Abstract

This study aims to find out how to apply the Drill and Practice Method using Google form media in learning mathematics in fraction material in class IV SDN Tmbang Langsa. The application of the drill and practice method is because at Timbang Langsa Elementary School the students still experience difficulties when participating in learning mathematics about fractions. The research method used is experimental, a type of quantitative research using interview and observation documentation. The subjects of this study were 15 students at SDN Timbang Langsa, and class IV teachers. The results of this study are the Google Form-based Drill and Practice Method applied at SDN Timbang Langsa because during the pandemic, students and teachers are connected via the Google form on their respective cellphones. Google Form-based Drill and Practice is implemented by giving questions and exercises repeatedly

Abstract

Ilmu pengetahuan yang terus berkembang saat ini sangat berpengaruh besar terhadap dunia pendidikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis penerapan model PjBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa sebagai calon guru atau calon pendidik di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Jenis penelitian dengan strategi deskriptif, penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif. Pengumpulan data ini menggunakan teknik observasi dan wawancara. Penelitian berperan sebagai instrumen utama dalam pendekatan penelitian kualitatif ini, yang dilakukan langsung di lapangan pada sumber data. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa langkah yang dapat dilakukan untuk menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis proyek untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, antara lain pemilihan proyek, penyiapan proyek, penyiapan jadwal pelaksanaan proyek, penyelesaian proyek, penulisan laporan dan publikasi hasil proyek, dan evaluasi proses dan hasil proyek. Mahasiswa melakukan refleksi terhadap hasil produk artikel yang telah dirancang hingga di akhir semester setelah progresnya selesai akan dipublikasikan ke jurnal-jurnal nasional bereputasi, dan nantinya akan menjadi karya tulis ilmiah dalam bentuk artikel hasil dari kerja keras mahasiswa. Pada akhirnya akan terbentuklah pembelajaran project based learning dalam bentuk produk artikel yang dapat menambah pengetahuan serta kemampuan berpikir mahasiswa PGMI sebagai calon pendidik di tingkat pendidikan dasar.

Abstract

This research is expected to improve student learning achievement in mathematics (MTK). Low student learning outcomes and students' lack of understanding of the subject matter as a result of conventional teaching methods that do not use real media have been accepted as the biggest problems. This has solved the two-cycle Classroom Action Research (CAR) strategy based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model. Preparation, implementation of activities, observation, and reflection are the four steps that make up each cycle. The teaching aids used are Puzzle Box models. The average value of students increased significantly, based on research statistics. The average value of students increased from 61.4 in the pre-cycle stage to 69.2 in cycle I, and then to 78.4 in cycle II. At that timhje, the percentage of students who achieved the learning completeness standard increased from 36% at the beginning of cycle II to 88% at the end of the cycle. The results presented show how the use of teaching aids can improve conceptual understanding, research motivation, and engagement in the academic learning process. Teaching aids have been proven effective in improving the quality of student learning outcomes when used as learning materials.
