Abstract

Background: Child growth and development are important aspects in shaping a high-quality future generation. On the other hand, infant massage has been proven to have significant benefits in accelerating children's physical and mental development. However, access to infant massage services is not yet evenly distributed, especially in rural areas Method: Implementation: Education and training for health workers, volunteers/cadres, and parents on infant massage techniques and the importance of early childhood stimulation. Establishment of infant massage service centres in each region by involving various parties such as community health centres, integrated health service posts, and non-governmental organisations. Development of educational and promotional materials to raise public awareness of the importance of infant massage in child development. Regular monitoring and evaluation of the programme's impact on child growth and development and community participation. Result: Trained cadres demonstrated improved knowledge and skills in performing infant massage. Cadres were also able to socialise the benefits of massage to the community. Children who received infant massage intervention showed an increase in appetite and improved nutritional status.
