Abstract

Pondok pesantren telah menjadi bagian sistem pendidikan Indonesia sejak abad ke-17 dengan fokus pada pemahaman agama. Seiring perkembangan zaman, pesantren mengalami modernisasi menjadi Islamic Boarding School dengan pengaruh neoliberalisme dalam pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan parental choice dan konsep neoliberal dalam pelaksanaan boarding school di Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini dianalis dengan teori pilihan rasional J. Coleman dan konsep parental choice Shiferaw dan Kenea. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan melakukan observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen dengan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah informan sebanyak 10 orang. Informan penelitian terdiri dari orang tua, ketua yayasan, kepala sekolah (madrasah), ustadz dan ustadzah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan meningkatnya minat terhadap Islamic Boarding School dipengaruhi oleh ekonomi yang lebih baik dan kesibukan orang tua. Analisis ini berkontribusi pada pemahaman teori dan praktik penerapan neoliberalisme serta pemetaan segmentasi kelas sosial di Islamic Boarding School untuk mendukung kebijakan pendidikan yang lebih inklusif.

Abstract

Forest destruction will have a major impact on accelerating climate change. The groups most vulnerable to environmental impacts are indigenous communities, who grow and live by relying on forest products. As a country that is implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) concept, forest degradation is a crucial problem, especially in part 15 of the SDGs goals, namely protecting land ecosystems. The parties responsible for this issue are of course every level of society which should strive to preserve nature and become conservation agents. Therefore, there is a need for further discussion regarding the application of local culture in preserving the Kerinci Seblat Park in Kerinci Regency. This research was conducted using qualitative methods relying on primary and secondary data. With data collection techniques such as observation, interviews and document analysis. The research results show that the preservation of the Kerinci Seblat National Park Forest (TNKS) is triggered by local wisdom regarding the myth of prohibiting disturbing the forest which is believed by the local community. People living in mountain forests are an ethnic minority group, possessing a wealth of local knowledge and skills in forest management. By maintaining forests through the help of local wisdom, this helps realize the 15th SDGs goal, namely the balance of terrestrial ecosystems.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan, dan menganalisis Implementasi kurikulum dan pembelajaran sosiologi di SMA Eco Pesantren Daarut Tauhiid. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan dengan tiga teknik yaitu, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan bantuan Nvivo melaui empat tahap menurut Huberman dan Miles, yaitu, pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Serta keabsahan data digunakan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pesantren sebagai lembaga pendidikan tradisional Islam telah mampu menyesuaikan diri dengan kebutuhan pendidikan masyarakat di era globalisasi tanpa mengorbankan nilai-nilai inti yang menjadi landasan mereka. Pembelajaran sosiologi di SMA ECO Pesantren Daarut Tauhiid memiliki pendekatan yang berbeda dari praktik yang biasa ditemukan di sekolah reguler. Mata pelajaran sosiologi mampu mengembangkan model pembelajaran yang tidak hanya melibatkan siswa dalam pemecahan masalah tetapi juga membimbing mereka untuk menjawab tantangan sosial dengan solusi yang sesuai dengan ajaran Islam.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat pemahaman nilai tepa selira dalam pembelajaran sosiologi sebagai upaya preventif terhadap perilaku bullying di kalangan siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental design dengan desain one-group pretest-posttest design. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari tes pemahaman nilai tepa selira yang diberikan sebelum dan sesudah intervensi pembelajaran. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas untuk memastikan kesesuaian dengan asumsi statistik parametrik, dilanjutkan dengan uji paired sample t-test untuk membandingkan hasil pretest dan posttest. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai p-value sebesar 0,0002, yang mengindikasikan perubahan signifikan antara hasil pretest dan posttest. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa intervensi pembelajaran yang dilakukan berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap nilai tepa selira, yang berpotensi berkontribusi pada pencegahan perilaku bullying. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya integrasi nilai-nilai budaya lokal dalam pembelajaran untuk membangun karakter siswa yang inklusif dan empatik.

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of Indonesia's social protection policies, focusing on two key programs: Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) and Bantuan Sosial Pangan (BSP). The research addresses the broader issue of poverty and social inequality in Indonesia, with particular attention to the challenges faced by vulnerable populations, including low-income families, the elderly, and people with disabilities. The study's purpose is to assess how well these social protection programs are achieving their intended outcomes of poverty alleviation and social inclusion. A qualitative research design was employed, utilizing secondary data from government reports, program evaluations, and relevant academic literature. The study analyzes the policy formulation, implementation, and evaluation processes of these programs through the lens of Dunn’s Circular Policy Evaluation Model, which emphasizes problem identification, policy formulation, implementation, and evaluation. The findings indicate that while PKH and BSP have contributed to immediate poverty relief and food security, they have not addressed the underlying structural causes of poverty, such as limited access to education and healthcare. The research concludes that although the programs provide significant short-term benefits, their long-term effectiveness is limited due to logistical challenges in program delivery and the failure to integrate broader development goals. The study suggests that future social protection strategies should focus on sustainable poverty reduction by addressing the root causes of inequality and improving service delivery mechanisms.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Nikah gantung is a marriage practice that is religiously valid, yet the couple does not live together or fulfill domestic obligations such as financial support. This phenomenon is commonly found in several traditional communities in Indonesia, primarily as an effort to preserve family honor, avoid premarital sex, or due to economic reasons. However, behind this practice lies a serious discrepancy between religious norms, customary law, and state legal regulations—particularly in terms of marriage registration, legal protection, and minimum marriage age. This study aims to critically analyze the tension among religious, customary, and state institutions in defining the legality of nikah gantung. It also explores how the power relations among these three institutions shape the meaning of what constitutes a "valid" marriage, and how this affects the protection of women's and children's rights. The method used is a qualitative literature study with a critical discourse analysis approach. Data were obtained from previous studies on nikah gantung, Islamic family law, civil law, and anthropological research on customary practices. The analysis applies Michel Foucault’s theory of power, particularly the concepts of governmentality, regime of truth, and symbolic discipline. The findings reveal that marriage legality in the context of nikah gantung is not neutral, but rather the result of competing discourses: the state demands administrative certainty, religion emphasizes sacred legitimacy, and customary norms operate through shame and honor. This research concludes with a call for a more integrative, just, and rights-oriented approach to family law that respects cultural diversity.

Abstract

Tan Malaka's thought, encapsulated in Materialism Dialectics Logic (Madilog), presents a critical philosophical approach to colonialism and the Indonesian liberation struggle. This article examines Madilog's concept within the context of political philosophy, exploring the application of dialectical materialism in interpreting Indonesia’s colonial socio-political reality. Utilizing a literature review method, this article focuses on three principal elements in Madilog materialism, dialectics, and logic as intellectual and political strategies against colonial injustice. The study concludes that Tan Malaka’s approach in Madilog is a foundational influence on Indonesia's political movement history, with potential applications in modern political studies. This foundational influence not only shaped the early resistance against colonial rule but also continues to resonate in contemporary political discourse. By revisiting Madilog, scholars and activists alike can draw valuable lessons on the importance of critical thought and collective action in the ongoing struggle for justice and equity.

Abstract

Pengembangan Lembar kerja peserta Didik (LKPD) sosiologi dilatar belakangi oleh kebutuhan pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik dalam pemecahan masalah, kemampuan dalam berfikir kritis serta menumbuhkan rasa ingin tahu. Tujuan penelitian untuk melakukan validasi LKPD Sosiologi pada materi Globalisasi Kelas XII. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif. Validator dalam penelitian ini dilakukan oleh 3 (tiga) dosen sosiologi Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Padang dan 1 (satu) guru mata pelajaran sosiologi SMA. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan angket validasi. Hasil penelitian dan analisis data validasi yaitu 86,25% dengan kriteria “sangat valid”. Nilai validasi tersebut merupakan akumulasi dari aspek kesesuaian kelayakan isi, penyajian dan kebahasaan. Adapun validasi LKPD dari aspek kelayakan media diperoleh nilai sebesar 85,55% dengan kriteria “sangat valid”. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan LKPD berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi perubahan sosial sudah tervalidasi layak dari aspek konten maupun medianya. Selanjutnya LKPD sudah bisa diujicobakan pada siswa kelas XII IIS dalam proses pembelajaran.
