Abstract

MSMEs in Indonesia are a potential basis for a strong national economy because of their large number, especially micro businesses, and their labor absorption capacity is very large. Sendangtirto Village, which is part of the Berbah District Area, Sleman Regency, DIY, also has quite large MSME potential. By knowing and mapping the potential of MSMEs in Sendangtirto and assisting by providing training outreach and mentoring on the digitalization of Sendangtirto MSMEs, it is hoped that it will advance and be able to develop MSMEs, increasing competitiveness with the integration of digital platforms. This service function aims to apply and disseminate the knowledge and skills possessed by academics to the wider community, as well as contributing directly to improving the quality of life and sustainable development. The results of data analysis from the questionnaire showed a significant increase in participants' understanding after the socialization. The participants' positive response to the benefits and ease of use of digital platform robots for ease in digitalizing MSMEs illustrates the success of this socialization.            Keywords: digitalization; socialization;potential of MSMEs

Abstract

The importance of edge detection in image processing, especially on banknote objects, prompted this research to carry out an analysis of two edge detection methods, namely the Prewitt and Kirsch operators. five images of banknotes with different denominations (2000, 5000, 10000, 20000 and 50000) were taken as research objects. The edge detection method is implemented using MATLAB, utilizing both Prewitt and Kirsch operators. Image quality assessment uses PSNR, Histogram and Pixel value parameters. The comparison results show that the Prewitt and Kirsch operators provide optimal edge detection results, producing clear and sharp edges in the banknote image. The edge detection quality assessment was carried out through the PSNR metric, and both showed PSNR values above 30 dB, indicating good quality in terms of clarity and accuracy. Comparison of the Histogram and Pixel values shows that the Kirsch method has a higher Histogram and the Prewitt method has a higher Pixel value.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pengaruh kualitas produk murabahah dan layanan terhadap kepuasan nasabah di LKMS BTM Surya Amanah Temanggung. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh meningkatnya kebutuhan masyarakat akan layanan keuangan syariah serta pentingnya kualitas pelayanan dan produk dalam menjaga loyalitas nasabah. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus dan fenomenologi interpretif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi langsung, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produk murabahah dipandang sebagai solusi keuangan yang selaras dengan nilai spiritual, memberikan ketenangan batin. Pelayanan yang personal, empatik, dan edukatif memperkuat kepercayaan nasabah. Kualitas produk dan layanan secara bersamaan membentuk pengalaman nasabah yang meningkatkan kepuasan. Penelitian ini menegaskan perlunya penguatan pelayanan berbasis nilai Islam dan pengembangan produk murabahah yang fleksibel untuk memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat, sehingga memperkuat loyalitas nasabah.

Abstract

Purpose – This paper analyzes the financial health of selected pharmaceutical companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) using profitability ratios across periods before (2019), during (2020--2021), and after (2022) the Covid-19 pandemic, highlighting sector resilience amid economic shocks. Design/methodology/approach – A descriptive quantitative approach uses secondary data from audited financial statements of four companies: PT Darya-Varia Laboratoria Tbk (DVLA), PT Pyridam Farma Tbk (PYFA), PT Industri Jamu dan Farmasi Sido Muncul Tbk (SIDO), and PT Tempo Scan Pacific Tbk (TSPC). Profitability ratios include Gross Profit Margin (GPM), Operating Profit Margin (OPM), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Operating Return on Assets (OROA), and Return on Equity (ROE), with peer-group comparisons and DuPont analysis. Findings – Profitability improved during the pandemic (2020--2021), driven by surging demand for health products. SIDO consistently outperformed peers. PYFA showed a strong recovery in 2022. GPM declined post-pandemic due to rising costs. Overall, the sector demonstrated counter-cyclical resilience. Research limitations – The study covers only four companies and focuses solely on profitability ratios, excluding liquidity, solvency, or macroeconomic modeling. Suggestions for future research include expanding the sample and incorporating additional metrics. Implications – Findings inform investors and policymakers on the pharmaceutical sector's resilience during crises and emphasize post-pandemic cost management strategies. Originality – This study fills a gap by extending profitability analysis into the post-pandemic period (2022) with peer benchmarking, providing a complete trajectory across pandemic phases.

Abstract

Digital literacy among educators in Indonesia, particularly regarding the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as an instructional tool, remains a critical challenge. This community service program aimed to improve AI literacy and practical skills in creating AI-based digital teaching materials among educators across educational levels, from elementary to senior high school (SD to SMA/SMK). The program was implemented through a series of workshops covering the use of Generative AI, Augmented Reality (AR), and Virtual Reality (VR) in learning design, conducted in Yogyakarta. Participants included 161 educators: 49 junior teachers (experience < 5 years) and 112 senior teachers (experience > 5 years). Data were collected through observation and documented through thematic analysis. Results showed that 100% of junior teachers and 72.32% of senior teachers (81 out of 112) had been exposed to generative AI tools prior to the workshop. Post-workshop evaluations indicated increased understanding of AI tools and improved ability to design AI-integrated teaching materials. Key barriers to AI adoption identified include limited digital infrastructure, low self-efficacy, and absence of structured AI training programs. The primary output of this program is a set of AI-based digital teaching materials produced by participants during the workshop. These findings contribute practical recommendations for designing scalable AI literacy training programs for educators in Indonesia.

Abstract

Purpose – This study examines audience responses to advertisements utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) in film promotion campaigns conducted via social media platforms. The advertisements employ AI technology to create interactive content for promotional purposes. Design/methodology/approach – The research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach through a case study method, data were gathered via in-depth interviews and analyzed using triangulation techniques. Findings – The findings indicate that the majority of audiences responded positively, perceiving the advertisements as innovative, engaging, and relevant to contemporary issues. AI-driven advertisements were considered effective in clearly conveying the intended message. However, some audiences faced difficulties in understanding the technical aspects of AI, with certain individuals unaware of its application in the advertisements. The campaign successfully enhanced audience engagement and reinforced the brand’s image as an innovative entity. Originality – This study offers insights into the effectiveness of AI in marketing communication strategies within the entertainment industry.
