Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendiskripsikan peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas III pada mata pelajaran Matematika dan Bahasa Indonesia. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, yang terdiri dari 2 siklus, dan setiap siklusnya terdiri dari 4 tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas III SD Negeri Sambonganyar dengan jumlah keseluruhan 25 siswa. Instrument yang digunakan peneliti berupa lembar observasi, dan tes pemahaman konsep. Peneliti menggunakan jenis pengumpulan data berupa lembar wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil tes dalam penelitian pemahaman konsep pada prasiklus menunjukkan bahwa persentase siswa yang tuntas sebesar 40%, persentase siswa tidak tuntas sebesar 60%, sehingga memperoleh nilai prasiklus sebesar 57.79 dengan kategori perlu bimbingan. Pemahaman konsep pada siklus I, persentase siswa yang tuntas sebesar 48%, dan persentase siswa yang tidak tuntas sebesar 52%, sehingga diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 64.13 dengan kategori perlu bimbingan. Hasil tes pemahaman konsep pada siklus II berhasil mencapai indikator keberhasilan ≥75 dengan persentase siswa yang tuntas sebesar 88.00%, persentase siswa tidak tuntas sebesar 12%, dan memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 81.48 dengan kategori Baik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Role Playing berbantuan media Magic Book dapat meningkatkan pemehaman konsep siswa.

Abstract

One of the low mathematical problem solving abilities of students is the lack of practice in solving non-routine problems. As many as 62% of class V students in filling out the questionnaire stated that when the teacher explained the material with lectures, this made the students' problem-solving abilities poor. The purpose of this research is 1) to analyze the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities. 2) to test the average mathematical problem solving ability of students using the Problem Based Learning learning model to achieve KKM 70 completeness. The results of the paired sample t test obtained a significance value (2-tailed) from this study of 0.001 (p < 0.05). So the results of the initial test (pretest) and final test (posttest) experienced significant (meaningful) changes. Based on the descriptive statistics of the initial test and final test, it is proven that the final test is higher, so H_0 is rejected and H_a is accepted. So, there is a significant average difference before and after implementing the Problem Based Learning learning model. Apart from that, based on the results of the one sample t test, P-Value = 0.026. Because the test carried out is a right-hand test, the P-Value=1/2× sig.(2-tailed)=1/2×0.026=0.013. this value is greater than 1/2∝=0.025. The P-Value is less than 0.025. So H_0 is rejected and H_a is accepted. So, the average mathematical problem solving ability of students using the Problem Based Learning model is more than 70.

Abstract

This research aims to enhance the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD 2 Medini Kudus on the topic of angles through the implementation of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model supported by a concrete learning medium called the Angle Clock (JASU). The study employed a classroom action research design following the Kemmis and Taggart model. The research was conducted in two cycles during the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, involving 27 students as research participants. Each cycle included four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection was carried out using learning outcome tests and observations conducted by appointed observers. The findings revealed an improvement in students' mastery, with classical completeness rising from 55% in the first cycle to 81% in the second, accompanied by an increase in the average score from 69 to 83. These results demonstrate that the integration of the STAD learning model and JASU media positively contributes to students’ understanding of angle material. Thus, this approach is recommended as an effective alternative for teaching mathematics in elementary education.
