Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out whether the application of the Project-based Learning (PjBL) model can increase creativity in writing Japanese essays in the Sakubun course. The problem to be investigated in this research is related to improving the ability to write essays in Japanese with students' creativity in composing Japanese sentences. The form of research used is an experimental equation with a pretest – post-test design, namely by measuring how much influence one variable has on another variable. To measure the ability to write Japanese essays, this is done through tests, questionnaires and observations. The data analysis technique used in this research is a form of quantitative data analysis which is carried out to analyze data obtained from implementing the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) learning model by carrying out normality tests, homogeneity tests. Next, the results of the two tests are used to test the effectiveness of the learning model applied.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan membangun mental dan soft skill peserta agar siap kerja dan berwirausaha, khususnya dalam menghadapi peluang kerja di Jepang. Melalui seminar motivasi, peserta dibekali keterampilan komunikasi, kepemimpinan, dan manajemen waktu yang esensial di dunia kerja. Mitra kegiatan ini adalah SMKN Jeunieb, Aceh, yang menghadapi permasalahan rendahnya minat dan kepercayaan diri siswa dalam pelajaran Bahasa Jepang. Hal tersebut berdampak pada kurangnya motivasi untuk bekerja di Jepang. Seminar juga memberikan pemahaman tentang budaya kerja di Jepang serta strategi menghadapi pasar kerja global. Kolaborasi antara institusi pendidikan dan dunia industri diharapkan dapat meningkatkan relevansi keterampilan peserta dan daya saing mereka. Hasil yang diharapkan dari kegiatan ini adalah terbukanya peluang kerja di Jepang bagi peserta, serta meningkatnya semangat berwirausaha sebagai alternatif menciptakan lapangan kerja baru. Pengabdian ini menjadi langkah konkret dalam mendukung kesiapan generasi muda menghadapi tantangan global.   Kata Kunci: bahasa Jepang, kesiapan kerja, motivasi, soft skill, wirausaha. Abstract:  This service activity aims to develop participants' mindset and soft skills to prepare them for employment and entrepreneurship, particularly in pursuing job opportunities in Japan. Through a motivational seminar, participants are equipped with essential workplace skills such as communication, leadership, and time management. The partner institution, SMKN Jeunieb in Aceh, faces challenges including students’ low enthusiasm and self-confidence in learning the Japanese language, which impacts their motivation to prepare for careers in Japan. The seminar also provides insights into Japanese work culture and strategies to navigate the global job market. Collaboration between educational institutions and industry is expected to enhance the relevance of participants' competencies and improve their competitiveness. The expected outcomes of this program include increased job opportunities in Japan and a stronger entrepreneurial spirit among participants, enabling them to create new job opportunities. This initiative represents a concrete step in supporting youth readiness to face global challenges. Keywords: entrepreneurship, Japanese language, job readiness, motivation, soft skill.
