Abstract

This qualitative study examines the achievement of eight national education standards among state secondary schools in Medan. Data collection involved observation, documentation, and interviews with relevant informants. The research found that there were no significant differences between public and private schools in terms of content and process standards, with both meeting the required standards. However, differences were observed in graduate competency standards, educator and education personnel standards, facilities and infrastructure standards, asset management standards, lighting standards, and assessment standards. Specifically, graduate competency standards differed in terms of the specific characteristics of graduates, while educator and education personnel standards were primarily under the authority of the school principal. Facilities and infrastructure standards included procedures for acquisition, asset management standards were more flexible, lighting standards focused on the source of lighting, and assessment standards were well accommodated. Overall, this research provides valuable insights into the achievement of national education standards among state secondary schools in Medan.

Abstract

Abstract

Indonesia is a multicultural country that has many ethnicities and cultures. This makes Indonesia very vulnerable to inter-ethnic or inter-religious conflicts. To avoid this conflict, tolerance is needed in maintaining harmony between religious communities. One of the areas where there is conflict between religious communities in Tanjungbalai City, as a result of the problem of mosque loudspeakers (Toa) in the holy month of Ramadan. A resident who is a Buddhist, named Meliana who feels disturbed by the reading of the holy Qur'an at the time of tadarusan on the night of the holy month of Ramadan. The cause of conflict is due to poor communication between religious communities. In this case, the theory used in this research is the concept of cross-cultural communication and inter-cultural conflict by Samovar and Littlejohn & Domenici. Then also used the concept of social interaction from Gillin and Gillin. This research was conducted using a qualitative case study method and with the aim of looking for cross-cultural communication such as what happened between Muslims and Buddhists when the conflict occurred at that time. Based on this research, it was found that there was acculturation between Muslims and Buddhists. This acculturation indicates that the interaction formed between the two religious groups is an associative interaction pattern, so that there is no conflict as in other areas. Abstract

This study aims to describe and understand the pattern of cross-cultural communication of Santri at Darul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School and the obstacles experienced by Santri in communicating cross-culturally with other Santri. This research is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach in order to obtain broader and more in-depth information about the matters being discussed in this research. Techniques used in data collection include field observations, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used in this study are data analysis techniques from Miles and Huberman, namely: data reduction, data presentation and verification or conclusions. The results of this study indicate that cross-cultural communication is a process of exchanging thoughts and meanings between people of different cultures. When this communication occurs between people of different origins, between ethnic groups (interethnical), racial groups (interracial) or language communication (intercommunal) it is called cross-cultural communication. Cross-cultural communication from members of different cultures plays a role in human behavior, for example, the behavior of students from outside the region conforms to the local culture, so that students from outside the region behave according to the local culture. Abstract

The emergence of religion makes ancestral traditions used as a medium for delivering da'wah messages. When Islam entered the archipelago, the kenduri tradition was used as a medium of da'wah in conveying Islamic messages, because the kenduri tradition was very strong in society. Therefore, in this study, researchers tried to explore how the kenduri tradition became a medium of da'wah in spreading Islamic teachings in Javanese society. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The data collection technique was carried out by means of a study library by finding studies related to culture as a propaganda strategy, case studies of Javanese Kenduri culture, as well as observation by directly observing the kenduri procession in Sijambi Village. The results of the study show that there are four da'wah messages in the death feast tradition of Sijambi village. First, the verbal delivery of da'wah messages in the death feast tradition is found in the procession of reading tayyibah sentences, tasbih, dhikr and prayer readings. Second, the delivery of da'wah messages through nonverbal language. Third, the provision of food and drink is intended as a form of alms from the deceased in the hope of blessing from Allah SWT. Fourth, the da'wah messages contained in the Kenduri tradition of the Sijambi Village community are the values ​​of unity and friendship between fellow communities. Abstract

Literasi numerasi merupakan keterampilan esensial yang wajib dimiliki oleh siswa sekolah dasar guna mendukung pemahaman matematika dan aplikasinya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Namun, hasil Asesmen Nasional menunjukkan bahwa banyak siswa masih memiliki tingkat literasi numerasi yang rendah. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh dukungan orang tua dan proses pembelajaran terhadap literasi numerasi siswa di SD Negeri 104219 Tanjung Anom. Metode penelitian yang dipakai adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket dan tes numerasi. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa minat belajar, kebiasaan belajar, dorongan orang tua, metode pembelajaran, dan kemandirian siswa berpengaruh signifikan terhadap literasi numerasi mereka. Siswa yang memiliki minat tinggi terhadap matematika dan kebiasaan belajar yang baik memperoleh hasil numerasi lebih tinggi dibandingkan mereka yang kurang memiliki kebiasaan tersebut. Sokongan orang tua yang lebih dinamis dalam mendampingi belajar siswa juga berkontribusi dalam mengoptimalkan pemahaman numerasi siswa. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran yang interaktif, keterlibatan orang tua, serta strategi peningkatan motivasi siswa perlu dioptimalkan untuk meningkatkan literasi numerasi mereka

Abstract

Literasi numerasi merupakan keterampilan penting dalam pengelolaan usaha, terutama bagi pelaku usaha kecil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan literasi numerasi dalam kegiatan usaha Depot Air Tirta Nauli di Desa Selambo, Medan Amplas, serta mengidentifikasi kendala dan strategi peningkatannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi numerasi diterapkan dalam berbagai aspek usaha, seperti pencatatan transaksi, penghitungan keuntungan, dan pengelolaan stok. Namun, pemilik usaha masihmenghadapi kendala dalam pencatatan keuangan yang kurang terstruktur dan minimnya pemanfaatan teknologi. Untuk meningkatkan literasi numerasi, disarankan penerapan sistem pencatatan yang lebih sistematis, penggunaan alat bantu seperti kalkulator atau aplikasi pencatatan keuangan, serta pelatihan dasar pengelolaan keuangan bagi pemilik dan karyawan. Dengan peningkatan literasi numerasi, usaha depot air ini tidak hanya dapat berjalan lebih efisien, tetapi juga berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan keterampilan numerasi masyarakat sekitar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran literasi numerasi dalam kemandirian ekonomi pedagang di daerah Patumbak, Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara. Literasi numerasi merupakan kemampuan penting bagi pedagang dalam mengelola keuangan usaha, menghitung modal, laba, serta menetapkan harga jual yang tepat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan kuesioner terhadap 10 pedagang yang dipilih secara purposive. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar pedagang telah memiliki kemampuan berhitung dasar, tetapi masih banyak yang belum mencatat keuangan usaha dengan baik (40%), mengalami kesulitan dalam menghitung laba (70%), dan kurang memahami sistem pinjaman (60%). Kendala-kendala tersebut dapat menghambat kemandirian ekonomi pedagang. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi peningkatan literasi numerasi, seperti pelatihan pencatatan keuangan, edukasi perhitungan laba, pendampingan dalam memahami sistem pinjaman, dan pemanfaatan alat bantu hitung. Dengan meningkatnya literasi numerasi, pedagang diharapkan dapat mengelola usaha mereka dengan lebih mandiri dan meningkatkan stabilitas ekonomi keluarga mereka.
