Abstract

Abstract

Anemia is a health problem that can occur in all age groups, from toddlers to old age. Anemia in pregnant women can increase the risk of premature birth, maternal and child death, and infectious diseases. Iron deficiency anemia in the mother can affect the growth and development of the fetus/baby during pregnancy and afterward. The 2018 Riskesdas results stated that in Indonesia 48.9% of pregnant women experienced anemia. As many as 84.6% of anemia in pregnant women occurs in the 15-24 year age group. Hemoglobin examination and education are one of the preventive measures for disease in order to increase public awareness about the condition of their respective bodies in order to create a Healthy Living Community Movement (GERMAS). This service activity was carried out on Sunday, May 7 2023, located in the Siring area, Banjarmasin City, which was attended by 43 participants. The activity stages began with group healthy exercise, registration, blood pressure and hemoglobin checks, consultation and distribution of snacks (mung bean porridge) and multivitamins. People who take part in this activity gain additional knowledge and are motivated to routinely check their health condition at the nearest health agency. Apart from that, providing multivitamins also increases people's nutritional intake to improve their health status.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease caused by the dengue virus. The virus is transmitted through the bite of female mosquitoes, especially Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus species infected with human blood in the viremia stage. The exact diagnosis of DHF is established based on serological examinations, one of which is IgM and IgG examinations. This examination is needed to distinguish fever caused by dengue virus or fever by other causes and this study was to determine the picture of serological examination of Igm and IgG in patients in patiens with Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever at dr. H. Moch Ansari Saleh Regional General Hospital Banjarmasin. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research. The samples used were secondary data from hospitalized DHF patients in 2021-2023 who performed IgM and IgG serological examinations totaling 95 patients. Of the 95 patients, 8 patients (9%) were IgM+ and IgG-, 60 patients (63%) were IgM- and IgG+, 6 patients (6%) were IgM+ and IgG+, 21 patients (22%) were IgM- and IgG-. With this, the results show that the IgM and IgG images in DHF patients are mostly obtained with IgM- and IgG+ serologic test results which are secondary dengue infections.

Abstract

Acute appendicitis is inflammation appendix which can cause leukocytosis. Leukocytosis is a condition of increasing the number of leukocytes in the body. Leukocytosis occurs due to a non-specific immune response to inflammation that occurs. This study aims to determine the description of the number of blood leukocytes in acute appendicitis patients based on age and complications findings at RSUD Dr. H. Moch. Ansari Saleh Banjarmasin in 2023. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research with a cross sectional design. The sampling technique used a total sampling technique and obtained 35 samples. The results showed that 85.9% of acute appendicitis patients had leukocytosis, 11.4% had normal leukocyte counts and 2.9% had leukopenia. Based on age group, non-productive age patients were found to have 11,4% leukocytosis results. Meanwhile, in productive age, leukocytosis results were found to be 74,3%. Based on the type of appendicitis, patients with simple appendicitis were found to have a leukocytosis rate of 25,7%, while patients with complicated appendicitis were found to have a leukocytosis rate of 60%. So it can be concluded that there is an increase in the number of blood leukocytes in acute appendicitis patients based on age and findings of complications.

Abstract

Based on the results of the 2022 Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI), the prevalence of stunting in South Kalimantan is 30% above the national figure, namely 24.4%. One of the factors causing stunting is infectious diseases such as diarrhea, worms, and tuberculosis. These infectious diseases are closely related to healthy lifestyles which are reflected in Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) in the Household. Factors that influence the implementation of PHBS include age, education, employment and mother's knowledge, so it is necessary to study the relationship between these factors in order to create a healthy lifestyle in the family environment. This research uses an analytical survey method with a cross sectional design. The population of this study was mothers who had stunted toddlers in 34 villages in Balangan Regency, totaling 379 respondents. The sampling technique uses total sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire on the mother's identity and knowledge about PHBS. Data analysis used the chi-square test. The results of the study showed that the majority of stunting mothers of toddlers were in the age range 20 - 40 years, namely 328 respondents (85.5%), the highest level of education was secondary education at 222 respondents (58.6%), the majority of respondents did not work as many as 258 respondents (68.1%) and the level of knowledge of respondents about PHBS mostly had knowledge in the good category, namely 255 respondents (67.3%). Conclusion of this study there is a relationship between mother's occupation and mother's knowledge.
