Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to explore the role of teachers in handling conflict in schools and increasing tolerance among students. Through a qualitative approach, the results show that teachers act as mediators and facilitators in conflict resolution. They use various strategies, such as direct mediation, integration of tolerance values in religious lessons through Bible stories, and group discussions that encourage empathy and respect for differences. Christian religious education teachers have a key role in creating a peaceful and inclusive school environment, shaping students into individuals who are tolerant and respectful of differences. PAK teachers must teach the concept of tolerance clearly and provide concrete examples of its application in everyday life, PAK teachers can help students understand that tolerance does not mean sacrificing personal beliefs, but rather appreciating and respecting the beliefs of others. In addition, PAK teachers also serve as agents of spiritual transformation, guiding students toward deeper spiritual maturity, and preparing them to grow in Christ and become individuals who are able to contribute to the creation of a more tolerant and harmonious school environment. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran guru dalam menangani konflik di sekolah dan meningkatkan toleransi di kalangan siswa. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif, Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru berperan sebagai mediator dan fasilitator dalam resolusi konflik. Mereka menggunakan berbagai strategi, seperti mediasi langsung, integrasi nilai-nilai toleransi dalam pelajaran agama melalui cerita Alkitab, dan diskusi kelompok yang mendorong empati serta penghargaan terhadap perbedaan. Guru pendidikan agama Kristen memiliki peran kunci dalam menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang damai dan inklusif, membentuk siswa menjadi individu yang toleran dan menghargai perbedaan. Guru PAK harus mengajarkan konsep toleransi secara jelas dan memberikan contoh konkret tentang penerapannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, guru PAK dapat membantu siswa memahami bahwa toleransi bukan berarti mengorbankan keyakinan pribadi, melainkan menghargai dan menghormati keyakinan orang lain. Selain itu, guru PAK juga bertugas sebagai agen transformasi spiritual, membimbing siswa menuju kedewasaan rohani yang lebih mendalam, dan mempersiapkan mereka untuk berkembang dalam Kristus serta menjadi individu yang mampu berkontribusi pada terciptanya lingkungan sekolah yang lebih toleran dan harmonis.

Abstract

This study describes the role of ethical, theologically based counseling in overcoming promiscuity among teenagers. Promiscuity, which is becoming a social phenomenon that is increasingly widespread in society, is influenced by various internal and external factors that have a negative impact on the physical, mental health and academic achievements of teenagers. Through a descriptive qualitative method approach, the researcher explains theoretically and practically about promiscuity with the role of guidance and counseling in overcoming promiscuity ethically and theologically using a literature study approach and by collecting existing data and facts that occur in the field related to information. in discussing the theme, based on appropriate and appropriate reading references which form the basis for explaining the role of counseling guidance in theological ethics to overcome promiscuity.  This approach also involves collaboration between counselors, families, and religious institutions to create an environment conducive to the moral and spiritual development of adolescents. The results show that applying this approach can be a holistic solution in facing the challenges of promiscuity among the younger generation.AbstrakPenelitian ini menguraikan tentang peran bimbingan konseling berbasis etis teologis dalam menanggulangi pergaulan bebas di kalangan remaja. Pergaulan bebas, yang menjadi fenomena sosial yang semakin meluas di masyarakat, dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor internal dan eksternal yang berdampak negatif pada kesehatan fisik, mental, serta prestasi akademis remaja. Melalui pendekatan dengan metode kualitatif deskriptif,  peneliti menguraikan secara teoritis dan praktis mengenai pergaulan bebas dengan peran bimbingan konseling dalam menanggulangi pergaulan bebas secara etis teologis dengan pendekatan studi literatur dan dengan cara mengumpulkan data-data yang ada serta fakta-fakta yang terjadi di lapangan terkait informasi dalam membahas tema, dengan bersumber dari referensi-referensi bacaan yang tepat dan sesuai yang menjadikan dasar untuk menjelaskan peran bimbingan konseling dalam etis teologis untuk menanggulangi pergaulan bebas. Pendekatan ini juga melibatkan kolaborasi antara konselor, keluarga, dan institusi agama untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang kondusif bagi perkembangan moral dan spiritual remaja. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan ini dapat menjadi solusi holistik dalam menghadapi tantangan pergaulan bebas di kalangan generasi muda.

Abstract

Family is the smallest social unit that has an important role in shaping children's character. Parents, as the main figures in the family, have a great responsibility in educating and guiding children, especially in terms of Christian religious education. This study aims to describe the responsibility of parents in providing Christian Religious Education guidance according to Proverbs 22:6 on the behavior of children aged 3-5 years. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method by analyzing the text of Proverbs 22:6 and various related scientific sources. The results of the study indicate that the right parenting pattern from parents has a major influence on children's spiritual growth. Parents play an important role in instilling spiritual values from an early age, providing good examples, and creating a conducive environment for children's development. Proper education from a young age will shape children's characters that do not deviate from God's path until adulthood. This study provides an in-depth understanding of the meaning of Proverbs 22:6 and its relevance in early childhood education, with a focus on the role of parents as the main guides in shaping children's character according to Christian teachings. This study also highlights the importance of the role of parents as authoritative figures who have a divine mandate in educating children, which distinguishes it from other studies that may only focus on the psychological or social aspects of child rearing.

Abstract

Toxic relationships in dating are a problem often experienced by teenagers, including Christian teenagers. These unhealthy relationships are characterized by emotional manipulation, excessive control, constant conflict, and lack of healthy communication, which ultimately negatively impacts psychological, spiritual, and social well-being. Teens trapped in toxic relationships tend to experience stress, anxiety, and loss of self-confidence. Spiritually, toxic relationships can distance them from Christian values of love, patience, and respect for others, and reduce their involvement in the church community. Therefore, understanding the impact of toxic relationships on Christian teenagers is important to provide solutions in building healthier relationships. This research was conducted through a literature study of various related sources, including developmental psychology, interpersonal relationships from a Christian perspective, and factors that contribute to toxic relationships among adolescents. The results show that guidance based on biblical values, such as love, respect, and healthy communication, plays an important role in shaping more positive relationship patterns. In addition, support from family, church community, and education on healthy relationships are key factors in helping adolescents avoid and overcome the negative impacts of toxic relationships. This study makes a new contribution in understanding the importance of a spiritual-based approach in building harmonious relationships that are in line with Christian teachings. With better education on healthy relationships, it is hoped that Christian adolescents can live a more emotionally, socially and spiritually prosperous life.

Abstract

This study discusses the influence of pastoral competence and spirituality on the growth of congregational faith. Pastoral competence includes in-depth theological knowledge, teaching skills, effective leadership, and the ability to manage church services. Meanwhile, pastoral spirituality is related to a consistent prayer life, exemplary Christian character, and willingness to serve with love and sacrifice. This study uses a qualitative approach with an in-depth literature study analysis from various reliable sources related to the topic of pastoral competence and spirituality and its impact on the growth of congregational faith. The purpose of this study is to analyze how pastoral competence and spirituality affect the growth of congregational faith, as well as to provide an understanding of the factors that support the success of pastoral care in the context of the church. The results of this study indicate that both factors have a mutually supportive impact in creating a healthy church environment and building the congregation's faith. Pastors who are competent in teaching and leadership and have a deep spiritual life are able to provide examples that inspire the congregation to grow in faith and actively participate in church services. This study emphasizes the importance of a balance between competence and spirituality in church services to support the overall growth of the congregation's faith.

Abstract

The descriptive qualitative method was used in this study to analyze the role of Christian Religious Education teachers in improving students' attitudes and morality by applying biblical values in their education. In addition, this study describes theoretically and practically how Christian Religious Education teachers can function as agents of transformation in shaping students' characters. Teachers not only serve as educators, but also serve as role models who demonstrate values such as love, honesty, responsibility and humility. Teaching Christian Religious Education can help shape student character by using a holistic approach that includes cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. Nonetheless, Christian Religious Education teachers face many problems, such as the negative impact of technology, society, and the family environment. Therefore, to overcome these problems, relevant, creative and contextual approaches are needed. In addition, this research emphasizes the importance of cooperation between teachers, parents and the school community to ensure that Christian values can be applied in students' daily lives. Christian Religious Education teachers can serve as agents of transformation in improving students' attitudes and morality effectively and consistently.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the impact of parents' authoritarian parenting styles on students' self-confidence, with a focus on understanding how this parenting approach influences children's psychological and emotional development. In this research, the author used a comprehensive literature review method, analyzing various previous studies that discussed the relationship between authoritarian parenting and children's self-confidence. This approach includes identifying the characteristics and aspects of authoritarian parenting, as well as the psychological impacts it produces, such as anxiety, fear of failure, and social withdrawal. By understanding this connection, it is hoped that this research can provide meaningful insight for parents, educators and other related parties regarding the importance of more democratic and supportive parenting. In addition, this research also aims to formulate effective intervention strategies to help children raised in authoritarian environments to develop healthy and positive self-confidence. It is hoped that the results of this research can contribute to improving parenting practices and creating a generation of children who are more confident, independent and able to face future challenges.

Abstract

Dalam perkembangan teknologi yang canggih saat ini, gadget bisa berdampak positif. Namun, gadget juga berdampak negatif apabila peserta didik dalam praktik penggunaannya kurang tepat seperti penggunaan gadget untuk bermain game online secara berlebihan sehingga mengakibatkan peserta didik mengalami kecanduan pada game online. Oleh karena itu, Guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen harus memiliki upaya untuk pencegahan kecanduan game online terhadap peserta didik. Guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen harus mengarahkan dan memberi pemahaman kepada peserta didik mengenai dampak yang akan terjadi apabila mereka mengalami kecanduan game online, dengan cara pengalihan perhatian membuat kreatifitas-kreatifitas melalui gadget mereka dan menggunakan gadget tersebut untuk melakukan proses pembelajaran. Guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen berupaya untuk melakukan bimbingan atau konseling, sosialisasi tentang penggunaan gadget, pembinaan iman rohani dengan penjelasan dalam beberapa aspek dan berkomunikasi dengan orang tua peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk mengungkapkan data lapangan secara deskriptif dengan mengumpulkan data observasi dan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari beberapa upaya yang dilakukan guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen yang paling efektif dan berpengaruh untuk mencegah kecanduan game online terhadap peserta didik adalah komunikasi dan pengawasan dari orangtua.
