challenges typically arise from a lack of writing practice, limited insight into argumentation techniques, and a limited understanding of the logical structure of conveying ideas. As a result, many pieces of writing are purely descriptive without incorporating elements of critical analysis or strong persuasive power. In this fast-paced and competitive digital era, persuasive writing skills are becoming increasingly important. This ability is not only useful in academic contexts, such as writing.
