Human trafficking for the purpose of organ trafficking has become a serious global problem that violates human rights and threatens global health. International law has an important role in efforts to combat this phenomenon by providing a legal framework that regulates and prohibits the practice of human trafficking and organ trafficking. In this paper, we explore the role of international law in addressing human trafficking for the purpose of organ trafficking and its implications for global health. We analyze various relevant international legal instruments, evaluate their implementation, and identify factors influencing the effectiveness of international law in combating human trafficking for the purpose of organ trafficking. Abstract

This research examines the role of the amicus curiae in the 2024 Presidential Election Results Dispute (PHPU) trial in Indonesia. Through a qualitative approach, this research analyzes the contribution of the amicus curiae's independent views to the final decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) and public trust in the fairness of the legal process. Data was collected through document analysis, interviews and direct observation of the trial process. The findings show that amicus curiae has an important role in bringing a neutral and in-depth legal perspective, enriching legal discussions in the courtroom, and strengthening the legitimacy of the Constitutional Court's decisions in the eyes of the public. Despite being faced with various challenges, including political pressure and the complexity of legal cases, the amicus curiae remains consistent in maintaining its legal neutrality and independence

Abstract

This study investigates a case of violation of Article 22 of Law Number 5 of 1999 related to the procurement of rehabilitation and renovation packages for school facilities and infrastructure in Indragiri Hilir Regency. Using a qualitative approach, this study analyzes the motives and factors that led to the conspiracy between PT Adhikarya Teknik Perkasa (Reported Party I), PT Kalber Reksa Abadi (Reported Party II), and the 14.1 Selection Working Group (Pokja) (Reported Party III) in the tender process. The results of the study reveal that economic factors, lack of supervision, and low penalties for violations are the main drivers of the conspiracy. In addition, the involvement of Reported Party III in designing and organizing the tender results shows weaknesses in the supervision and law enforcement system. This study provides important insights for efforts to prevent and overcome violations in government procurement of goods/services in the future
