Abstract

Adherence with antipsychotic treatment is very important to achieve optimal therapeutic results to the people with schizophrenia. The aim of the study is to determine the factors associated with medication adherence in patients with stable phase of paranoid schizophrenia at the Outpatient Polyclinic of the Regional Hospital of Lampung Province in 2022. This study used a crosssectional method with prospective data collection, a sample of 176 and the use of purposive sampling for the sampling technique. The data obtained were analyzed by using the chi square test to find out the relation between the dependent variable which is medication adherence, and the independent variables, namely perceptions of family support, knowledge related to disease, perceptions of drug side effects, and the perceptions of the pharmacist's role. To find out the dominant factors influencing the medicine compliance, the data were analyzed by using ordinal logistic regression. The study obtained of medicine compliance rates in paranoid schizophrenia patients based on the MMAS scale were good in 53 (30.1%), moderate in 62 (35.2%) and poor in 61 (34.7%). There is a relationship between medication adherence and the perception of family support (p value 0.038), knowledge related to disease (p value 0.005), perception of drug side effects (p value 0.003), and perception of the role of pharmacist (p value 0.000). The dominant factor affecting compliance to taking medication is the perception of the pharmacist's role with OR = 2.8, which means patients who get a good pharmacist role are more compliant in taking medication by 2.8 times. Abstract

Staphylococcus aureus bacteria are bacteria that can cause infections. Prevention can be done by cleaning the body with soap. Soap is a skin cleansing preparation made from a saponification process between oil and organic or inorganic bases. Pineapple and durian peel contain active antibacterial compounds, namely alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and tannins. This study aims to determine the antibacterial activity of solid soap combined with pineapple peel and durian peel extracts against Staphylococcus aureus. The research method used was a laboratory experimental method with a solid soap formulation combining pineapple peel and durian peel extracts. Solid soap formulations are tested for bacteria using the hole/well method. The formulations used are F0 (soap base), F1 (0 pineapple peel extract and 4% durian peel), F2 (1% pineapple peel extract and 3% durian peel), F3 (2% pineapple peel extract and 2% durian peel), F4 (pineapple peel 3%, durian peel 1%), F5 (pineapple peel extract 4% and durian peel 0%), and a positive control (solid antibacterial bath soap brand x). A solid soap preparation has been made and has fulfilled the requirements for evaluating the quality of soap preparations, including organoleptic tests, homogeneity tests, pH tests, foam height tests, and stability tests. The results of tests on bacteria showed that the F0 inhibition zone was nonexistent, F1 was 9.72 mm, F2 was 11.31 mm, F3 was 11.73 mm, F4 was 12.15 mm, F5 was 10.34 mm, and the positive control was 14.18 mm. The conclusion of this study was that the best formulation with the largest zone of inhibition was at F3 of 13.73 mm with a strong inhibitory response to Staphylococcus aureus. Abstract

The high mortality rate in breast cancer and with the most malignancy attacking women, therapy is needed in the treatment of breast cancer by chemotherapy. Chemotherapy works by killing rapidly dividing cancer cells. However, due to its non-selective nature, chemotherapy also affects healthy cells and causes side effects that affect the patient's quality of life. This study aims to determine the side effects of chemotherapy in breast cancer patients at Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek Hospital, Lampung Province in 2023. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive observational study with a cross-sectional design and accidental sampling data collection techniques. Data analysis was done descriptively in the form of a percentage. The sample in this study was 41 patients. The results of the study based on the characteristics of female gender were 41 patients (100%) and male patients were 0 patients (0%), the age of the diagnosed patients was in the age range of 36-45 years as many as 13 patients (31.7%), 46-55 years as many as 13 patients (31.7%), and 56-65 years as many as 13 patients (13.7%), based on the patient's occupation with the occupation of a housewife (IRT) as many as 24 patients (58.5%), treatment with the TdCar regimen (Taxane (docetaxel), Carboplatin) as many as 13 patients (26.9%) and the AC regimen (Doxorubicin, Cyclophosphamide) as many as 11 patients (21.2%). The conclusion of this study is the side effects using the Naranjo algorithm, the score obtained is between 1-4 (possible) which means that there may be an ADR. The most common side effects suffered by breast cancer chemotherapy patients at Dr. Soetomo Hospital. H. Abdul Moeloek Lampung Province in 2023 was hair loss (87.8%).
