Abstract

This research examines of punishment in hell according to Ahmad Musthafa al-Maraghi. Tafsir Maraghi, as one of the contemporer exagesis known for its explicit and in-depth approach to the Quran, provides valuable insights into this theme. This research aims to analyze the concept of hell punishment for its dwellers according to Tafsir Maraghi, focusing on the interpretation of relevant Quranic verses. The analysis results indicate that Tafsir Maraghi emphasizes the consequences of evil deeds in human life and their consequences in the hereafter, namely the punishment of hell. This punishment is severe and inevitable for those who commit sins and do not repent. Tafsir Maraghi also describes various forms of punishment experienced by the dwellers of hell, such as the torment of fire and the torment of boiling water, and emphasizes the importance of avoiding sinful acts and repenting to Allah as an efforts to avoid such punishment. This research is expected to contribute to a deeper understanding of the punishment in hell for its dwellers in Islam, particularly through the perspective of Tafsir Maraghi. The findings of this research are also expected to serve as a useful reference for academics, researchers, and practitioners interested in the conciseness of exegesis and Islamic studies

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas bacaan Al-Qur’an di desa Lengkong Gudang Timur Kecamatan Serpong Tangerang Selatan. Kegiatan warga di desa lengkong melalui optimalisasi pembinaan Tahsin Al-Qur'an. Fokus utama dari kegiatan ini adalah penerapan pembinaan tahsin Al-Qur’an. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan PkM ini adalah metode diskusi, demonstrasi, dan praktik. Metode diskusi digunakan untuk membangun pemahaman konseptual terkait materi pembelajaran Al-Qur’an. Sementara metode demonstrasi berfungsi untuk mencontohkan bacaan Al-Qur'an dengan mengintegrasikan tilawah dan salah satu ragam bacaan Qiraat. Selanjutnya metode praktik memberikan kesempatan kepada warga untuk menerapkan langsung materi yang telah diberikan dengan bimbingan langsung dari tim PkM. Hasil kegiatan PkM ini menunjukkan adanya dampak positif yang terlihat dari beberapa hal yaitu pertama, adanya antusiasme dan berpartisipasi aktif warga selama proses pembinaan. Kedua, para warga juga dapat menunjukkan penerapan makhraj, hukum tajwid dan bentuk tilawah (Naghom) dengan murattal dan mempraktikkan salah satu bacaan Ilmu Qiraat pada surat Al- Fatihah dan An-Nas. Dengan demikian, kegiatan PkM ini memberikan kontribusi positif pada peningkatan kualitas bacaan Al-Qur’an di Desa Lengkong kecamatan Serpong.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of attention and emphasis on character education in schools. This study aims to describe the role and steps, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in developing selfcontrol and empathy in grade 5c students at SDN Duri Kepa 11 Kebon Jeruk Jakarta Barat. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews with Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers, the principal, and students, as well as direct observation and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers play an active role in developing student selfcontrol through discipline, role modeling, and strengthening the value of patience. Supporting factors in this process include a conducive school environment, clear rules, and collaboration with parents. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include time constraints, differences in student character, and a lack of parental involvement. Nevertheless, collaboration between Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers, homeroom teachers, and the school supports the sustainability of student character development.
