Abstract

This research aims to explore the process of converting a short story into a drama script and to understand the elements involved in this process. The scope of the study includes the concept of transfer, structural comparisons between short stories and drama scripts, transfer strategies, dialogue in stories, and elements of dramatization in drama scripts. The research method used is a literature study by collecting data from various sources such as books, scientific journals, articles, and existing research. Analysis was carried out using content and descriptive analysis to understand related theories and the results of previous research. This research data model leads to an in-depth understanding of the creative process of changing a short story into a drama script, focusing on the concept of transfer, structure comparison, transfer strategy, dialogue in the story, and elements of dramatization. Thus, it is hoped that the findings from this research will provide better insight into how literary works in the form of short stories can be adapted into drama scripts more effectively and interestingly. These findings can contribute to the development of knowledge surrounding literature and media transfer and be an important reference for researchers and practitioners in literature and theater.

Abstract

Kekerasan di lingkungan sekolah, khususnya perundungan (bullying) dan rendahnya pemahaman mengenai pendidikan seks dasar, masih menjadi tantangan serius di tingkat Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kesadaran siswa terhadap bahaya bullying dan pentingnya menjaga batasan tubuh pribadi melalui program sosialisasi di MIS Al Istiqlal, Desa Woromarto, Kecamatan Purwoasri, Kabupaten Kediri. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pada 5 Agustus 2025 menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang melibatkan 37 siswa kelas IV dan V. Metode yang digunakan mencakup ceramah interaktif, diskusi, permainan edukatif, simulasi empatik, serta pemanfaatan media visual kreatif. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa 83,78% siswa mencapai kategori pemahaman “sangat baik”, 10,81% “baik”, dan 5,41% “cukup”. Guru pendamping memberikan respons positif, menilai pendekatan ini tepat, komunikatif, dan sesuai dengan perkembangan usia siswa. Program ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman sekaligus membentuk kesadaran kritis siswa terkait pencegahan perundungan dan pelecehan berbasis tubuh. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan serupa layak untuk direplikasi di lembaga pendidikan lain sebagai upaya menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang aman, ramah anak, serta mendukung penguatan pendidikan karakter.

Abstract

This This study reveals the construction of discourse and ideology in the content of a popular Indonesian financial influencer (finfluencer) through a case study of Timothy Ronald’s YouTube video titled “You Don’t Have Time” (Kalian Gak Punya Waktu). Employing Teun A. van Dijk’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) model, which integrates the analysis of text, social cognition, and social context dimensions, this research aims to uncover the mechanisms of persuasive discourse production behind the content. Analysis of the text dimension demonstrates the use of future crisis narrative strategies and binary polarization contrasting the superior “Owner” group with the inferior “Owned” group. In the dimension of social cognition, the study finds a reproduction of a capitalist mentality that reduces humans to cost variables. Meanwhile, within the social context dimension, the discourse is identified as exploiting the economic vulnerability of Generation Z to instill an ideology of radical individualism and the glorification of hustle culture. The research concludes that the content serves not merely as financial education, but rather as an instrument of value hegemony capitalizing on the anxiety of young audiences.
