Abstract

Basically, every child has the right to grow and develop in their life. The main problem in this study is the language development of speech delay children at the Bureau of Psychology. Speech delay itself is a condition of children who experience delays in speaking. This study aims to describe efforts to develop language using the storytelling method on the speaking ability of children with speech delay at the Jepara Applied Psychology Bureau. This study uses a research method with a descriptive qualitative research type. The data sources for this study are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation at the Jepara Applied Psychology Bureau. The research data sources were obtained from the head of the bureau, counselors or therapists, and parents of speech delay children. The results of the research in the field succeeded in obtaining several findings, namely: Application of the storytelling method as an effort to develop the language of speech delay children. The media used are dolls, surrounding objects, and fairy tale books. The steps used start from praying, mouth exercises, applying the storytelling method, relaxation, re-telling, and closing. In addition, guidance and counseling services are provided by counselors to parents as supporting steps. From the implementation process, several obstacles were obtained such as children having tantrums, falling asleep, being lazy to express themselves, and children being passive. However, the application of the storytelling method has several developments, such as children being able to make sentences, being able to interact with other people, and being able to respond to other people's communication. Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi dan pendampingan kepada ibu-ibu balita dalam membangun pola asuh positif sejak dini guna mendukung tumbuh kembang anak yang bahagia dan sehat. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam bentuk sharing session pada 28 Juli 2025 di Dusun Gandarusa, Desa Cikakak, Kecamatan Wangon, dan diikuti oleh sekitar 10 ibu yang merupakan wali dari anak-anak peserta kelas balita. Latar belakang kegiatan ini adalah pentingnya peran ibu dalam menciptakan lingkungan pengasuhan yang aman, penuh kasih, dan mendukung perkembangan anak secara menyeluruh. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi penyampaian materi, diskusi interaktif, dan sesi tanya jawab. Materi yang disampaikan mencakup: (1) prinsip dasar pola asuh positif, (2) pentingnya komunikasi penuh kasih antara orang tua dan anak, dan (3) stimulasi perkembangan anak sejak dini. Melalui kegiatan ini, para peserta didorong untuk menerapkan pola asuh positif dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Diharapkan kegiatan ini mampu meningkatkan kepercayaan diri ibu dalam mengasuh anak serta memperkuat komunitas pengasuhan di lingkungan sekitar

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengidentifikasi model pengasuhan orang tua tunarungu dalam mengembangkan komunikasi anak dengan pendengaran normal; (2) memahami perkembangan komunikasi anak; dan (3) mengidentifikasi kendala komunikasi yang dihadapi. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data dianalisis melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan verifikasi. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa orang tua tunarungu menerapkan tiga model pengasuhan: grandparenting, demokratis, dan permisif, untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi dan kepercayaan diri anak. Anak-anak menunjukkan perkembangan komunikasi yang positif sesuai tahapan usia. Kendala utama adalah perbedaan bahasa dan keterbatasan dalam pengasuhan mandiri. Solusi yang diterapkan meliputi pembelajaran bahasa isyarat oleh anak dan peran aktif kakek-nenek dalam pengasuhan.

Abstract

Deaf children experience limitations in verbal communication that significantly affect their emotional regulation and social adjustment. These conditions require inclusive and adaptive guidance and counseling services. This study aims to describe the implementation of inclusive counseling approaches for deaf children at State Special School (SLB Negeri) Cilacap. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method through observation and in-depth interviews with school counselors. The research subject was a 10-year-old deaf student. The results indicate that the humanistic counseling approach plays a central role in building an empathetic and supportive counseling relationship. Behavioral, cognitive, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches were applied situationally to support adaptive behavior and emotional regulation. The main challenge encountered was limited verbal communication, which requires counselors to master alternative communication strategies such as sign language and visual media. This study concludes that integrative inclusive counseling approaches contribute positively to emotional regulation and social adjustment of deaf children.

Abstract

Optimizing Career Guidance in the Self-Development Process of Persons with Disabilities at the Kudus Disability Communication Forum .This study aims to obtain an in-depth description of the Implementation of Career Guidance, the efforts and obstacles in the Self-Development Process of Persons with Disabilities at the Kudus Disability Communication Forum. This study uses a qualitative approach that is presented descriptively with data collection techniques used through observation, interviews, and documentation of the activities in the Kudus Disability Communication Forum. In this study, it was found that the efforts of the FKDK were to establish relationships with social institutions so that they could develop and be accepted by the community, in addition to holding social activities to foster social feelings and empathy for fellow persons with disabilities. The obstacles experienced often come from within the individual, such as a lack of self-confidence and a willingness to grow. It is necessary to hold more training related to self-motivation, personal branding, and self-understanding in addition to developing and forming a high sense of self-esteem for people with disabilities, this is also a provision for people with disabilities.Keywords: Career Guidance, Self-Development, Disability

Abstract

Pada setiap orang ada kecenderungan atau dorongan untuk mewujudkan potensinya, dorongan untuk berkembang dan menjadi matang, dorongan untuk mengungkapkan dan mengaktifkan semua kapasitas seseorang. Akibat dari ketunanetraan, maka pengenalan atau pengertian terhadap dunia luar anak, tidak dapat diperoleh secara lengkap dan utuh. Akibatnya perkembangan kognitif anak tunanetra cenderung terhambat dibandingkan dengan anak-anak normal pada umumnya. Apabila lingkungan dapat memberikan kesempatan untuk berbuat, serta membantu anak tunanetra untuk melakukan penyesuaian sosial yang sebaik-baiknya, niscaya perkembangan kepribadian anak tunanetra tidak berbeda sebagaimana layaknya anak normal lainnya. Dalam pembahasanya kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik, observasi dan wawancara langsung terhadap kegiatan pengembangan diri anak tunanetra di Panti Asuhan Aisyiyah Ponorogo. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa kegiatan pengembangan diri yang dilaksanakan di panti, wajib diikuti oleh seluruh anak asuh. Bentuk kegiatan pengembangan diri yang dilakukan terhadap anak tunanetra di Panti Asuhan Tunanetra Aisyiyah Ponorogo mencangkup 3 jenis kegiatan yaitu Tarbiyah Islamiyah, Pelajaran Kecakapan, dan Ekstra Kurikuler.Kata Kunci : anak tunanetra, pengembangan diri, potensi

Abstract

Understanding Student Needs through Student Needs Analysis: Case Study at SMA Negeri 1 Wanadadi. Needs Analysis of Students (NAS) is an approach used in guidance and counseling to identify the specific needs of students in various aspects of development. This study aims to understand the needs of students at SMA N 1 Wanadadi to design more effective guidance and counseling interventions. This research employs a quantitative descriptive method with a survey approach. Data were collected through an NAS questionnaire adapted from the counseling questionnaire model, involving twelfth-grade students as respondents selected using purposive sampling. The questionnaire consists of four main domains: personal, social, academic, and career. The research findings indicate that the personal domain is the most dominant aspect, with a need percentage of 41.03%, particularly in developing self-confidence and managing emotions. The academic domain ranks second (32.70%), with a primary focus on time management techniques and effective learning strategies. Meanwhile, the social domain (11.77%) highlights students' needs in building healthy interpersonal relationships, while the career domain (14.03%) emphasizes the importance of guidance in planning a future aligned with students' potential and interests. The contribution of this study underscores the importance of strengthening guidance and counseling services in schools, focusing more on self-confidence development, emotional management, and effective learning strategies.Keywords: Needs Analysis Of Students, Educational Problems, Guidance, Personal Development.

Abstract

This research aims to. First, to find out the difference in the average value of the pre-test and post-test experiments, the effect of behavioral counseling on the self-confidence of persons with visually impaired persons at the Pendowo Kudus Pendowo Kudus Social Service Center for Sensory Disabilities (PPPSDSN). And second, to find out whether behavioral counseling has an effect on increasing the self-confidence of persons with visually impaired persons at the Pendowo Kudus Pendowo Kudus Social Services Center for Sensory Disabilities. This research is a quantitative category. The design used in this study is a pre-experiment with a one group pretest posttest design. The sample in this study uses a non-probability technique, namely a sample that does not provide equal opportunities or opportunities for each population to be selected as a sample, using purposive sampling, the research instrument uses a questionnaire, then the data analysis used is the T-test sampling (paired sample). ). T-test) with the help of SPSS version 20.00. The results of this study indicate: First, there is a significant difference in self-confidence of people with visual impairment before and before being given treatment (treatment) through behavior which can be seen from the difference in the average score of pretest 51.8 and posttest 82.8. Second, the results of the hypothesis test also show that the value of sig (2-tailed) is 0.000 < 0.05, which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that behavioral counseling has an effect on increasing the self-confidence of people with visually impaired persons at Panti Social Services with Disabilities.
