Abstract

Advances in digital technology in the health sector have created significant opportunities for health workers to enhance their ability to detect non-communicable diseases (NCDs) at an early stage. The use of the risk detection feature in the SatuSehat application at the primary service level is still limited because some officers do not understand how to use it and its benefits in promotive and preventive activities. This community service program aims to strengthen the knowledge and skills of Puskesmas staff in using the SatuSehat application as a tool for early detection of NCDs. The method employed was training with a participatory educational approach, involving the presentation of materials, live demonstrations, discussions, and evaluations through pre- and post-tests. The activity was conducted at the Kesunean Health Center in Cirebon City and involved 25 health workers. The results showed an improvement in participants’ knowledge, with the average pre-test score increasing from 79 to 90 in the post-test. Several participants were introduced to the early detection feature for the first time during the training and expressed strong interest in applying it. The training contributed to improving digital literacy among health workers and strengthening NCD prevention efforts at the primary care level.

Abstract

The implementation of digital health information systems, such as e-Puskesmas, plays an important role in supporting electronic medical records in primary healthcare facilities. However, technical constraints, including network instability and system integration issues, may affect user satisfaction among healthcare workers. This study aims to analyze healthcare workers’ satisfaction in using e-Puskesmas based on the End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) method. This research employed a quantitative analytic approach with a cross-sectional design, involving 35 healthcare workers at Puskesmas Klangenan using total sampling. The variables consisted of five EUCS dimensions, namely content, accuracy, format, ease of use, and timeliness. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire with a Likert scale and analyzed using descriptive statistics and Spearman correlation test. The results showed that user satisfaction was categorized as very satisfied across all EUCS dimensions, with mean scores ranging from 4.11 to 4.47. All EUCS dimensions had a positive and significant relationship with user satisfaction (p < 0.05), with format and ease of use showing the strongest correlations. It can be concluded that the quality of system and information in e-Puskesmas significantly influences healthcare workers’ satisfaction, indicating the need for continuous system development to support optimal healthcare services.

Abstract

Breast tumors are classified into two types, namely benign and malignant tumors, the latter commonly referred to as breast cancer. Breast cancer is one of the major health problems affecting women worldwide, including in Indonesia. According to WHO data in 2022, there were 2.3 million breast cancer cases with 685,000 deaths globally, while in Indonesia, 396,914 cases and 234,511 deaths were reported. The high incidence rate is exacerbated by low public awareness in recognizing early symptoms and performing early detection, resulting in 60–70% of cases being diagnosed at an advanced stage, supported by findings that 65.6% of female students still have a low level of knowledge. Female students were selected as research subjects because they are in a vulnerable reproductive age group and have an important role in increasing awareness of early detection, yet they still have limited knowledge. Based on this, this study aims to design a web-based early detection system for breast tumor risk using the Forward Chaining method, which functions as a tool to identify early symptoms, assess risk levels, and provide information on prevention and initial management. This study employed the method with the Expert System Development Life Cycle (ESDLC) model, consisting of the stages of assessment, knowledge acquisition, design, testing, and documentation, along with the Forward Chaining inference method.

Abstract

Background: The Waruroyom Community Health Center has implemented the E-Puskesmas application as an information system to support recording, service data management, and health reporting. Initial observations revealed constraints such as network disruptions, suboptimal data input processes, and differences in users' ability to operate the system, which affected health workers' satisfaction. Methods: This research used a quantitative descriptive approach with a population of 47 health workers at Waruroyom Community Health Center, all of whom were included as samples (total sampling). Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire based on the six dimensions of the PIECES method. Results: All six PIECES dimensions fell within the satisfied category, with mean scores ranging from 3.83 to 4.10. The Information dimension obtained the highest mean (4.10), while the Performance dimension obtained the lowest mean (3.83). The highest satisfaction indicator across all dimensions was information accuracy (89.3%), while the lowest was the indicator of systems rarely experiencing errors (44.6%). Discussion: The strength of E-Puskesmas lies in its information quality, while technical stability remains a primary challenge. Conclusions: Health workers at Waruroyom Community Health Center are satisfied with E-Puskesmas in all six PIECES dimensions. Improvements are needed particularly in the Performance dimension, especially in minimizing system errors and strengthening technical support services.

Abstract

Pending BPJS Kesehatan claims remain a significant obstacle to hospital financing as they can disrupt cash flow and service continuity. This study aims to analyze the factors causing pending BPJS Kesehatan claims for inpatient services at Waled Regional Hospital in the third quarter of 2025. The study used a descriptive quantitative design with a retrospective cross-sectional approach. The population and sample consisted of 908 pending claim files using a total sampling technique. The research instrument was a checklist, while data analysis was conducted descriptively using frequency distribution and percentages. The results showed that the most common cause of pending claims was the coding aspect at 41.9%, followed by the medical aspect at 35.0% and the administrative aspect at 23.1%. In the administrative aspect, the most dominant problem was the mismatch of care classes. In the medical aspect, the main cause was neonatal asphyxia that did not meet the TKMKB criteria. In the coding aspect, the most common problem was inaccurate diagnosis codes or those that needed to be adjusted to clinical data based on verification BPJS. In conclusion, pending claims at Waled Regional Hospital are multidimensional and interrelated, thus requiring strengthening clinical documentation, coding accuracy, and integrated administrative verification.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) remains a major public health problem in Indonesia, particularly in densely populated areas. Control efforts require accurate data and spatial analysis to understand disease distribution patterns. Geographic Information System (GIS) is an effective tool for visualizing case distribution and supporting surveillance and planning of control programs at the primary healthcare level. This study aims to describe the spatial distribution of Dengue cases based on medical record data and produce a geographic distribution map to support Dengue control efforts at the Puskesmas level. This study used a quantitative descriptive design with secondary data from medical records at Karangsari Health Center. The sample consisted of 255 DHF patients in 2025, selected using a total sampling technique. Data were processed through editing, geocoding patient addresses, and spatial analysis using QGIS software. The results showed 255 Dengue  cases in 2025 with fluctuating monthly trends, peaking in April and lowest in December. Case distribution was uneven and tended to cluster. High-risk areas accounted for 15.7%–21.2%, moderate-risk areas 9.8%–15.7%, and low-risk areas 7.1%–9.8%. Megu Cilik Village had the highest proportion of cases, while other villages were categorized as moderate and low risk. This pattern indicates that Dengue incidence is influenced by environmental conditions, vector density, host factors, rainfall, and Aedes aegypti presence. GIS provides clearer spatial visualization, helping identify high-risk areas and supporting targeted public health interventions.
