Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the forms of guidance and counseling (BK) activities conducted at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) throughout the City of Ternate, as well as the optimization strategies implemented to help students overcome difficulties in learning English. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, which allows the researcher to deeply describe the effectiveness of counseling and guidance services in supporting English language learning. The research results show that BK services are systematically integrated into English language learning through classical, individual, and group services. The optimization strategies implemented include preventive, curative, and developmental approaches, aimed at enhancing students' motivation, skills, and confidence in using English. The findings show that the optimization of guidance and counseling services has a positive impact on improving students' English language skills, as well as the development of adaptive and confident character. Although there are challenges such as the limited number of guidance counselors and low parental involvement, collaboration between guidance counselors and English subject teachers is key to improving service effectiveness. This research is expected to contribute to the development of guidance and counseling services at the elementary education level.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid, practical, and effective digital interactive Islamic education coursebook at Universitas Khairun using the ADDIE development model. The research process began with a needs analysis which indicated that students required a coursebook with simplified content divided into seven main topics. The design phase involved determining the topics, collecting references, creating a matrix, and organizing learning objectives. The developed coursebook underwent two validation steps: expert evaluation and product testing. Expert validation results showed an average score of 3.37, while product testing revealed an increase in pre-test scores from 70.00 to 81.04, a difference of 16.23%. Practicality assessment of the coursebook revealed that 95.07% of respondents rated it as “practical”. Additionally, the effectiveness of the coursebook was demonstrated by a 16.44% increase in the average pre-test and post-test scores of students. These findings indicate that the developed digital Islamic education coursebook meets the criteria for validity, practicality, and effectiveness, making it an effective learning resource at Khairun University

Abstract

The implementation of the Loloda wedding tradition is full of values. Still, it seems not yet well understood by the Loloda ethnic community in North Halmahera, especially the younger generation, so its existence is in danger. This condition has led to this traditional wedding practice no longer being practiced in its entirety. Various factors influence this, including economic limitations. Based on this, this study aims to: (1) describe the implementation of the Loloda wedding tradition, (2) analyze the cultural values contained in the implementation of the Loloda wedding tradition, and (3) identify supporting and inhibiting factors for the preservation of Loloda cultural values in the implementation of the wedding tradition. The study used a qualitative, ethnographic approach. The research subjects were Village Heads, traditional leaders, religious leaders, academics, youth leaders, community leaders, and community members. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that (1) the local community still maintains the implementation of the Loloda marriage tradition. The stages of the marriage tradition are still carried out today. Efforts to maintain this tradition continue despite the challenges of modernization. (2) Local cultural values in the implementation of marriage traditions include the values of deliberation, unity, cooperation, religiosity, togetherness, kinship, appreciation, exogamy, and moral values. (3) The preservation of cultural values in the Loloda marriage tradition is influenced by supporting factors, namely, the existence of family support. These communities still maintain customs, the application of customary law, the togetherness of the prospective bride and groom, and the completeness of the traditional equipment used in the traditional procession. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include the lack of family approval, economic factors, and globalization.
