Abstract

This research aimed to find the effect of motivation, work discipline, and work environment, both partially and simultaneously, on the performance of PT Aurora Indah Elektrik employees. Respondent in this research was 48 contract employees. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling, and a questionnaire was used for collecting primary data. The research data were analyzed quantitatively using multiple linear regression methods with the help of the SPSS 24.0 application. The results of the quantitative analysis show that motivation, work discipline, and work environment both partially and simultaneously had a positive and significant effect on the performance of PT Aurora Indah Elektrik employees. Partial t-test results showed that motivation had tcount (3.904) > ttable (2.015) with a significance of 0.000 <0.05. Work discipline had tcount (2.853) > ttable (2.015) with a significance of 0.007 <0.05. The work environment had tcount (3.383) > ttable (2.015) with a significance of 0.002 <0.05. The simultaneous F test results showed that Fcount (212.105) > Ftable (2.816) with a significance of 0.000 <0.05. The most dominant variable affecting employee performance was the work motivation variable, with the largest tcount. The results of the determination test showed that 93.1% of employee performance could be explained and obtained from motivation, work discipline and work environment. In contrast, the rest was obtained from other factors. Employee performance strongly relates to motivation, work discipline, and work environment.

Abstract

The contestation of interfaith communication in North Tapanuli, Indonesia, reflects the region's long and diverse history of religious interactions. This study aims to explore the factors influencing interfaith communication and to promote religious moderation. A qualitative descriptive method with an ethnographic approach was utilized to identify and analyze the dynamics of interreligious communication. The findings indicate that historical, social, and theological factors play significant roles in shaping current religious interactions, while religious institutions like the FKUB are crucial in facilitating dialogue and cooperation. This research suggests that a more inclusive and dialogical approach to religious communication can strengthen tolerance and harmony in multicultural societies.

Abstract

Ethics in the profession is an essential foundation that regulates the behavior, responsibilities and actions of a professional. This article focuses on the close relationship between professional ethics and the concept of professionalism in a broader context. Explaining the definition, concept, and importance of professional ethics, this article also explores the main aspects of the code of ethics which serve as guidelines for professional behavior. An in-depth analysis of how professional ethics provides the basis for social responsibility and its impact on the performance and reputation of the profession is also presented. In addition, this article highlights the complexity in implementing and monitoring codes of ethics in various professions, and reviews the role of professional ethics in forming a strong professionalism paradigm in various work domains. By focusing on its relationship to the concept of professionalism, this article summarizes efforts to develop professional ethics as an important pillar in building and maintaining quality and integrity in the world of work.​
