Abstract

This research aims to examine the effect of using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model on mathematics learning outcomes for class V elementary school mathematics. This research is quantitative research with experimental methods. The research design used isĀ  control group pre-test post-test design. The subjects of this research were 25 fifth-grade students of SDN 01 Jati, Jaten, Karanganyar. The experimental class consisted of 13 people and the control class consisted of 12 people. Data collection was carried out using instruments in the form of description questions, data analysis using the paired sample t-test and prerequisite tests, namely the normality test and homogeneity test with the help of the SPSS version 16 program. Based on the results of the t test using the Paire Sample T-test, a sig value was obtained. 2-tailed) of 0.000< 0.05. So the hypothesis Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, meaning that the CTL learning model in mathematics learning material about flat figures has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

Along with developments in the era of globalization, there is a significant negative impact on elementary school students. Many students pay little attention to ethics and politeness, are individualistic, and care little about each other. This research aims to describe the application of a habituation-based curriculum in strengthening the character of mutual cooperation in elementary schools. This type of qualitative research with research subjects is students in grades 1 to 6 at SDN 01 Pereng. Data was collected using interview, observation and documentation techniques. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model with stages of reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that implementing a habituation-based curriculum can strengthen the character of mutual cooperation. Through the habit of working together, teachers and students collaborate with each other, so that learning activities in class, extracurricular activities and educational activities in class and school can run smoothly, easily and easily. Students can work together to protect the environment, help friends who are in trouble, and respect people without distinction of race, ethnicity or religion.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the strengthening of national character through learning Civic Education (PKn) in grade V elementary school. The research type is qualitative research with a case study approach. The research subjects were 36 fifth grade students at SDN 02 Pereng. Data collection techniques include documentation, observation, and interviews. Data analysis of the Miles and Huberman model, namely: data collection, reduction, presentation and conclusion drawing. Data validity was guaranteed through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results showed that the strengthening of national character through Civics learning can be carried out effectively and students are actively involved through innovative learning methods, such as discovery learning, lectures, and group discussions. In addition, school policies through out-of-class activities such as: flag ceremonies, commemoration of national holidays, social activities, and others also strengthen the internalization of national values, such as nationalism and Pancasila. Overall, this study confirms the importance of a holistic approach that integrates classroom learning and out-of-class activities in shaping students' national character, as well as making a significant contribution in building a young generation with integrity and love for the country.
