Abstract

College libraries must provide optimal library services, which requires careful planning. The fluctuating number of visitors means that libraries must make preventive efforts to provide excellent service in the future, one of which is forecasting the number of visitors. Forecasting the number of visitors can help libraries prepare for surges in the number of visitors. This research aims to forecast the number of visitors at the Kandaga Library using the ARIMA model as a preventive effort for the Kandaga Library to provide better library services and improve service quality and user satisfaction. This research uses descriptive quantitative methods through the ARIMA forecasting model assisted by SPSS Version 26 software. The best ARIMA model used is the ARIMA model (4,0,12), with a MAPE value of 26.89%. Based on the results of the ARIMA forecasting model (4,0,12), the predicted total number of visitors at the Kandaga Library from October 2024 to October 2025 is 105,742 visitors. Compared with Exper Modeler, which has a MAPE value of 13.10%, the ARIMA model (4,0,12) is no more accurate for forecasting the number of visitors. Therefore, it is essential for further research to compare various forecasting models to obtain the most appropriate and precise model for predicting the number of visitors.

Abstract

There are various ways to measure service quality, including the ServQual Model and the LibQual Model. This study aims to determine the service quality measurement model that is more suitable for the Balai Layanan Perpustakaan DPAD DIY. This study uses a comparative descriptive approach by comparing two research objects, namely the ServQual Model and the LibQual Model. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be seen that there are differences between the ServQual Model and the LibQual Model. All dimensions in the ServQual Model have been covered by the LibQual Model. In addition, the Libqual Model also has dimensions of Library as Place, Personal Control, and Information Access. The difference in dimensions causes differences in measurement indicators in the ServQual Model and the LibQual Model. In addition, there are differences in the results of measuring service quality using the PANRB Regulation No. 14/2017 Model with the LibQual Model. This study is able to contribute as a consideration for the Balai Layanan Perpustakaan DPAD DIY in choosing service quality measurement tools, as an aid in policy formulation and service development, and advancing library science through the provision of study materials.

Abstract

Ensuring that library services strictly comply with national library standards is urgently essential. As a government institution responsible for managing library affairs, the Balaiyanpus DPAD DIY must deliver high-quality and fully standardized public services without compromise. Failure to meet these standards can directly undermine service effectiveness, whereas strong adherence will significantly enhance service performance and boost public satisfaction.. The descriptive and qualitative research method is implemented by systematically collecting data through literature reviews, direct observations, and documentation analysis. National Library Regulation No. 2/2024 serves as the main reference to operationalize a legalistic analysis, which is then compared with the empirical conditions observed in the field. Nine aspects with 18 success indicators are examined through a legalistic analytical approach. The findings urgently demonstrate that the Balaiyanpus DPAD DIY has complied with the national standards for provincial library services as mandated by National Library Regulation No. 2/2024. Given the critical role of standardization in ensuring accountable and high-quality public services, future research should promptly extend this analysis to encompass the full scope of national standards for provincial libraries stipulated in the regulation.
