Abstract

Public transportation plays a very important role in supporting community activities. The problems that exist in public transportation in the city of Mataram mainly lie in the quality of service which includes several aspects including the attitude and professionalism of the operator, the safety and comfort of the fleet, timeliness, and a clear information system. Primary data collection in this study was conducted through the online questionnaire distribution method, while secondary data collection was conducted through previous journal review methods. The data were then analyzed using the Importance Performance Analysis method. The operational condition of the fleet shows an unfavorable level of service which in general starts from the facilities provided for first aid (P3K) in public transportation, the presence and readiness of security officers in public transportation, to passenger seating facilities that are safe and comfortable. Thus, steps that can be taken to overcome these problems are by providing more complete security facilities, ensuring the readiness of security officers in the fleet, and improving facilities and seat management in the fleet. ABSTRAK Angkutan umum memegang peranan yang sangat dalam mendukung aktivitas masyarakat. Problematika yang ada pada angkutan umum di Kota Mataram terutama terletak pada kualitas pelayanan yang meliputi beberapa aspek di antaranya, yaitu sikap dan profesionalitas operator, keamanan dan kenyamanan armada, ketepatan waktu, dan sistem informasi yang jelas. Pengambilan data primer pada penelitian ini dilakukan melalui metode penyebaran kuesioner secara daring, sedangkan pengumpulan data sekunder melalui metode kajian jurnal terdahulu. Data kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode Importance Performance Analysis. Kondisi operasional armada menunjukkan level layanan kurang baik yang secara umum mulai dari fasilitas yang disediakan untuk pertolongan pertama (P3K) dalam angkutan umum, keberadaan dan kesiapan petugas keamanan di dalam angkutan umum, hingga fasilitas tempat duduk penumpang yang aman dan nyaman. Dengan demikian, langkah yang dapat diambil untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, yaitu dengan menyediakan fasilitas keamanan yang lebih lengkap, memastikan kesiapan petugas keamanan dalam armada, dan perbaikan fasilitas dan manajemen tempat duduk dalam armada.

Abstract

Travel safety is a vital aspect of supporting the tourism industry, especially in popular destinations like Bedugul. This article discusses safety outreach and education efforts aimed at drivers and passengers in the Bedugul tourist area. This outreach activity aims to increase awareness and understanding of the importance of safe driving practices and passenger behavior that supports safety. Through a participatory and interactive approach, this program successfully conveys key information about safety procedures, the use of personal protective equipment, and handling emergency situations. The results of this activity show a significant increase in safety awareness among drivers and passengers, which is expected to reduce the risk of accidents and increase tourist comfort. This article concludes that ongoing safety education is the key to creating a safer and more enjoyable tourism environment in Bedugul.
