Abstract

Let R be an associative ring with identity, let C(R) denoted the center of R, and let be a polynomial in the polynomial ring C(R)[x]. Ring R is called strongly - clean if every element can be written as with , u is a unit of R, and. The relation between strongly -clean rings and strongly clean rings are determined, some general properties of strongly -clean rings and clean ideal are given. In this paper, by the definition and properties of clean ideal, we introduce definition and properties of-clean ideal with some examples of it. If ring R is -clean we must have that has at least two roots in R. But, for an ideal in ring R, it can be -clean although only has one root in R. The example for this case is given.

Abstract

Advancements in information technology have simplified various aspects of human life, including in the education sector. One important tool for monitoring the effectiveness of higher education is a tracer study information system, which allows educational institutions to gather data on alumni and their contributions to the workforce. Politeknik Pelayaran Sulawesi Utara (PPSU), as a higher education institution under the Ministry of Transportation, faces challenges in managing alumni data that are dispersed across various regions in Indonesia. Therefore, this study aims to design and develop an Android-based tracer study application to streamline the management of alumni data more efficiently and accurately. The research methodology employed is the waterfall model, which includes the stages of planning, analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The findings of this study indicate that the developed Android-based tracer study application can assist in managing alumni data more efficiently, allowing administrators to obtain real-time information from anywhere. This application also provides convenience for alumni to update their information while offering constructive feedback to improve the quality of education at PPSU. Based on the test results, the application is deemed feasible and effective for use in managing alumni data. This research is expected to serve as a reference for the development of similar systems at other higher education institutions and contribute to the improvement of higher education quality in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research explores the integration of transdisciplinary and sustainability science into maritime vocational education to enhance ecosystem resilience. Drawing on qualitative data from five maritime professionals, five lecturers, and fifteen senior cadets from the Maritime Polytechnic of North Sulawesi, this study captures the depth of experience and expertise across industry, academia, and student perspectives. The findings reveal that ecosystem resilience education—when supported by industry-based learning, environmental case studies, and interdisciplinary methods—equips maritime cadets with holistic skills necessary for addressing real-world challenges. By understanding the connections between marine ecosystem health, shipping logistics, and sustainable economic practices, the study underscores the need for curriculum reform that promotes systemic thinking. The research emphasizes how knowledge co-production between practitioners and educators can lead to more inclusive, socially just, and sustainable maritime education. These insights are especially critical for maritime institutes preparing graduates to operate within global sustainability frameworks and green economy initiatives.
