Abstract

Given Indonesia's vulnerability to a diverse range of natural and man-made catastrophes, it is crucial to have a well-executed disaster management system in place. The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), as the agency responsible for disaster relief in Indonesia, emphasizes the importance of this matter. This study examines the enhancement of disaster logistics, specifically focusing on the difficulties related to the fast movement of humanitarian aid supplies. The main challenge in disaster logistics is the uncertainty of demand following the occurrence of the disaster, together with the possibility of supply disruptions caused by insufficient inventory in warehouses. This research places significant emphasis on expedited delivery of humanitarian aid supplies, which are crucial for prompt relief operations, especially in situations with limited preparation time. The main aim of the study is to create a safety stock level policy for BNPB's national warehouse, which will be determined by analyzing forecasts of demand and lead times. The research findings for the year 2022 indicate a low percentage of errors in demand predictions. This result emphasizes the efficacy of the safety stock strategy in actively dealing with sudden increases in demand and reducing uncertainty associated with supply schedules.

Abstract

In maintaining the condition of the machine so that it does not experience damage or at least to reduce the type of damage, a good and appropriate machine maintenance system is needed so that the results can increase the effectiveness of the machine and reduce losses resulting from engine damage. Reliability and availability greatly affect the performance of a system and equipment used, the operating process, and the expertise of the operator in running the machine. Maintenance or maintenance is often associated as the root of reliability, therefore, there is a need for a good maintenance strategy to increase the reliability of a production system. At PT. XYZ factors that affect production bottlenecks are system or equipment failures and scheduling that is not in accordance with the planned production time and downtime that occurs can affect many things including cost, time, reliability guarantees and others. This research involves the use of mathematical methods through reliability analysis and analysis of potential and impact failures, with the aim of optimizing corrective and preventive handling to minimize repair costs and reduce unnecessary costs.

Abstract

The research on increasing productivity using the Objective Matrix (OMAX) and the 5-Whys problem-solving method in a manufacturing company that produces coil steel can be applied in the steel industry with a competitive advantage. The OMAX method is used to measure productivity and determine the appropriate productivity criteria for the existence of a particular department. The 5-Whys problem-solving method is used to detect factors that affect productivity and identify solutions to overcome them. The research can be conducted by collecting data on productivity levels, productivity criteria, and factors that affect productivity. This data can be obtained through systematic measurement and analysis. The results of the research can be used to identify factors that affect productivity, measure productivity levels, and identify solutions to overcome them. The research can be beneficial for a manufacturing company that produces coil steel in developing strategies to increase productivity.

Abstract

Resilience in the face of delays in the distribution of humanitarian logistics is a crucial aspect in post-disaster response. This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the resilience of disaster victims in the context of logistics delays using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. This research model adopts three main constructs, namely Sense of Mastery (SoM), Sense of Relatedness (SoR), and Emotional Reactivity (ER), which are assumed to contribute to individual resilience (RES). Data was collected through a questionnaire-based survey of individuals who had experienced delays in the distribution of humanitarian aid. The results of the analysis show that SoM and SoR have a significant positive influence on resilience. In contrast, ER has a negative relationship with RES, which means that the higher a person's level of emotional reactivity, the lower their level of resilience in the face of delays in help. In the initial model, there are several indicators showing low outer loading values so they are excluded from the final model, because they do not contribute significantly to other variables. After refining the model, the reliability results show that the remaining constructs have good validity and reliability values. Strong R-square values for all endogenous variables (SoM = 0.962, SoR = 0.894, ER = 0.981, RES = 0.944) confirm that the model has high predictive ability in explaining resilience in the context of delays in the distribution of human logistics. The results of this study can be the basis for policymakers and stakeholders in developing a more optimal aid distribution system, as well as mitigation strategies that can increase the resilience of disaster victims in facing future logistical challenges.

Abstract

Computer work carried out for long periods of time can increase the risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSD) in workers. Working posture is important to increase work productivity among workers. Unergonomic posture is one of the main factors causing MSD. This research aims to analyze risks to computer workers using the Rapid Office Strain Assessment (ROSA) method and provide recommendations for improvements to improve work compatibility. The Rapid Office Strain Assessment (ROSA) method is used to determine the risk value of work activities that use computers and sitting posture. The research results obtained showed that office employees were categorized as requiring further assessment and required follow-up action. Office employees have risky working postures and experience muscle complaints. Based on these results, there are several recommendations such as engineering controls and administrative controls.
