Abstract

Tuberkulosis adalah penyakit menular langsung yang disebabkan oleh bakteri Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Pengobatan TBC bertujuan untuk menyembuhkan pasien, mencegah kematian, mencegah kekambuhan, memutuskan rantai penularan dan mencegah terjadinya resistensi bakteri terhadap Obat Anti Tuberkulosis. Tuberkulosis dapat menyebabkan peningkatan limfosit. Limfositosis pada TB paru terjadi karena adanya aktivasi sel limfosit yang berperan dalam imunitas selular terhadap Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran dan persentase sel limfosit penderita TBC yang menjalani pengobatan di Puskesmas Kelayan Timur. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode pemeriksaan diffcount. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dari 26 sampel didapatkan limfosit <20% (4%), 20-40% (65%), dan >40% (31%). Berdasarkan penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa didapatkan hasil normal pada jumlah limfosit setelah mengkonsummsi Obat Anti Tuberkulosis setelah 6 bulan pengobatan.

Abstract

Clinical Laboratory is a health laboratory that carries out clinical specimen examination to obtain information about individual health, especially to support diagnose disease, and restore health, therefore quality control (QC) must be applied, especially in utilization of POCT tools. This research approach uses a qualitative approach with data collection methods through interviews, observation and documentation. The object of this research was the Cempaka Public Health Center based on recommendations and permits from the Banjarmasin City Health Office with the research respondents being the Head of the Clinical Laboratory, the Laboratory Quality Assurance Team and the Laboratory Assistant. The variable of this research was the implementation of QC using the POCT tools tool at the pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytic stages. Based on the results of interviews, observations and documentation, data was obtained that the Head of the Puskesmas formed an Internal Audit Team to carry out monitoring and evaluation every 6 months, but the last activity was carried out in 2019. Aspects audited in Monitoring Evaluation Indicators of the clinical is about SOP (Standard Operational Procedure) for the implementation of examinations in the laboratory using the FMEA (Failure, Mode, Effect Analysis) method. The implementation of Quality Control in the pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytic stages is in accordance with the applicable policies and SOPs. Monitoring and Evaluation of Clinical Quality Indicators should be carried out regularly and continuously so that the results of the examination obtained are guaranteed quality and can be used for determining the right diagnosis.

Abstract

Sarkopenia merupakan kondisi penurunan massa dan kekuatan otot pada lansia yang berdampak langsung terhadap perubahan metabolisme seluler. Salah satu strategi yang tepat untuk menanggulagi hal tersebut adalah dengan Latihan resistensi. Namun, para lansia kesulitan dalam melakuan latihan resistensi, sehingga diperlukan modifikasi yang di formulasikan secara khusus agar latihan resistensi mudah dilakukan oleh lansia. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penulis ingin mengetahui pengaruh modifikasi latihan resistensi terhadap peningkatan massa dan kekuatan otot yang akan menurunkan kejadian sarkopenia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment with pre and post test group design pada komunitas lansia Agape Strong Fitness Banjarmasin selama 4 minggu, sebelum dan sesudah latihan responden diukur kekuatan otot tangan mengunakan handgrip dynamometer dan kekuatan otot kaki menggunakan leg dynamometer, sedangkan massa otot menggunakan Body Analyzer. Setelah dilakukan penelitian dan dilakukan uji statistik didapatkan hasil (p<0.05). Dengan demikian terdapat pengaruh latihan resistensi terhadap penguatan otot genggaman tangan, otot tungkai dan massa otot lansia yang mengalami sarkopenia.

Abstract

Penyakit demam berdarah Dengue (DBD) merupakan salah satu penyakit menular yang menjadi permasalahan di seluruh dunia. Demam berdarah dengue dijangkitkan oleh vektor nyamuk Aedes aegyptii. Kasus DBD di Kalimantan Selatan tahun 2023 ini, khususnya di Kota Banjarmasin sebanyak 47 kasus. Kasus DBD pada tahun 2023 terdapat 36 kasus penderita DBD di wilayah Kelurahan Pemurus Baru. Data tersebut didapatkan dari Puskesmas Pemurus Baru. Sehingga perlu adanya Pemberdayaan Kader Jumantik dan Masyarakat dalam Pencegahan DBD Melalui Edukasi, Survei Entomologis Serta Pelatihan Pembuatan Ovitrap di Kelurahan Pemurus Baru. Kegiatan penyuluhan kesehatan (edukasi) dan demonstrasi pembuatan pembuatan ovitrap sederhana dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Pemurus Baru dan dihadiri oleh 12 orang peserta, yaitu kader jumantik serta warga RT 26 Kelurahan Pemurus Baru yang terdampak DBD. Tingkat pengetahuan, perilaku masyarakat dalam pencegahan DBD serta pemahaman dalam pembuatan ovitrap diukur melalui pre test dan post test. Terjadi peningkatan perilaku masyarakat dari 67% menjadi 75% dalam pencegahan penyakit DBD serta pemahaman masyarakat dalam pembuatan ovitrap setelah diberikan materi dan simulasi secara langsung, Kemudian pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pencegahan penyakit DBD masuk dalam kategori baik dan terjadi peningkatan dari 42% menjadi 100%. Berdasarkan hasil uji McNemar menunjukkan nilai Sig (2-tailed) = 0,016 taraf signifikansi = 0,05, maka H0 ditolak atau H1 diterima. Sehingga daapt disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah diberikan edukasi. Diharapkan kegiatan ini bisa dilaksanakan secara rutin setiap tahun sebagai upaya pencegahan DBD di Kota Banjarmasin.

Abstract

Intestinal nematodes that often infect humans was soil transmitted helminth (STH) worms. This infection could have diagnosed by microscopic examination used an eosin 2% stained. Red dragon fruit was one typed of fruit that could used as a substitute for eosin 2%, especially for red dragon fruit skin, which was a wasted that is often founded in the surrounded environment. The purpose of this studied was to determine the effectiveness of red dragon fruit peeled as a substitute for eosin 2% for stained positive stools with STH worm eggs. This researched is an experimental studied with a completely randomized design (CRD) used a static group comparison pattern design with 24 experimental units. Red dragon fruit skin extract mixed with distilled watered at different concentrations, namely 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4, and 1:5, and compared with eosin 2% as a controlled. Inspection of STH is examined using native or direct methods. The results of the study based on the Kruskal–Wallis tested founded differences in the quality of staining at concentrations of 1:2, 1:3, 1:4, and 1:5, with eosin 2% as a controlled, while at a 1:1 concentration there was no significant difference with eosin 2% as a control. Based on these results, it can be concluded that red dragon fruit peeled extract is effective as an alternative dye for examined STH worm eggs at a concentration of 1:1, but the red dragon fruit peel extract dye did not produced a contrasting color liked eosin 2%.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) in Indonesia remains a major health problem and has shown fluctuating incidence rates over the past 10 years. This study aims to determined the entomological index of Aedes spp mosquito vectors in the DHF endemic area of Sungai Andai Village, North Banjarmasin District, Banjarmasin City. The study was conducted from May to June 2021 using a cross-sectional method. The research location was in the DHF endemic area of Sungai Andai Village. The survey was conducted using the single larvae method and the eggs were collected by ovitraps. Entomological data were analyzed descriptively. Based on the Maya index, 87.14% of houses were categorized as low risk and 12.86% as medium risk for mosquito breeding sites. Sungai Andai Village had a Larva-Free Rate of 81.43%; House Index of 18.57%; Container Index of 2.38%; Breteau Index of 21.43%; Pupae Index of 4.29%; Density Figure of 4; and Ovitrap Index level of 1-2. Sungai Andai Village is at medium risk as a breeding site for Aedes spp, thus necessitating efforts for the prevention and control of DHF transmission.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease caused by the dengue virus. The virus is transmitted through the bite of female mosquitoes, especially Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus species infected with human blood in the viremia stage. The exact diagnosis of DHF is established based on serological examinations, one of which is IgM and IgG examinations. This examination is needed to distinguish fever caused by dengue virus or fever by other causes and this study was to determine the picture of serological examination of Igm and IgG in patients in patiens with Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever at dr. H. Moch Ansari Saleh Regional General Hospital Banjarmasin. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research. The samples used were secondary data from hospitalized DHF patients in 2021-2023 who performed IgM and IgG serological examinations totaling 95 patients. Of the 95 patients, 8 patients (9%) were IgM+ and IgG-, 60 patients (63%) were IgM- and IgG+, 6 patients (6%) were IgM+ and IgG+, 21 patients (22%) were IgM- and IgG-. With this, the results show that the IgM and IgG images in DHF patients are mostly obtained with IgM- and IgG+ serologic test results which are secondary dengue infections.
