Abstract

This community service is carried out at STIT Muara Enim in the form of a workshop, which aims to increase students' understanding of scientific research methodology. The target to be achieved through this activity is to increase the skills of STIT Muara Enim students in compiling thesis writing, as a student's final project. The implementation of the workshop is divided into four stages, namely: 1) the preparation stage, 2) the implementation stage, 3) the evaluation stage, and 4) the reporting stage. This activity went well and smoothly in accordance with the stages arranged in the schedule for the implementation of the activity. This can be seen from the achievement of the training objectives and enthusiasm, as well as the activeness of the participants in the workshop activities. The results achieved through this workshop are very significant towards increasing the understanding of STIT Muara Enim students towards the methodology of writing scientific papers, which positively indicates an improvement in student skills in compiling thesis writing. The results of the evaluation of this activity show that there are several factors that support the implementation of the activity, namely: 1) the existence of good cooperation and full support from partners related to the provision of facilities and infrastructure; 2) the existence of procedures in the implementation of workshop activities; and 3) the enthusiasm of the participants in participating in the workshop activities. In addition to these supporting factors, there are also factors that hinder the implementation of activities, namely limited activity time that cannot satisfy all participants present. Abstrak Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksankan di STIT Muara Enim dalam bentuk workshop, yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa tentang metodologi penelitian ilmiah. Target yang ingin dicapai melalui kegiatan ini yaitu meningkatnya keterampilan mahasiswa STIT Muara Enim dalam menyusun penulisan skripsi, sebagai tugas akhir mahasiswa. Pelaksanaan workshop dibagi dalam empat tahap, yaitu: 1) tahap persiapan, 2) tahap pelaksanaan, 3) tahap evaluasi, dan 4) tahap pelaporan. Kegiatan ini berjalan dengan baik dan lancar sesuai dengan tahapan-tahapan yang disusun dalam jadwal pelaksanaan kegiatan tersebut. Hal ini terlihat dari ketercapaian terhadap tujuan pelatihan dan antusiasme, serta keaktifan peserta dalam kegiatan workshop. Hasil evaluasi terhadap kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa faktor yang mendukung terlaksananya kegiatan, yaitu: 1) adanya kerja sama yang baik dan dukungan penuh dari mitra terkait penyediaan sarana dan prasarana; 2) adanya prosedur dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan workshop; dan 3) antusiasme peserta dalam mengikuti kegiatan workshop. Di samping faktor pendukung tersebut, terdapat juga faktor penghambat pelaksanaan kegiatan, yaitu keterbatasan waktu kegiatan yang tidak dapat memuaskan semua peserta yang hadir. Hasil yang dicapai melalui workshop ini sangat signifikan terhadap peningkatan pemahaman mahasiswa STIT Muara Enim terhadap metodologi penulisan karya ilmiah, yang secara positif berindikasi pada peningkatan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam menyusun penulisan skripsi.

Abstract

Kajian ini diharapkan akan menghasilkan identifikasi permasaahan sektor pendidikan khususnya pendidikan dasar dan pendidikan menengah umum, serta rekomendasi kebijakan tentang strategi reformasi birokrasi sektor pendidikan untuk kinerja kebijakan pendidikan yang lebih baikPenelitian ini merupakan jenis riset kepustakaan (library research). Apa yang disebut dengan riset kepustakaan atau sering juga disebut studi pustaka, ialah serangkaian kegiatan yang berkenaan dengan metode pengumpulan data pustaka, membaca dan mencatat serta mengolah bahan penelitian. Melihat begitu kompleksnya permasalahan reformasi birokrasi pendidikan dan kebijakan kemendikbud terhadap mutu pendidikan, penting untuk segera dilakukan reformasi birokrasi pendidikan secara sungguh-sungguh melalui: peningkatan kapasitas sumber daya manusia, peningkatan kewenangan daerah untuk mengelola urusan pendidikan, dan memberikan kesempatan masing-masing satuan pendidikan untuk mengambil keputusan secara mandiri. Kinerja birokrasi melalui responbilitas harus terus ditingkatkan untuk menciptakan pelayanan prima terutama merespon kepentingan publik. Lembaga pendidikan membutuhkan penghargaan dan perlakuan humanis ketimbang dijadikan sasaran ekploitasi dan kepentingan politis etis semata yang menegasikan tujuan utama dari pendidikan itu sendiri.

Abstract

Decision making and planning play a strategic role in determining the direction and quality of leadership in all educational institutions, including the Islamic ones. This article analyzes the importance of decision-making and planning as two key components in Islamic educational leadership. The study was conducted with a qualitative approach using a literature study method. Data was collected from various related, relevant, and upto date literatures, including journals and books published in the last ten years. The results of this study indicate that effective decision-making and planning support educational leaders to make priorities and choose the best alternatives in solving problems and improving the quality of education policies and programs. Effective decision making and careful planning provide educational leaders with a strategic framework and structured steps to achieve educational goals. The relationship between effective decision making and careful planning with the achievement of the goal is very important. Good planning guides decision-making, and the right decisions ensure optimal planning. By understanding this concept, educational leaders can create a conducive learning environment and continuously improve the quality of education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of digital technology in improving the quality and relevance of education in the era of digital transformation. Using a literature review method and a descriptive qualitative approach, the study examines recent scholarly works discussing the integration of e-learning platforms, virtual reality (VR), and data analytics in the learning process. The results show that digital technology enables more interactive, personalized, and adaptive learning experiences that cater to students' individual needs. Furthermore, it contributes significantly to the development of 21st-century skills such as digital literacy, creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration. However, the implementation of digital technology in education still faces several challenges, including digital access inequality, infrastructure limitations, and low teacher competency in utilizing technology effectively. The main contribution of this study is to provide a comprehensive overview of the opportunities and challenges associated with digital technology in education, along with strategic recommendations for building an inclusive, high-quality, and future-oriented educational system

Abstract

Abstract Leadership is a fundamental factor in determining the success of educational institutions, particularly in creating a productive, harmonious, and quality-oriented work environment. In the context of modern educational management, leadership effectiveness is not only determined by intellectual intelligence but also by the ability to manage and express emotions positively, known as emotional intelligence. This study aims to describe the concept of emotional leadership in educational management, analyze the role of leaders’ emotional intelligence in motivating teachers and students, and examine the Islamic perspective on emotional leadership as a model grounded in moral and spiritual values. The research was conducted at SD Negeri 42 Talang Ubi, Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir Regency, using a qualitative approach through library research and descriptive analysis of relevant empirical and conceptual sources. The findings reveal that emotional intelligence–based leadership significantly influences teachers’ motivation, loyalty, and professionalism, while fostering a conducive, harmonious, and humanistic school climate. From the Islamic perspective, emotional leadership aligns with the exemplary leadership of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, who demonstrated a balance of gentleness, empathy, and moral firmness. This principle remains relevant in the modern educational era, which demands the integration of emotional intelligence and spirituality in leadership. Therefore, emotional intelligence–based leadership is not only a managerial necessity but also a manifestation of Islamic ethical and moral values in building a character-based educational culture. Abstract

The rapid development of globalization, digital technology, and socio-cultural transformation has created significant challenges for contemporary education systems, including Islamic Religious Education (IRE). These changes require educational institutions to equip students with competencies that extend beyond traditional knowledge acquisition. This study aims to examine the integration of twenty-first century skills within the curriculum of Islamic Religious Education and to analyze its contribution to enhancing students’ competencies in modern educational contexts. This research employs a qualitative approach using a systematic literature review of relevant national and international sources, including academic books, peer-reviewed journal articles, and policy documents. The data were analyzed through thematic content analysis to identify key patterns related to the urgency, pedagogical strategies, benefits, and challenges of integrating twenty-first century skills in IRE. The findings reveal that competencies such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, digital literacy, and global citizenship awareness play a crucial role in strengthening the relevance of Islamic Religious Education. Their integration supports a shift from content-oriented instruction toward a more holistic educational approach that combines cognitive development with ethical awareness and social responsibility. However, the study also identifies several structural and pedagogical challenges, including limited teacher readiness, inadequate technological infrastructure, and curriculum rigidity. The study offers important educational implications by proposing an integrative and value-based framework that aligns twenty-first century competencies with Islamic pedagogical principles. This framework provides guidance for curriculum development, instructional design, and teacher professional development in Islamic Religious Education. Future research is recommended to conduct empirical and comparative studies to examine the effectiveness and measurable impact of such integration across diverse educational contexts.

Abstract

Indonesia's national philosophy serves as the ideological and moral foundation that guides the administration of national education, particularly through the values of Pancasila and the constitutional principles of the 1945 Constitution (UUD 1945). This philosophy emphasizes that education aims not only to enlighten the nation's life but also to shape Indonesian individuals who are characterized, moral, and capable of living harmoniously within diversity. This study aims to comprehensively examine the relationship between the national philosophy and educational practices in Indonesia, including the normative foundation, implementation in the curriculum, the teacher's role as a value internalizer, challenges faced, as well as its strategic relevance in human resource development. This study employs a library research method by reviewing scientific literature published in the past ten years, including academic books, national and international journals, and relevant research reports. The study results indicate that the national philosophy serves as a fundamental guide in formulating goals, curriculum, and learning practices. The values of Pancasila are operationalized through the Merdeka Curriculum, the Pancasila Student Profile, and project-based learning that emphasizes character development, critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and spirituality. Teachers play an important role as models, value facilitators, and agents of social transformation in ensuring that the internalization of values occurs meaningfully. However, the implementation of the national philosophy still faces various challenges, such as policy-practice gaps, limitations in teacher competencies, the influence of individualistic digital culture, socio-cultural heterogeneity, and educational facility disparities. Nevertheless, strengthening the application of the national philosophy is considered strategic in developing superior human resources with character, global competitiveness, and contributions to national development.

Abstract

The integration of 21st-century skills and educational technology has become a critical issue in improving the quality of Islamic Education (PAI) and supporting teacher career development in the digital era. This study aims to analyze how the integration of the Four Cs critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication and educational technology contributes to the professional growth of PAI teachers and the transformation of learning practices. This research employs a qualitative approach using a systematic literature review method, analyzing selected scholarly articles published between 2020 and 2025. Data were collected through structured searches in academic databases and analyzed using an interactive model involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the integration of 21st-century skills and educational technology enhances teachers’ pedagogical competence, promotes innovative and student-centered learning, and expands professional opportunities through digital engagement and scholarly activities. However, critical reflection reveals inconsistencies in previous studies, particularly in the gap between theoretical frameworks and classroom implementation, as well as the uneven impact of technology integration due to variations in teacher readiness and institutional support. Additionally, most studies focus on short-term outcomes, leaving a gap in understanding long-term career development. This study concludes that the integration of 21st-century skills and educational technology is essential but requires comprehensive and systemic support to be effectively implemented. The research contributes by providing an integrative framework that links competencies, technology, and career development, offering both theoretical insights and practical implications for advancing PAI education in the digital era.
