Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of Taylor Swift's music on the mood of UIN Antasari Banjarmasin students in working on their thesis. This research uses an experimental method with a true experimental design pretest-posttest control group design. The control group showed a slight increase in mood from pretest to posttest, from pretest and posttest also showed little change, which may indicate variations in mood changes between individuals in this group. On the other hand, the treatment group showed a more significant improvement in mood from pretest to posttest, with an average of. The standard deviation also showed considerable change, suggesting that responses to Taylor Swift's music may vary quite a bit among college students.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini menguji peran inteligensi non-verbal sebagai prediktor kesiapan sekolah anak usia 5–7 tahun. Sebanyak 80 anak diuji secara individual menggunakan Raven’s Coloured Progressive Matrices (RCPM) untuk mengukur tingkat inteligensi non-verbal dan Nijmeegse Schoolbekwaamheids Test (NST) untuk mengukur aspek kesiapan sekolah. Analisis korelasional dan regresi sederhana menunjukkan bahwa Grade IQ yang lebih rendah (menandakan inteligensi non-verbal lebih tinggi (grade IQ bergerak dari I yang paling tinggi ke V yang paling rendah) berkorelasi signifikan dengan skor lebih tinggi pada aspek Mengamati & Membedakan Bentuk (r ≈ −0,44 s.d. −0,48; p < 0,001) dan Motorik Halus (r ≈ −0,26 s.d. −0,30; p < 0,05). Terdapat kecenderungan hubungan negatif Inteligensi non-verbal dengan Konsentrasi dan skor total kesiapan (efek kecil), sementara domain lain (pengertian besar–jumlah–perbandingan, pengamatan tajam/kritis, daya ingat, pemahaman cerita & ingatan, kematangan intelektual) tidak signifikan. Temuan menegaskan bahwa inteligensi non-verbal paling kuat berkaitan dengan kapasitas visual-perseptual dan motorik halus yang mendasari literasi dan numerasi awal, namun tidak memadai sebagai satu-satunya indikator kesiapan sekolah yang bersifat multidimensi. Implikasi praktis dari penelitian ini adalah RCPM relevan sebagai skrining awal untuk domain visual-perseptual/motorik halus, tetapi asesmen kesiapan harus tetap multi-domain.Kata Kunci: Inteligensi non-verbal; kesiapan sekolah; pendidikan anak usia dini

Abstract

Abstract. Aggressive behavior is a common issue among early childhood populations and may negatively affect children’s social, emotional development. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of a token economy intervention in reducing aggressive behavior in young children. A single-case study design was employed, involving a 5-year-old boy as the research participant. Assessment procedures included observations, interviews, document reviews, and psychological testing to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the participant’s behavior. The intervention was administered across 20 sessions and resulted in a noticeable decrease in aggressive behaviors. Continued support and active involvement from the surrounding environment are required to sustain the behavioral improvements achieved. Keywords: Aggresive behavior, token economy, early childhood
