Abstract

Kemampuan membaca pemahaman adalah aspek krusial dalam pendidikan dasar yang memengaruhi perkembangan akademik siswa. Indonesia menghadapi tantangan signifikan dalam literasi baca-tulis, terbukti dengan penurunan skor literasi membaca pada Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) tahun 2022. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi pengaruh penerapan program literasi terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas III di SD Negeri 1 Perbutulan. Metodologi penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan tes. Pre-test dan post-test digunakan untuk menilai kemampuan membaca siswa sebelum dan sesudah penerapan program literasi. Observasi awal menunjukkan keterampilan membaca siswa masih rendah, dengan rata-rata nilai pre-test sebesar 56. Faktor internal seperti motivasi dan minat baca serta faktor eksternal seperti kurangnya dukungan lingkungan dan minimnya koleksi buku turut mempengaruhi rendahnya kemampuan membaca siswa. Setelah dua minggu penerapan program literasi, yang melibatkan pembiasaan membaca 15 menit sebelum pelajaran dimulai, terjadi peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan membaca siswa dengan rata-rata nilai post-test meningkat menjadi 71. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program literasi memiliki dampak positif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa, meskipun konsistensi dan dukungan dari berbagai pihak masih diperlukan untuk keberlanjutan program ini. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoritis dan praktis dalam memperkaya pemahaman tentang pengaruh penerapan program literas program literasi serta mendukung peningkatan kualitas literasi siswa pada jenjang pendidikan dasar.

Abstract

Based on environmental problems that are increasing day by day, and this is closely related to human behavior. This study aims to describe the application of the ecopedagogy-based character education model as an effort to instill the value of environmental care at SD Negeri Taman Kalijaga Permai. The type of research used is qualitative research with descriptive methods using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results showed that through the planning, process, and evaluation of the ecopedagogy-based character education model carried out, it can help students develop the character of environmental care, environmental awareness, and skills in environmental conservation. This is shown through the behavior of students who are able to form a combination of environmental care and responsibility values into a value system that is used as a guide for each individual at school by carrying out activities to process waste into usable goods, consistently bringing food and drink containers from home, and maintaining plants.

Abstract

This study aims ti determine the implementation of the character education model at SDIT Alief Mardiyah and identify the factors that support and hinder its implementation. Character education is an important aspect in shaping the personality of students who are noble and responsible, especially in the midst of the challenges of the times and technological advances. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews and documentation with principals, teachers and students. The results showed that character education at SDIT Alief Mardiyah is implemented systematically through various religius habituation programmes such as dhuha prayer in congregation, tahfidz AL Qur’an, 5S habituation (slime, greeting, greeting, politenees, courtesy), and anti bullying programs. Teachers and principals play an active role as role models and drivers in character building activities. The supporting factors in the implementationof character education include a conducive school environment, support from teachers, and ctructured school programs, while the inhibiting factors include the lack of comprehensive parental involvement and the challenge of negative influences from social media. In conclusion, the implementation of the character education model at SDIT Alief Mardiyah runs quite effectively and is able to form student’s religious, disciplined and responsible personalities. However, stronger cooperation between the school and parents is needs to support the sustainability of this program.
