Abstract

Loyalty is an important element in the life of Christian faith. Christian faith requires loyalty in order to persist in a faith that is always full of challenges. Believers are often unfaithful when facing certain challenges. Therefore, a model of loyalty to the truth is needed. Paul in his letter to the church in Romans 11:25-32 describes God's faithfulness as a model of true faithfulness. This research aims to examine Paul's ideas and find a comprehensive picture of God's faithfulness. The research method used is library research with a descriptive analysis approach. From various references, both the Holy Bible and books and scientific articles related to this theme. God's faithfulness throughout Scripture shines through in the fullness of His promises. According to Paul, God's righteousness lies in His faithfulness to His promise of salvation. Humans respond to God's faithfulness by holding fast to the promised promises of faith. Abraham's faith is a concrete example of human experience in responding to God's faithfulness. He never rejects people who are faithful to His covenant.

Abstract

The letter of Jude is one of seven Catholic letters in the Christian Bible. His main advice is to resist the error of false teachers. For the Church, false teachers are a doctrinal threat that distorts Christian doctrine and the life orientation of believers towards destruction. Today's church faces challenges where material things are glorified and God is no longer a guide. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with the nature of a literature review. The researchers tried to explore the content of the message of Jude's letter and how it is actualized in the context of the contemporary Church. The goal is for every person who believes in Christ to have an awareness of faith in responding to today's world. Firm faith is the way to survive various worldly temptations.

Abstract

The Church carries out its mission through five fundamental dimensions: koinonia (communion), diakonia (service), liturgia (worship), kerygma (proclamation), and martyria (witness). Among these, martyria occupies a central role as the witness of faith in Christ in the world. This article aims to analyze the theological meaning of the testimony of John the Baptist in John 1:19–28 and its relevance as a paradigm of the Church’s martyria in the contemporary context. The study employs a qualitative method based on a literature review, using a biblical-theological analytical approach to the text of the Gospel of John. The findings indicate that John’s testimony is characterized by an authentic confession of faith, Christological humility, and a total orientation toward Christ as the center of proclamation. These characteristics affirm that the Church’s martyria is not self-centered but focused on the presence of Christ, made visible through a lived witness and authentic proclamation within the context of the contemporary world. Therefore, the testimony of John can serve as a model for the Church in carrying out its mission of martyria today.
