Abstract

Abstract. Reciprocal teaching is a learning approach that implements four independent comprehension strategies namely summaries, preparing questions, clarify and then predict. It can also improve the students achievement in the classroom so it can minimalize student’s error in the topic of statistics. The subject of the research is grade IXF students of SMPN 1 Pakusari. The data collection methods used in this research are test, interview, observation, and documentation.. The result showed that there are decreasing in every error; 9,38% and 3,57% for data used error; 16,96% and 0,89% for used theorem and definition error; 10,71% and 17,41% for technique error and 3,57% and 1,76% for other error. The result also showed that the teaching learning activity using reciprocal teaching got a good responses from the teacher and students, only a few of them had a poor responses. Those good responses were proved by the improvement of studends activity that use all of the body. Beside, there is also an effect on students thought between before and after teaching and learning process. Those all showed that reciprocal teaching can shift the students minimalize the students error in learning esspesially in the topic of statistics Key Words: Reciprocal Teaching, student’s error, statistics

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study is to describe the thinking process of students in solving the problem of high-level thinking in accordance with predetermined indicators. The high-level thinking problem in this study refers to taxonomy bloom ie C4 (analysis), C5 (evaluation), and C6 (creation). Collaborative learning to enhance students' active role in solving high-order thinking problems. The thinking process of students in geometry in this study can be described based on van Hiele's theory. This research is a descriptive research with qualitative approach. Result of research from 23 students through collaborative learning, got 2 students according to van Hiele thinking level. The data obtained are 1 students who are in the process of thinking level 1 (analysis) and 1 student is in the process of thinking level 2 (informal deduction). Abstract

Matematika merupakan mata pelajaran pokok yang ada pada setiap jenjang pendidikan. Mengingat pentingnya matematika, siswa dituntut untuk memahami suatu masalah matematika. Namun kenyataannya, siswa kesulitan dalam memahami suatu masalah matematika. Hal ini tampak dari masih rendahnya hasil belajar siswa (nilai rata-rata kelas di bawah KKM sekolah). Berdasar pada masalah tersebut, maka dalam penelitian ini akan diterapkan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw. Penelitian ini akan dilakukan sendiri oleh peneliti di dalam kelas dalam dua siklus pembelajaran yang setiap siklusnya terdiri dari dua pertemuan. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa hasil belajar siswa dalam tes akhir siklus dan lembar observasi. Data yang terkumpul akan dianalisis setelah pemberian tindakan. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian ini dapat membantu guru dalam memberikan alternative pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Substansi dari etnomatematika erat kaitannya dengan matematika dan budaya. Etnomatematika adalah penerapan konsep matematika berdasarkan budaya sebagai hasil dari kebiasaan masyarakat. Etnomatematika dibutuhkan karena keberadaannya dekat dengan lingkungan sekitar dan dapat memberikan pemahaman pada peserta didik bahwa matematika tidak hanya dijumpai di sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggali etnomatematika pada bangunan utama Pendapa Sabha Swagata Blambangan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian yaitu observer dan dua narasumber. Dua narasumber tersebut adalah sejarawan dan arkeolog Banyuwangi. Dokumentasi dilakukan oleh peneliti sendiri dengan menggunakan kamera perekam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada bagian-bagian bangunan utama Pendapa Sabha Swagata Blambangan Banyuwangi terdapat konsep-konsep matematika yang terdiri dari konsep sudut pada pintu dan jendela, segitiga dan trapesium pada ventilasi, limas segi empat pada atap, kongruen pada fasad dan langit-langit, refleksi dan rotasi pada motif lantai, serta konsep geometri lainnya. The principle of ethnomathematics is related to mathematics and culture. Ethnomathematics is the application of mathematics concepts based on culture due to people's habits. Ethnomatematics is necessary because its existence surrounding the environment might provide students with understanding that mathematics is not only found in schools. This study aimed to explore ethnomathematics in the main building of Pendapa Sabha Swagata Blambangan. This qualitative research used an ethnographic approach. The data collection methods used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The research participants were an observer and two sources. Observations were conducted at Penpada Sabha Swagata Blambangan. The two sources in the interview activities are historians and archaeologists from Banyuwangi. Documentation was carried out by the researcher himself using a camera recorder. The results of the study show that in the main building of Pendapa Sabha Swagata Blambangan, Banyuwangi there are mathematical concepts such as angles in the doors and the windows, triangles and trapezoids in the ventilations, cuboids in the pillars, rectangular pyramids in the roofs, congruence in the facade and ceiling, reflections and rotations in the floor motifs, and other geometric concepts.
