Abstract

The digital era has introduced new challenges for parents in educating their children, as information technology and social media have a significant influence on children's daily lives. Furthermore, the development of digital technology has had a significant impact on parenting and child-rearing practices. The purpose of this article is to help parents, prospective parents, and educators understand the concept of parenting, with a specific focus on the principles of positive parenting, to address the challenges of parenting in the digital age and ensure that children are shielded from the negative effects of technology. The method used in this study involves a literature review that discusses similar topics under the title. The findings reveal positive principles in parenting that help parents understand appropriate parenting methods for children born in the digital era, thus minimizing the negative impact of technology on children.

Abstract

AbstractThe Guidance and Counseling (BK) profession has a crucial role in helping students develop their potential. This research aims to explore and describe the role played by counselors in supporting students' personal and academic growth. Qualitative research methods were used by conducting in-depth interviews with a number of school counselors. Findings show that the counselor's role includes providing individual and group counseling services, identifying student needs, providing emotional support, and providing career guidance. Apart from that, counselors also act as a liaison between students, parents and schools. The implication of this research is the importance of strengthening the role and support of the guidance and counseling profession in the education system to ensure the holistic development of students' potential.Key word: The role of the guidance and counseling profession in students' professional development

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dampak pengaruh sosial terhadap hubungan dan interaksi antar keluarga dalam konteks masyarakat modern. Pertanyaan penelitian mencakup bagaimana faktor-faktor sosial seperti budaya, teknologi, dan perubahan struktural memengaruhi dinamika keluarga, serta bagaimana keluarga menanggapi pengaruh ini dalam menjalin hubungan interpersonal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan wawancara mendalam dan observasi partisipatif untuk mengumpulkan data. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari keluarga dari berbagai latar belakang sosial, budaya, dan demografis. Data dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola-pola dalam pengaruh sosial terhadap hubungan dan interaksi keluarga. Diharapkan penelitian ini dapat memberikan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang bagaimana faktor-faktor sosial memengaruhi dinamika keluarga, serta menghasilkan rekomendasi untuk membantu keluarga mengelola dampak-dampak ini dalam membangun hubungan yang sehat dan harmonis.

Abstract

This writing uses the literature study method with research from journals and books published between 1986 and 2023 through electronic databases, namely Google Scholar and Google Book. This article focuses on the important role of Guidance and Counseling Teachers (BK) in helping students overcome learning difficulties which is often referred to as learning disability or learning difficulty which refers to a situation where individuals experience difficulties in learning activities. This article aims to provide useful insights for educators especially counseling teachers on how they can improve the learning achievement of students who face learning difficulties so that these students acquire the knowledge and learning skills needed to succeed in the learning process.
