Abstract

This research aims to find out the views of the public regarding the issue of the implementation of free 12-year tuition fees (Sumbangan Pembinaan Pendidikan) from elementary, junior high, to high school levels in the Riau Islands. The sources of this research were obtained from students and university students located in Tanjungpinang. This type of research uses a qualitative approach. This research uses primary data. Primary data used in this study were obtained directly through distributing questionnaires to respondents. This study involved 32 people, including students and students in Tanjungpinang City. One of the factors that cause a weak educational foundation is the low level of income and the large population in Indonesia. Analyzing the quality of education is very important before schools receive assistance or mentoring, and this issue is not only related to money. It was found that communication between policymakers and implementers can change how programs are run.

Abstract

One important step in planning an emergency simulation is to establish a muster point. During an emergency, a muster point is where people gather to maintain safety and avoid confusion. Establishing a muster point means choosing a strategic location, putting up clear identifying signs, and providing information to people who live there and people who come there. A muster point can reduce losses in an emergency situation. Muster point also educate people on the importance of evacuation and local safety. Therefore, planning and implementing activities to establish muster points is a good step to improve emergency preparedness and responsibility.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and determine the influence of Emotional Intelligence on Employee Performance Mediated by Professionalism at the Jambi City Population and Civil Registration Office. The analytical method of analysis used is quantitative analysis. The population and research sample were all employees at the Jambi City Population and Civil Registration Office, totaling 88 respondents. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires using a Likert scale. The statistical analysis used is the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique with Partial Least Square (PLS) as an analytical tool, using the SmartPLS 4 program. The results of statistical analysis show that emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on professionalism, professionalism has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and emotional intelligence through professionalism as a mediating variable has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. So it can be concluded that professionalism functions as a link between emotional intelligence and employee performance. If employees have good emotional intelligence, then employees can manage their potential optimally so that they will produce good performance so that the stated organizational goals will be achieved.
