Abstract

Abstract: The flow of educational philosophy known as the progressivism approach wants transformation in the educational process. Learner-centered education is highly recommended by the progressivism approach. In accordance with the principles of 21st century learning which emphasizes student-centered learning and students are given the opportunity to develop their higher-level thinking abilities and skills. For this reason, the aim of this research is to look at the concept of 21st century learning with the opinion or perspective of progressivism. In this study, researchers examined this discussion using literature review or library research. The results of the discussion that 21st century learning requires students and teachers to be able to move forward in accordance with current developments are very much in line with the opinion of progressivism which clearly requires progress in the learning environment and experience. it is no longer just a mere fantasy in the form of ideas and theories. And it is also in accordance with current learning which raises problems in everyday life into a case method in learning which is also seen in this flow of progressivism. Keywords: 21st Century Learning, Progressivism Abstrak: Aliran filsafat pendidikan yang dikenal sebagai pendekatan progresivisme menginginkan transformasi dalam proses pendidikan. Pendidikan berpusat pada peserta didik sangat dianjurkan oleh pendekatan progresivisme. Sesuai dengan prinsip pembelajaran abad 21 yang menekankan pada pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa dan peserta didik di beri kesempatan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan dan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tingginya. Untuk itu tujuan penelitian ini ingin melihat konsep pembelajaran abad 21 dengan pendapat atau perspektif aliran progresivisme. Pada penelitian ini peneliti mengkaji pembahasan ini dengan menggunakan kajian literatur atau penelitian kepustakaan. Hasil pembahasan bahwa pembelajaran abad 21 yang menghendaki peserta didik maupun guru dapat bergerak maju sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman sudah sangat sesuai dengan pendapat progresivisme yang jelas menghendaki suatu kemajuan pada lingkungan dan pengelaman belajar. tidak lagi hanya hayalan belaka yang berupa ide-ide dan teori saja. Dan juga sesuai dengan pembelajaran saat ini yang mengangkat permasalahan dalam kehidupan sehari-hhari menjadi sebuah case methode dalam pembelajaran juga di pandang dalam aliran progresivisme ini. Abstract

Abstract : Ethics and the Challenges of Globalization: A Study of the Adaptation of Traditional Values in a Changing Environment. The aim of this research is to specifically explore the role of teachers and parents in education and the development of character and manners, especially in carrying out their duties to shape students' attitudes and character. In addition, this study aims to formulate policy recommendations to strengthen the implementation of character education at the national level. This research is a literature study research. Globalization has brought significant changes in various aspects of people's lives, including in terms of character. Some of the main challenges faced regarding character in the era of globalization include: Erosion of Traditional Values; Influence of Technology and Social Media; Commercialization. One example taken to see the success of character adaptation in this era of globalization is that globalization provides benefits to students' social and cultural development. We can see a concrete example that is currently going viral on various social media platforms, that the traditional "Kebaya" clothing model has now been modified to include modern values, leaving behind the original model of traditional clothing. This can be our common concern, that the flow of globalization will really threaten culture if we are unable to filter it and adapt it into something positive. Keywords : Characteristics, Globalization, Traditional Values Abstrak : Budi Pekerti dan Tantangan Globalisasi: Studi tentang Adaptasi Nilai Tradisional dalam Lingkungan yang Terus Berubah. Tujuan penelitian ini secara khusus akan mendalami peran guru dan orang tua dalam pendidikan dan perkembangan karakter serta budi pekerti, terutama dalam pelaksanaan tugas mereka membentuk sikap dan karakter siswa. Selain itu, studi ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan rekomendasi kebijakan guna memperkuat implementasi pendidikan karakter di tingkat nasional. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi kepustakaan. Globalisasi telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan masyarakat, termasuk dalam hal budi pekerti. Beberapa tantangan utama yang dihadapi terkait budi pekerti di era globalisasi antara lain: Erosi Nilai Tradisional; Pengaruh Teknologi dan Media Sosial; Komersialisasi. Salah satu contoh yang diambil untuk melihat keberhasilan adaptasi budi pekerti pada era Globalisasi ini yaitu bahwa globalisasi memberikan keuntungan pada  perkembangan sosial dan kultural siswa. Contoh konkret dapat kita lihat yang tengah viral di berbagai platform media sosial bahwa model baju tradisional “Kebaya” saat ini sudah banyak di modifikasi dengan memasukkan nilai-nilai modern sehingga meninggalkan model asli dari pakaian tradisional tersebut. Hal ini dapat menjadi perhatian kita bersama, bahwa arus globalisasi akan sangat mengancam kebudayaan apabila kita tidak mampu memfilterisasi nya dan mengadaptasinya menjadi hal yang positif Kata Kunci : Budi Pekerti, Globalisasi, Nilai Tradisional

Abstract

The phenomenon of radicalism among teenagers in Indonesia is increasingly worrying, so Pancasila education is one solution to prevent the spread of extreme ideology. This study aims to explore how Pancasila education in elementary schools can play a role in building students' character and preventing radicalization. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection through interviews, observations, and literature studies. The results of the study indicate that the application of Pancasila values ??in the elementary school curriculum can foster an attitude of tolerance and social awareness among students. Through interactive learning methods, such as group discussions and educational games, students find it easier to understand and internalize these values ??in their daily lives. In addition, the role of teachers as role models is very important in instilling Pancasila values ??in students. Teachers are expected to be able to create a learning environment that supports the development of positive character. However, challenges remain, especially related to the negative influence of social media that can influence students' thinking. Pancasila education must be taught consistently and innovatively to form a strong young generation in facing radical ideology. In conclusion, Pancasila education is not just a subject, but is the foundation for creating a safe and harmonious society. By instilling the noble values ??of Pancasila from an early age, it is hoped that future generations can grow into tolerant individuals who appreciate diversity.
