Abstract

Mangrove ecosystems are important coastal ecosystems that provide a variety of functions. Mangrove ecosystems provide a variety of environmental services including absorbing carbon and contributing to climate change mitigation, protecting coastal areas from storms, tsunamis, and erosion. In addition to providing a variety of environmental services, these ecosystems are also habitats for a variety of living organisms, both aquatic and terrestrial, resident and migrant, also nationally and internationally protected species. The benefits provided by mangrove are contrast to the rate of degradation, which has the potential for loss of wildlife habitat and a decrease in biodiversity value, especially mammals. This study was conducted to analyse the value of biodiversity, especially mammals in the Mangrove Ecotourism Area, Pesawaran Regency. This study uses the method of line transects, mist nets, and sound identification. The results of the study recorded 6 species of mammals with a species diversity value (H') of 1.46, richness of 1.60, evenness of 0.72, and species dominance of 0.30. Mammal species diversity inside the ecotourism area is higher than outside the area. Protected mammals are not found in the area.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the determinants of sustainable social entrepreneurship performance through the influence of local hero leadership, mediated by knowledgeable human resources, network capability, and digital innovation, and moderated by collaborative energy. A quantitative approach was used with purposive sampling method. Data were collected from 202 respondents across 14 MSMEs located in South Sumatra, Lampung, and West Sumatra using a Likert scale. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results show that local hero leadership positively influences the three mediating variables in enhancing sustainable social entrepreneurship performance. However, collaborative energy did not show a significant moderating effect on human resources and network capability, and even had a negative impact on digital innovation. These findings indicate that not all forms of collaboration support innovation. The practical implication is that the significant variables in this study can be used as Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for empowerment programs based on social entrepreneurship and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It also highlights the importance of maintaining the role of local heroes and designing digital strategies that are adaptive to organizational needs.

Abstract

Mangrove are important coastal ecosystems that provide a variety of ecosystem services and ecological functions. These ecosystem services include natural barriers that protect coastal areas from cyclones, tsunamis, and erosion. Habitats for breeding, foraging, and nursery for various species of aquatic and tereterial species. The benefits provided by mangrove are contrast to the rate of degradation. Various parties have a responsibility to contribute to efforts to maintain a sustainable environment. Biodiversity has been globally recognised as one of the determining factors for the sustainability of an ecosystem. The study aims to assess the diversity of herpetofauna species in the Cukunyinyi Mangrove ecotourism area as an instrument of environmental monitoring. The method in this study was the Visual Encounter Survey (VES). The diversity of herpetofauna (H') observed in the area was 1.06 inside the Ecotourism Area and 0.56 outside the ecotourism area. The indices of species richness (Dmg) in each area were 1.24 and 0.72. The two regions have evenly distributed with an evenness value of more than 80%. No species protected under national regulation, two species whose trade was restricted internationally and included in the CITES Appendix II.
