Abstract

This study aims to describe the students? scientific attitude between students who followed science learning by applying the society technology science approach and conventional learning approach. This type of research included quasi-experimental research with a non-equivalent post-test only control group design. In this research paper involved 52 students of 5th grade of SD Inpres Andi Tonro in the academic year 2018/2019. Sample were chosen by using technic of simple random sampling and determination of the sample is based on the use of the formula Slovin. Data on scientific attitudes of students were collected by questionnaire. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis techniques (separated variance t-test). The results of this study described that the students? scientific attitude of the experimental class (using the society technology science approach) with an average score of 123.00 is classified as a very high category while the students? scientific attitude of the control class (conventional learning approach) with an average score of 108.73 is classified as high category. There was significant difference in students' scientific attitudes in the group of students who learned using society technology science approach compared to the group of students who learned using the conventional learning.

Abstract

In pronunciation class, students encountered problems in pronouncing specific words. The problems students faced are mostly found in practicing and drilling segmental and suprasegmental words. This research intended to find out difficulties that students experienced in studying pronunciation and their perspectives as to how the methodology of teaching this subject can improve their English articulation in English as a Foreign Language Classroom. This research employed descriptive qualitative analysis. The subjects of the research were 90 students and two (2) English teachers(lecturers).The researcher used observation, questionnaires, and interviews as data collection tools in adition to the students' specific test findings of segmental and suprasegmental aspects in a text. The results of this study demonstrated student’s perspective and better approach for teaching and mastering pronunciation Abstrak Di kelas pronunciation, mahasiswa sering mengalami masalah dalam mengucapkan kata-kata tertentu. Permasalahan yang dihadapi siswa sebagian besar pada latihan dan mengulang-ulang kata segmental dan suprasegmental. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesulitan-kesulitan yang dihadapi siswa dalam mempelajari pengucapan atau artikulasi dan perspektif mereka mengenai bagaimana metodologi pengajaran mata pelajaran ini dapat meningkatkan artikulasi bahasa Inggris mereka di Kelas Bahasa Inggris sebagai Bahasa Asing. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah 90 siswa dan dua (2) orang Guru Bahasa Inggris (dosen). Peneliti menggunakan observasi, angket, dan wawancara sebagai alat pengumpulan data selain temuan tes khusus siswa pada aspek segmental dan supra segmental dalam suatu teks. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pandangan mahasiswa serta pendekatan yang lebih efektif untuk mengajar dan menguasai pengucapan.

Abstract

acing the development of science and technology, students are required not only to be able to master concepts but are also expected to play a role in scientific discussions, including providing scientific explanations in analyzing and criticizing the phenomena they obtain or discuss. This can be done by applying learning that can help students to be able to manage information independently, able to think and able to reflect on what they find in life related to the material taught. One of them is by applying SSI (Socio Scientific Issue) oriented learning. This research is a qualitative research. The method used in this study is a literature review sourced from journals, articles, documents, or other relevant sources. The results showed that SSI-oriented learning is able to support student learning outcomes and students' understanding of concepts through improving thinking skills, problem analysis, scientific literacy, to building knowledge based on scientific studies and discussions. Abstrak Menghadapi perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi, dan sains, siswa dituntut tidak hanya mampu menguasai konsep tetapi juga diharapkan dapat berperan dalam diskusi ilmiah, termasuk di dalamnya memberikan penjelasan ilmiah dalam kegiatan menganalisis dan mengkritisi fenomena yang mereka peroleh atau diskusikan. Hal ini dapat dilakukan dengan menerapkan pembelajaran yang dapat membantu siswa untuk mampu mengelolah informasi secara mandiri, terampil dalam berpikir mampu melakukan refleksi terhadap apa yang mereka temukan dalam kehidupan yang terkait dengan materi yang diajarkan. Salah satunya dengan menerapkan pembelajaran berorientasi SSI (Socio Scientific Issue). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuaitatif. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tinjauan pustaka (literatur review) yang bersumber dari jurnal, artikel, dokumen, atau sumber lain yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berorientasi SSI mampu menunjang hasil belajar siswa dan pemahaman konsep siswa melalui peningkatan keterampilan berpikir, analisis masalah, literasi ilmiah, hingga membangun pengetahuan berdasarkan kajian dan diskusi ilmiah.

Abstract

The implemented learning process in the classroom effectively can enhance the quality of education, and students' abilities in terms of knowledge, attitudes, and skills will be achieved as expected in the curriculum. Learning is planned and organized in such a way that it can influence and assist students' learning activities. One of the learning models in line with the curriculum is the SOLE Model; this learning model helps teachers stimulate students' curiosity from within themselves by organizing student-centred learning. This research aims to determine the implementation of the SOLE learning model. The research method uses a qualitative approach to obtain relevant data and data sources. Data collection is done through a literature study from relevant journals. The research results show that the SOLE learning model can be used as an innovation in learning to improve students' learning activities, motivation, understanding of the material, learning autonomy, self-directed learning, and creativity, ultimately leading to improved student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to provide High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) instrument assessment at elementary school. The development model used some phases: develop blueprint test, write the item test, verify the item test, tryout 1, analyses/ revision, tryout 2, analyze test result, and finalize the instrument. Analysis technique for content and construct validity using index Grogery formula at ≥ 0,75 index for relevancy (validity). For empirical validity Karl-Pearson correlation formula, and reliability using coefficient α (Cronbach Alpha). The research result shows that HOTS instrument assessment is valid and reliable, so that it can be used in teaching – learning activities to assess HOTS of the students at elementary school.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a Guided Inquiry Learning Model Based on Educational Games, presented in a book format and supported by educational games accessible via Canva and Wordwall platforms. The model is designed to be valid, practical, and effective in enhancing elementary school students' science process skills. This study uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach, adapting the Plomp model's development stages: initial investigation, design, realization, testing, evaluation, revision, and implementation. The subjects are fifth-grade students from UPT SD Negeri 214, UPT SD Negeri 99, and UPT SD Negeri 101 in Pinrang Regency. Research instruments include validation sheets, observation sheets, questionnaires, and evaluation sheets. The study produces an Inquiry-Based Educational Game (IGE) textbook and learning tools, such as lesson plans (RPP), student worksheets (LKPD), and educational games. The findings reveal a strong need among teachers and students for a learning model that enhances science process skills. The developed IGE model comprises syntax, social system, reaction principles, support system, instructional impact, and accompanying impact. The syntax includes Activation, Playing, Exploring, and Wrap-Up phases. The IGE model meets the criteria for validity and practicality, receiving high validation ratings. The model effectively enhances students' science process skills, as shown by significant improvements in student performance. The IGE model and its learning tools are deemed highly practical, based on feedback from students and teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of the application of the SOLE learning model in terms of student response to learning and students' thinking skills after going through SOLE learning. This study is pre-experimental research using a one-shot case study design involving one independent variable, namely the SOLE Model, and dependent variables, namely student response and student HOTS ability. The source of the research data was 60 students as a sample. Data collection techniques include questionnaires and tests. Questionnaire to determine the usefulness of the SOLE model based on student responses. Test instruments are used to determine a student's HOTS profile. The data obtained are analyzed descriptively, scored, and categorized. The results showed that students' responses to SOLE learning were in a good category, which means that SOLE learning is beneficial for students. The HOTS test results showed that  3% of students had sufficient HOTS profiles, 80% of students had good HOTS profiles, and 17% of students had excellent HOTS profiles.

Abstract

Inisiatif pengabdian masyarakat ini menjawab tantangan yang dihadapi oleh guru-guru sekolah dasar dalam memasukkan konsep lingkungan yang relevan secara lokal ke dalam pendidikan sains. Dilaksanakan di SDN 02 Kampung Baru, Majene, program ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan para guru dengan keterampilan praktis yang diperlukan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar dan alat peraga sains sederhana berbasis sumber daya lingkungan setempat. Kegiatan ini menggunakan model ICARE (Introduction, Connection, Application, Reflection, and Extension), yang menggabungkan wawasan teoritis dan pelatihan langsung untuk mendorong pengembangan keterampilan. Pelatihan ini melibatkan 14 guru, membekali mereka untuk membuat alat bantu pembelajaran dengan menggunakan bahan lokal dan bahan daur ulang. Para guru secara kolaboratif merancang sumber daya yang selaras dengan kebutuhan kelas mereka, mengintegrasikan kelestarian lingkungan ke dalam kurikulum. Hasil dari pelatihan ini termasuk peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kepercayaan diri dan kompetensi peserta, yang tercermin dari peningkatan 43,86% pada skor penilaian pasca-pelatihan. Selain itu, 85% peserta menyatakan kepercayaan diri yang tinggi dalam menerapkan keterampilan ini di kelas mereka. Inisiatif ini telah menjembatani kesenjangan antara pengetahuan teoritis dan penerapan praktis, menciptakan landasan bagi praktik pendidikan yang berkelanjutan. Para guru melaporkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman tentang peran pendidikan lingkungan dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran dan tanggung jawab siswa. Hasil dari proyek ini menyoroti nilai dari sumber daya pengajaran lokal dan menekankan pentingnya dukungan dan kolaborasi yang berkelanjutan untuk dampak pendidikan yang lebih luas.

Abstract

Abstrak Muh. Andy Awal Purnama Putra, 2022. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Penataan Sarana dan Prasarana terhadap Minat Belajar Siswa SDI Japing Kecamatan Pattalassang Kabupaten Gowa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif jenis ekspostfacto yang menunjukkan pengaruh variabel X terhadap variabel Y. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah berjumlah 95 orang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebesar 75 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan teknik analisis datanya menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif serta Teknik analisis statistik inferensial menggunakan Analisis Regresi Linear Sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, penataan sarana dan prasarana terhadap minat belajar siswa di SDI Japing Kecamatan Pattalassang Kabupaten Gowa.  berada pada kategori sedang. Adapun berdasarkan  hasil  analisis   data menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang positif dan  signifikan  antara penataan sarana dan prasarana sekolah  terhadap minat belajar siswa  di SDI Japing Kecamatan Pattalassang Kabupaten Gowa. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari F hitung lebih besar daripada F tabel (27.850 > 3,97) sehingga terjadi pengaruh signifikan. Kemudian signifikansi dibandingkan dengan harga p-value 0,000 lebih kecil daripada level signifikansi 5% (0,000 < 0,05). Sehingga hipotesis yang menyatakan ada pengaruh penataan sarana dan prasarana sekolah terhadap minat belajar siswa SDI Japing Kecamatan Pattalassang Kabupaten Gowa.Kata kunci : Penataan sarana dan prasarana, minat belajar
