Abstract

This research aims to analyse the needs for developing digital learning media in Social Sciences learning in junior high schools in Singaraja City. This study used qualitative research methods. The process of developing learning media must be carried out by testing construct validity and empirical validity. Material experts, media experts and language experts will carry out validity testing. The results of the analysis of social science education material experts assessed the validity score of the material to be 93, or the criteria "Very Valid". Likewise, the graphic design value is 90 or the "Very Valid" criteria. Meanwhile, the level of grammatical validity is 88 or the criteria "Very Valid". Based on the results obtained through expert testing in the media, material and language aspects, it can be concluded that the developed digital learning media is declared very valid, so it is suitable for use in the social science education learning process. The practicality test of digital learning media was assessed by two social science education groups and 24 students participating in social science education learning. The average score given by social science education teachers was 87.69, or Very Good criteria. Meanwhile, the practicality test assessment is based on assessing students taking social science education subjects with a score of = 79.48 or good criteria. These results show that the digital such as media developed can be used sustainably. This is because teachers and students assess that this digital learning media aligns with the needs of teachers and students.

Abstract

Having highly motivated teachers is vital for effective teaching in foreign language classroom. Nevertheless, burnout may impair teachers' performance and negatively impact how they engage with students. The current study aimed at investigating the level of burnout among EFL teachers in Indonesia. This study was a mixed method study followed by forty-five EFL teachers who are currently teaching in high school level. Using Maslach Burnout Inventory Educators Survey, it was found 57.8% of participants responded they felt high levels of emotional exhaustion, followed by moderate levels (31.1%) and high levels (11.1%). Comparably, approximately 17.8% of the teachers felt they were not depersonalized, compared to 37.8% who felt it was moderate and 44.4% who felt it was extreme. High level of burnout was experienced by teachers with less than five years of teaching experience. Low to moderate level of burnout was found in teachers with more than five years experiences. Regression analysis found that length of experience significantly influences EFL teachers’ level of burnout (Sig. <.05). A further interview confirmed the factor that caused burnout among teachers such as teaching administration, adapting with technology, and dealing with misbehave students. This study highlighted the importance of addressing teachers’ burnout level.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has had a significant impact on the structure of the workforce, including in Indonesia. This study examines the implications of AI implementation on changes in the national workforce structure and the transformation of traditional work culture values such as family values, loyalty, and hierarchy. The method used is qualitative descriptive through a literature review of academic literature from the past five years. The study covers shifts in work roles, changes in organizational culture values, and adaptive responses from society and institutions to digitalization. The results indicate that while AI enhances efficiency and productivity, the automation of routine tasks particularly in manufacturing and customer service sectors may reduce the need for conventional labor and drive demand for new competencies such as digital literacy, data analysis, creativity, and emotional intelligence. Therefore, adaptive collaboration between government, industry, and educational institutions is needed to formulate inclusive training policies and organizational cultural adaptation strategies to support the readiness of the national workforce to face digital transformation in a fair and sustainable manner.

Abstract

The digitalization era has transformed social interactions through social media, particularly among Indonesian youth with 204.7 million internet users. Implementation of the Electronic Information and Transaction Law (UU ITE) faces complex challenges among students as digital natives who exhibit a paradox between high technological capabilities and limited digital legal awareness. This study aims to analyze understanding levels and legal attitudes of students at SMA Negeri 1 Gianyar towards UU ITE and identify factors influencing the "digital legal awareness paradox". A descriptive quantitative method was employed involving 330 students through multiple-choice tests (25 items) to measure understanding and Likert scale questionnaires (25 items) to measure legal attitudes. Analysis focused on four indicators of legal understanding and three indicators of legal attitudes. Results show good understanding levels with an average of 80.36 but high variability (range 52-96), while student attitudes remain neutral at 3.5. Findings reveal a "digital legal awareness paradox" where students understand UU ITE's importance but worry about potential misuse, influenced by developmental psychology characteristics, digital native generation traits, and Social Learning Theory. This research provides important contributions for developing more effective digital legal education strategies.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the implementation of Citizenship Education through the Teba Modern movement in Desa Adat Cemenggaon as a means of strengthening citizens’ ecological awareness. This research employs a qualitative approach using ethnographic methods, conducted through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis of customary regulations (awig-awig and perarem) related to village-based waste management. The findings reveal that the revitalization of the Teba Modern concept plays a significant role in developing a waste management system grounded in local wisdom by integrating a social ecology approach and the principle of harmony within Hindu cosmology, particularly the balance between Bhuana Agung and Bhuana Alit. The success of this initiative is supported by synergistic collaboration between the customary village government, the community, and local stakeholders, as well as the effectiveness of customary regulations that possess strong social and spiritual binding power. The implementation of Teba Modern contributes positively to environmental sustainability, social cohesion, and the internalization of spiritual values in ecological citizenship practices. This concept has strong potential to serve as a sustainable waste management model for other indigenous villages.
