Abstract

Cyber extension web facilitates agriculture extension staffs to leverage this media communication system to strengthen their capability and capacity for improving extension services. Through the Technology Acceptance Model approach, this study examines the use of cyber extension and the affect of self-efficacy, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, subjective norms, and attitude toward usage on cyber extension usage by agriculture extension staffs in Central Java Province. This study was conducted from April to May 2023 using a quantitative approach. The population includes agriculture extension staffs within the scope of the Central Java Provincial Agriculture Office. Sampling was done using convenience sampling, with 377 agriculture extension staffs spreading across 28 districts and five cities. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The study showed that use of the cyber extension web can be categorized as low-level; meanwhile, self-efficacy, perceived ease of use, subjective norms, and attitudes towards positive use were relatively high. Cyber extension usage was directly affected by perceived ease of use, subjective norms, and attitude toward usage. As a recommendation, interventions are needed to improve and continue to update content variations. It is necessary to develop and optimize the use of cyber extension at the provincial and or district level.

Abstract

Gaya kepemimpinan merupakan cara yang digunakan seorang pemimpin untuk mempengaruhi perilaku bawahannya dimana gaya kepemimpinan ini bertujuan untuk membimbing serta memotivasi karyawan sehingga diharapkan akan berkinerja sangat baik dan mencapai visi dan misi organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan membandingkan gaya kepemimpinan yang dilakukan oleh seorang pemimpin yang berasal dari suku jawa dan suku melayu. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan merupakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan etnografi, karena dalam penelitian kualitatif menghendaki data dan informasi yang berbentuk deskripsi dan narasi untuk dapat mengungkapkan makna yang berada di balik deskripsi atau uraian informan. Penentuan informan atau sempel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik sampling purposive. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi secara langsung dan tidak langsung, serta wawancara dengan pihak terkait secara langsung atau menggunakan sarana komunikasi elektronik. Hasil studi tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa Pemimpin yang berasal suku Jawa cenderung menggunakan gaya kepemimpinan Transformasional sedangkan pemimpin dari suku melayu menampilkan gaya kepemimpinan authentic. Dalam merespon kondisi VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) saat ini, pemimpin bersuku jawa akan lebih dapat mendukung terwujudnya perubahan sesuai dengan transformasi yang diharapkan.

Abstract

Dynamic and sustainable agricultural technology innovation is very important to increase production and the added value of agricultural products. This program aims to implement organic farming conversion on the Rojolele Srinuk rice variety, a javanica rice variety that has been modified to have advantages such as a shorter lifespan and resistance to pests. The program is carried out in five stages: (1) Program preparation, including planning and mapping targets; (2) Training in making organic fertilizer, through lectures and direct practice; (3) Practicing organic cultivation of Rojolele Srinuk rice on 2 hectares of land, using half the dose of chemical fertilizer and organic fertilizer; (4) Regular assistance to monitor and deal with obstacles such as pest attacks; (5) Farming bookkeeping training to optimize cost and profit management. Preparation for the program was carried out from May to June 2024, with training on June 21, 2024. Even though there was a rat pest attack that damaged up to 80% of the land, the use of botanical pesticides resulting from the training helped reduce the damage and allowed a harvest with a yield of 30-50% of the expected. Bookkeeping training increases farmers' understanding of cost and profit analysis. The final evaluation shows the potential and challenges of organic farming conversion that need to be addressed in future programs.

Abstract

This study aims to find out whether the performance appraisal system and remuneration system have a partial effect on employee motivation at BPDPKS and to find out if the motivation of HR employees affects employee performance at BPDPKS. The data collection method used in this study was documentation and questionnaires collected by distributing questionnaires to all BPDPKS officials and employees as many as 84 employees.There are three steps of this research analysis stage: the first stage is a descriptive analysis of the characteristics of the respondents describing based on age range, education and gender, the second stage is a descriptive analysis of research variables looking at the description of the research variables based on the respondent's point of view and the third stage is the SEM PLS analysis carried out to assess the variable influence test with 2 (two) stages, namely the outer model test and the inner model test. The results of the SEM PLS analysis stated that the composition of remuneration had no effect on employee work motivation, the performance appraisal system had a good and large influence on work motivation, employee motivation was influenced by the performance appraisal method and remuneration composition at the same time and employee performance was positively and significantly influenced by work motivation
