Abstract

This research aims to explore the effectiveness of group counseling with a client-centered approach in helping students who are victims of bullying at SMK Negeri 50 Jakarta. The qualitative method with a narrative approach involved 32 class X students as a population, selected purposively from those who experienced bullying. The results of the research show that client-centered group counseling is able to provide a positive effect in handling victims of bullying in students at SMKN 50 Jakarta, students who are victims of bullying can manage their emotions in a supportive environment and feel understood and appreciated. Client-centered counseling groups emphasize the importance of empathy, unconditional acceptance, and authenticity in building an effective therapeutic relationship.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the subjective experience of loneliness in early adult Gen Z college students through group counseling with a humanistic approach. Using a qualitative phenomenological method, six female participants aged 20–22 years participated in four group counseling sessions. Data collection was conducted through an initial questionnaire to identify participants' levels of loneliness, followed by in-depth interviews after the counseling session to explore the meaning of their experiences more comprehensively. The results showed that loneliness was associated with a lack of emotional connection, unsupportive family relationships, and shallow social interactions through social media. Group counseling proved to be a safe space to share emotions and build self-awareness, helping participants manage loneliness more healthily.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan panduan praktis dalam menyusun jadwal harian yang efektif sebagai bagian dari manajemen waktu bagi siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa pelatihan pembuatan jadwal harian, observasi, serta wawancara singkat untuk mengevaluasi pemahaman dan dampak penerapan jadwal tersebut pada siswa. Metode yang diterapkan meliputi pemaparan materi mengenai manajemen waktu, praktik langsung penyusunan jadwal harian, serta diskusi kelompok untuk refleksi dan evaluasi hasil. Hasil yang dicapai menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang mengikuti program ini mampu membuat jadwal harian dengan baik, menjadi lebih terorganisir, meningkatkan fokus belajar, serta menunjukkan peningkatan disiplin dan tanggung jawab terhadap aktivitas sehari-hari. Selain itu, siswa melaporkan adanya peningkatan produktivitas, penurunan tingkat stres, dan kemampuan mengatur waktu antara belajar dan aktivitas lainnya secara lebih seimbang. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa penyusunan jadwal harian yang efektif, dengan dukungan pelatihan dan bimbingan, berperan penting dalam membentuk karakter dan kebiasaan manajemen waktu yang baik sejak dini.

Abstract

Mental health is an important part of human well-being, both physically and psychologically. Not only the ability to solve problems, but also the ability to deal with stress that arises in oneself. In this modern era, teenagers aged 10-19 years have stress levels reaching 6.2%, which if not handled properly can cause depression and even self-harm or suicidal behavior (Suhartini et al., 2022). The research was conducted at SMKN 50 Jakarta with a qualitative approach. Purposive sampling technique was used for sample selection. The sources were chosen subjectively by the researcher, from four sources, two of whom showed symptoms of self-harm, such as cutting their hands with sharp objects, hitting walls, and slapping their cheeks until they bruised. The research results show that self-harm is triggered by less harmonious family conditions, which encourage unnatural behavior. REBT is the right choice for self-harm. With this approach, it is hoped that students can change the way they think and manage their emotions better.
