Abstract

This study explores the dynamics of public interaction with issues of Islamic law and politics within the social, cultural, and political context of Indonesia. These interaction patterns are deeply rooted in the historical trajectory of Islamic politics and the role of religion as a value system that shapes public behavior and political decision-making. The relationship between Islamic law and politics reflects a dynamic interplay influenced by various factors, including historical and cultural backgrounds, economic conditions, religious interpretations, education, media, and global as well as social transformations. In practice, Islamic law functions both as a source of moral and ethical guidance and, at times, as a political tool that can generate tension within Indonesia’s multicultural society. Islam’s core principles—such as justice, deliberation (musyawarah), human rights protection, and fair leadership—encourage active civic engagement in legal and political affairs. Moreover, religion plays a pivotal role in shaping group identities and social relations, especially in the context of ongoing social change. The perspectives of scholars such as Al-Ghazali and Muhammad Abduh illustrate varied approaches to the relationship between religion and the state, ranging from integrative to secularist views. This study highlights the critical need for dialogue, inclusivity, and contextual approaches in understanding and implementing Islamic law and politics in Indonesia, in order to foster a just and civilized sociopolitical order that aligns Islamic values with modernity and societal diversity.

Abstract

This research aims to see the relationship between students' critical thinking in the Think Pair Share (TPS), Think Pair Square (TPSq) Learning Models, and Conventional Learning through Lectures on Islamic Cultural History (SKI) material based on their school of origin. This research was carried out at SMPN 1 Cisarua, MTs Al-Hikmah Pasirhalang, and the Roudlotul 'Ulum Islamic Boarding School in West Bandung with quantitative research. The research instruments in this study used questionnaires and tests. The test for data analysis requirements used was Two Ways ANOVA with a data normality test using Kolmogorov-Smirnov with the help of SPSS version 26 software. In this study it was found that there was no difference in students' critical thinking abilities towards the TPS, TPSq, and conventional learning models, there was a difference in abilities. Students' Critical Thinking regarding the Origin of Middle Schools, MTs, and Islamic Boarding Schools, and the interaction between Learning Models and School Origin in determining Students' Critical Thinking Ability. Apart from that, there are differences in the critical thinking abilities of students who go to junior high schools and MTs, there are no differences in the critical thinking abilities of students who go to junior high schools and Islamic boarding schools. The significance value of MTs vs Islamic Boarding Schools is 0.038, and the difference in critical thinking abilities of students who go to MTs and Islamic Boarding Schools.

Abstract

This research aims to see the differences and interactions that occur in students' mathematics learning outcomes based on the application of learning models that are reviewed based on the student's gender. This research used a quantitative research approach carried out at SDN Pasirbanteng, MI Ar-Ridhwan, MIS Pasirpogor I, MI Sukarasa, and SDN Saapan with a sample of 41 students at SDN Pasirbanteng, 33 students at MI Ar-Ridhwan, 20 students at MIS Pasirpogor I, 24 students at MI Sukarasa, and 30 students at SDN Saapan with a total of 148 students in class IV. The learning models applied at SDN Pasirbanteng, MI Ar-Ridhwan, MIS Pasirpogor I, MI Sukarasa, and SDN Saapan are Contextual, Cooperative, Project Based Learning (PjBL), Problem-Based Learning (PBL), and Inquiry. The method in this research uses the survey method and the Analysis of Variance test. This research instrument uses a test to test the data analysis requirements used, consisting of a normality test using Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk with the help of SPSS version 26 software. However, if the data normality assumption is not met, a Non-Parametric Test, namely the Median Test, is carried out. In this research, it was found that there were differences between the learning models used in mathematics learning, but this did not occur when viewed based on the gender of the students. An interaction between the learning model and student gender was also not found. The contextual learning model with PjBL, PBL, Inquiry and the cooperative learning model with PjBL, PBL, and Inquiry each have significant differences. However, there is no difference between contextual and cooperative learning models, PjBL and PBL, PjBL with inquiry, and PBL with inquiry.

Abstract

This research aims to see whether or not there is an influence on contextual learning for the students at the Roudlotul Ulum Islamic boarding school who inherently received their academic education at the school at the Islamic boarding school. This research was carried out at Roudlotul 'Ulum Middle School using a quantitative approach. This research method uses a survey method with correlation analysis to see the relationship between the independent variables, namely student motivation, and the dependent variable, namely student learning outcomes using the Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) learning model. The population of this research was class VIII students at Roudlotul 'Ulum Middle School with a sample of 30 students. The specifications for data analysis requirements used consist of normality tests and linearity tests with the hypotheses used, namely correlation and regression tests assisted by SPSS version 26. In this research, it was found that student learning motivation and student learning outcomes used the Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) learning model with distributed data. normal and correlates with strong coefficient strength with a Correlation Coefficient value of 0.843 and the interaction between learning motivation and learning outcomes is 80.9% and the other 19.1% is influenced by external factors. Because the data is normally distributed, it is continued with a regression test which produces data that meets the linearity criteria with the regression equation being Y=31.642+0.587X.
