Abstract

The problem of drug abuse is truly disturbing for the government and society throughout Indonesia. Every year the prevalence rate of drug abuse always increases. Efforts are needed to eradicate the distribution and use of drugs in society. One of the efforts is a social and medical rehabilitation program for drug addicts. The success of the rehabilitation program must be supported by professional social support sources, namely addiction counselors and non-professional sources, namely the family. Various forms of social support provided by addiction counselors and families really help restore the physical and mental condition of drug addicts to become healthy and productive individuals again. The aim of this research is to find out and explore the forms of social support provided by addiction counselors and families in the rehabilitation program for drug addicts at the Doulos Batu Recovery Center. The research method used is a qualitative method with a case study approach. Meanwhile, the research informants were 2 addiction counselors and 2 clients/residents. The research results show that social support in the form of emotional support, tangible or instrumental support, informational support, and companionship support can restore clients' social capabilities and social responsibility so that they can return to being healthy and productive humans.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that is rich in culture and tradition. One of these cultural riches is in one region of Indonesia, namely East Nusa Tenggara. This cultural wealth is in the form of the Belis tradition which is expressed in the marriage process of the people of Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara. Belis is a symbol of marriage between men and women in East Nusa Tenggara. Belis is a dowry or a certain amount of money, goods or objects given by the prospective groom to the prospective bride. The amount of belis given usually follows the agreement or custom that applies in a particular community or tribe. Factors that influence the determination of the size of Belis are the social status of the family and the closeness of the relationship between the families. Usually the closer the kinship relationship, the greater the value of the belis that must be given. The inability to pay the belis results in social and psychological sanctions, namely being ostracized from society, being discussed by neighbors, being reprimanded by traditional leaders, and giving rise to a feeling of intense shame. This research is qualitative research with a phenomenological type

Abstract

AbstrakPemilih muda dan milenial merupakan pemilih terbanyak pada Pemilihan Umum tahun 2024,jumlahnya mencapai 60%. Namun pemilih muda dan milenial masih memiliki persoalantersendiri, salah satunya adalah rendahnya literasi politik, sehingga menyebabkan terpapardampak negatif politik uang, dan kurangnya partisipasi pada pemilihan umum. Kegiatanpengabdian ini dilakukan untuk memberi penyadaran kepada pemilih muda dan milenial diKabupaten Sumenep, Madura supaya bisa menjadi agen perubahan yang sadar terhadap perandan tanggung jawabnya untuk ikut berpartisipasi pada pemilihan umum tahun 2024. Bilapemilih muda dan milenial sadar, maka pemilihan umum tahun 2024 akan berlangsung lebihjujur dan adil, daripada pemilihan umum sebelumnya. Terlebih bila melihat jumlah pemilihmuda dan milenial yang dominan, tentu akan dapat mempengaruhi calon wakil rakyat, calonpresiden terpilih, lebih karena rekam jejak, program yang baik, bukan karena faktor uang ataupertimbangan pragmatis lainnya. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan secara kolaborasidengan pihak lain termasuk media massa, pemerintah dan masyarakat. Peserta terlibat secaraaktif dan interaktif, sehingga berjalan sesuai dengan harapan, dapat membentuk persepsi positifkepada para peserta. Selanjutnya melahirkan komitmen terhadap penyelenggaraan pemilu yangjujur, adil dan bermartabat.Kata Kunci: Pemilih milenal; pemilih cerdas; pemilu di Indonesia
